I've labelled the various people. Maybe this will help give a bit of idea on how you're getting about.

The lieutenant's been knocked out, thugs 1 and 3 damaged. The road is 10 feet wide. Or, for you not-so-good metric people, about 2.5 squares. The targets are about 20 feet away, or 5 squares.

To each side of the 'road' there is brushes, and to the right is a ditch which enhances cover. There's also various trees and roots. It is a jungle.
