Thats ALWAYS the issue.
If you want I can tell you how much it will cost you to make your armor out of Mandalorian iron and its benefits ingame.
But trust me. You wont like it.

Wait, you mean buying Beskar in game? Or are you confusing me with MW (who is making mandalorian armor in real life)

Yes. Beskar in the game.

I bet it's stressful. Isn't beskar rarer in the star wars universe than diamonds are in the real world?

Like...deep underground on Mandalore

For a good reason.
Its not that its rare, its just uncommon. But the trick is that the Mandalorians are the only ones who know how to work the material into light effective body armor.

And Carthson Blikk only has Mandalorian Bloodline. Hell I don't think I'll give him Mandalorian in game for a while....but first I need to actually *play* the game..

Are GMs allowed to have Heroes on top of narrating?

Nothing explicitly states a GM cant have a player character, hereafter reffered to as a GMPC.

I do it, prmairly because I'm always stuck as the GM and want to play too.
As long as you keep it fair (No munchkining, no super abilities or favoratism) and dont have your character upstage the players (They're the stars after all), then you should be able to run an effective GMPC.

Munchkining?

Anyway, are there any specifications on how many players you need?

I could probably get MW to play, but I'd have to jump through hoops to find others.

2-4 players and 1 GM is my recomendation.
You can get along just fine with 2, 3 is my optimum and 4 is maximum. Anymore than that and it might get hectic as you're keeping up with everyone.

More than 3 (myself included) is just not happening.

I need to get my hands on the equipment guide and a few more booster packs of miniatures.

I want something that resembles Carthson Blikk a little more. Gonna make him a Soldier.

There is no equipment guide.
You need the Starships of the Galaxy instead, possibly Threats of the Galaxy as well.
If you got those two books you're set.

Miniatures arent necessary for a good game. They help, but they're not necessary. And if you're wondering about the squares, just remember that each square is about 1.5 meters.

I bought 2. I decided I want to have lots of mini's at my disposal, regardless of era. I'll work around that. lol.

Thanks, by the way, and I coulda sworn I saw an equipment guide a few months back. Listed all the blasters and armor and such.

No. If it was the same size as a normal RPG Supplement with orange and black coloring and paperpack, thats for the wrong system the old system. You dont need a hell of alot of gear beyond what the core rule book has.
Besides, all Saga Edition books are of a uniform, distinctly square shape and size, making them shorter and wider than the old supplements and books. In addition, they are all hard cover.
