Door 2 - The Wasteland

Jordan looked at her incredulously. He did start to remember. Insanity, all of it. It couldn't be real, but apparently, it was.

"So, there is an underground complex below the city?" Jordan was sure this would be the best possible explanation. Entertaining other notions would simply be frivolous.

"Er, not exactly... maybe it's best if you see for yourself." On that note Cindy helped Jordan to his feet and walked him through a door and into the garage. They passed by a large robot idling in the corner. "We call those 'Wrecks'." She told Jordan, noticing him glance at the machine. Without expanding on the nature of the Wreck, she took him to the door.

"Might want to hold your breath, you've had enough bad air." She warned before opening the door, revealing the pale orange sky and dusty landscape of the Wasteland to Jordan. It was clear that he was not underground.

Wrecks? Robotics? What the hell is going on here?

Jordan stared grimly at the desolate scene before him. Everything was dead, no nothing was there to be dead. All that lay before him was dust and his hope, or what was left of it, crumbling in the eerie sky.

"Shut the door. I've seen enough." Jordan turned away and put his hands up against a nearby wall. His head was drooped. All he could do was stare at the floor in despair and bewilderment.

Cindy sighed and shut the door. "It's not all like this." She said gently. "This place has always been in bad shape, even before the invasion. If you'd like, we could escort you elsewhere. I have a good idea of where the others, like you, might be."

She approached Jordan and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm pretty sure they're probably the same people you came here with. Maybe they can help you remember. The scenery's probably nicer where they're at, too."

Jordan agreed that meeting up with the others would be best and allowed Cindy to guide him through the door and to the manor. There they waited a few minutes before the others began to show up. Cindy made introductions and went back the Wasteland, leaving Jordan with the others as they made their way through Door 7.
