Zeroki smiled.

Of all the strange quirks that defined him, his smile was the worst, for the glint of fangs gave silent and horrid testament to his true nature.

"When my death comes, It will be at the hands of a being far superior to myself, and I will relish such a moment. I physically cannot die any other way. Until that day, however, I will live my life to it's fullest." His eerie unblinking eyes bored into the man before him. "I do not pretend to be a messiah, for I am no leader of men. I just happen to think that life is too short, even among immortals..."

Riku chucled "Ironic" Riku looked to the others

Nights looked at the other guy, "Your weird in a weird way." She told him. She watched as the sun rose into the sky. Nights swiftly moved to where the sun's rays couldn't reach, the shadows. She hated being in the sun.

Riku looked up and held his hand out to the sun "We need to deal with this war"  

[Zeroki Arbalan]

Zeroki noticed her move away from the sunlight. After a bit of fidgeting, his cloak produced a long fingered hand that was as pale and bony as the rest of him. He reached out into the light, watching with something approaching curiosity as his hand started to smolder. He held it there as long as he could bear, to the point where it actually began smoking before withdrawing it back into his cloak.

"Dislike the sun? That's me as well... Mind if I join you in the shade?"

Nights shrugged, "Go on ahead." She told him, looking at his hand. Nights had a different reason for hating the sun, it didn't hurt her in any way, not psychically anyways. It made her weak, to long in the sun her powers made her faint if she tried to use them. She sighed as she leaned against the wall, her hair and hood covering her face from view.

"Alright, can we move on now?" Raine said, getting sick of the death talk "Not the point of this gathering" she said firmly and looked at them "Whether or not you have someone or something to protect is not the point and personally, i don't care. I am just following instructions"

"So? What's the purpose of this gathering then?" Riku turned to Raine

"As i said, to train, to prepare, i don't know much beyond that, controlling powers i guess is a focus" she said bluntly crossing her arms "i am just following the headmaster's orders"

"How will you two teach all of us if we're different races?"  

[AriKan]

"well, that's kind of the hope is that you won't try to kill each other based on race" she said calmly "The point is to work together thought i don't expect harmony but at least SOME kind of team work"

Riku nodded "I'm fine with training but i'm not working in a team... Never have never will"

Raine sighed "dear lord men are SO DIFFICULT" she thought to herself, she was annoyed and just wanted t fly away but knew that she couldn't

Nights groaned at the girl's thoughts, "Do you ever find yourself annoying?" She asked Raine

"I can second that and it's not my fault... I've always been a loner why change what' worked for me?" Riku looked at her
