They could just mention gold because C-3PO is so famous, though. That doesn't prove anything. I'd be willing to bet that after Threepio became famous, Cybot Galactica began making gold 3PO units to cash in on his popularity.

I thought Boba Fett as a clone took the clone thing a bit too far.
And, as much as I normally respect R.A. Salvatore, the killing off Chewie thing does not sit right with me. ;_;

It wasn't Salvatores fault. Fact being, he didnt want Chewie to die. the NJO Council and LucasBooks decided to reallly show the threat of the Vong, they would have to kill a main character, either Lando or Chewie, The vote came down, and they chose chewie. Salvatore didn't want Chewie to die, same with Troy Denning and Anakin.
