[PRP] A Chance Meeting (Naru & lysia)

She looked around the building as he lead her inside. She was looking to see if it looked in disrepair for the most part. Her attention was pulled by the movement of an older man who was walking out to greet them, no doubt he ran the building.

Aahlada regarded this older man with a rather suspicious look, like a bird would a snake. Little as he was, he'd been told by his mother's friends he was her protector and he was planning on being just that. Her little protector and lucky for him, her big protector was here too.

The building seemed to be in fairly goo condition, no real signs of disrepair being noted upon a first glance. Of course, just like her, Kadar could not get a full assesment of the place when he saw the older man head their way.. a formal greeting being given.

"Afternoon to you. And how might I help you today?" The man seemed rather proper when addressing them. But it was unsure if that was his nature or because he knew who Kadar was.

"We are actually in the market for a new home... and we thought you might be able to give us a little insight on what you have to offer." Kadar looked over to Lakshmi, holding back a chuckle at the look crossing the young boy's face.

She gave a small nod in greeting. "Good after noon." She smiled still trying to gaze around for any signed of stress. "How old is this building?" She looked from the molding on the ceiling to the older man, catching the look on her son's face in the process. Holding back a chuckle, she gave his head a small kiss causing him to look back at her. She gave his nose a light tap letting him know it was ok to look friendly.

As he looked at his mother and she tapped his nose, he smiled at her a genuine smile that filled his eyes with warmth though when he looked back to the old man, the scowl returned.

Another chuckle escaped Kadar as the boy's face seemed to go back to that "vicious" scowl he'd given the old man when they'd enter, his eye soon giving the building another glance to see if there was anything to truly be worried about. "That is a good question..." He remarked to Lakshmi's words, arms crossing over his chest.

The old man took a moment before giving an answer. "This place has been around for quite sometime... Is there some concern you have with it?"

Looking back to the older man, she gave a small smile nothing cold but not exactly one she'd give to her closest friend either. "Well You see We have two young boys to look after so naturally we have concerns about the safety of a new home.. Space.. and of course.. there is the cost." It was a side of her she didn't show too often, the side of her that was all business and less like the smooth flowing water that went where ever the bend of rocks went.

Hearing Kadar laugh, he looked over to him and grinned wide. He was obviously pleased that some one here seemed to think he was doing well.

Kadar arched a brow as Lakshmi seemed to be showcasing a side he never knew she had, a smirk eventually settling across his lips. Well, it was obvious where the boy got his demeanor from, a light rub given to his head before turning is attentions back to the older gentleman. "Yes... but space is the major concern for us, to be perfectly honest. Like my 'wife' said, we do have two boys that will be running around if we decide to live here..." He knew things weren't official, but he also knew that not to many were keen on knowing that couples weren't married when obtaining a home in these parts.

"I see... well, it is affordable, I can tell you that... but if you're looking for more space, you might be seeing a little price increase." He remarked.

She arched a finely shaped brow at his working. She wasn't a fool she didn't think a small unit would be the same price as a larger one. "Just how big of an increase are we talking?" She was being cautious even though she knew that they could always look some where else. They didn't have to settle on just this place first rattle out of the cage.

"Not to much... it all depends on how much you were looking to spend, honestly." The man remarked.

"How about you just show us what units you have available hmm?" She shifted Aahlada on her hip readjusting him as he started to squirm about. "What do you think? Good idea dear?" She looked to Kadar and gave him that genuine smile that light up her eyes like candles reflected on a pool.

Aahlada squirmed a bit further. He too wanted to wander around and get a good idea of what this place was like. It was like that with him.. he didn't like to have to set still for too long especially some place new.

"That sounds like a wonderful idea to me, love." He flashed the same genuine smile right on back, taking her hand in his before looking back to the other jinn. "So, care to lead on?" There was no brashness in his tone nor demand, the smile remaining on his lips as he awaited the other's movements.

The older jinn gave a nod. "If you would just follow me, I will show you what I have available. Hopefully they will be to the lady's liking." Without hesitation, he proceeded to lead them down the hall and up a stair well.

She gave his hand a light squeeze a small giggle escaping her. She had a feeling he'd been surprised by the change in demeanor with her. Leaning in she whispered as they walked so as not to be over heard. "Sorry.. I guess after being alone so long and especially after the boys.. I learned to just.. take a stand with things like this."

He leaned back over as they continued up the stairwell, "There is no need to apologize... I think that you surprised him most of all. Guess he's not used to a strong female presence." A chuckle left him as he stated this, her hand being given a gentle squeeze in return.

Soon, after a few minute walk into the building, they were brought to one of the 'finer' dwellings the jinn had been speaking about. "For the time being, this is the only one I have which might suit all of your needs..." He opened the door to the room after fumbling about for its key, allowing the three to enter before him.

She gave another light laugh. "It's possible.." She nodded in her humor. It seemed most to her that when others saw her they thought she was the biggest push over but when push came to shove she was more like a wall of hard water and a thundering wave that the gentle flowing stream.

As the door was unlocked, she entered the unit and looked around, walking slowly. She finally set Aahlada on his own feet, keeping a hold on his tiny hand ash she inspected the first room.

He was thankful to be set down but the fact that she was still holding his hand made him give her a small pout. This place looked like it would be fun to explore and wander around in. But here he was.. attached by the hand to his mother under her watchful gaze so he couldn't get into any mischief.

A thoughtful hmm escaped Kadar as he glanced around the first room, taking care to look for any kind of imperfections that would make this dwelling unsuitable for them to live in. And, just like many times before, his index finger found itself tapping against his chin, feet taking him into the next room... which could either house the boys' room or be the master bedroom. Either or.

The older jinn did not bother to speak while they were inspecting the abode, awaiting to address any questions or concerns they might hold once inspection was done.

She waisted no time following him into the second room to inspect it along with him. so far it seemed like it had enough space for them And while she wouldn't always have Ashtad, she did want him to feel welcome here with his brother and not like the left overs. "What do you think?" She looked at Kadar seriously, wanting to know what he thought of the place and the old man all together.

Finally he managed to wriggle his little hand free and started his own little walk around the room. "Big..." His eyes were wide as he turned nearly falling on his tush. It was then that he spotted the window and made his way to it.
