"Flaaa?" Cute? This was a new one.
"Don't worry about it. Just Thunder Wave it!" Aden knew good and well it'd be of little use. But if it kept Clefable off for a second, it'd be worth it. Flaaffy wasn't able to move like she had wanted, leading to her getting hit by the harsh attack. But between the sudden discharge and the weak jolt that'd follow, Clefable may regret the endeavor for a moment.

The jolt made its mark upon the Clefable, leaving it caught with Paralysis a bit. Whitney, though, had just one more trick up her sleeve. "Well, shoot. Well, let's make the most of it, then! Clefable! Use Facade!" she shouted.
The Clefable then looked back at the Flaffy and went up to attack it in pure retaliation. I had to turn my head. I couldn't watch.

"Poliwhirl, forgive me!" Aden said, recalling Flaaffy at once. He had a feeling he might want to keep her around. He doubted any of his would endure such an attack, so someone was going to have to take a fall. Poliwhirl being as he was... yeah, someone was going to hate himself for a bit.
Especially after the switch was made, looking away. Poliwhirl didn't even have time to react before the attack nailed him hard, striking with impunity and ensuring he wouldn't be getting back up for a while. "Ugh..."

The Poliwhirl fell, and I couldn't help but to rub my eyes a bit. One down, two to go. Against her Clefable. This was going to be rough from here on. "Poliwhirl is no longer able to battle!" the ref announced. Poliwhirl's picture on the scoreboard grayed out.
"Well. I was wondering when one of them would have went down." Whitney said. "Come on, surely you can do better." Whitney said.
"Challenger, release one of the two Pokemon you have remaining!" The ref announced.

"Yeah... I plan on it." Aden said, recalling Poliwhirl with a sigh. He hated having to do that. "Nidoran, let's get a few more seconds. Flatter!"
He was quick about tossing another ball to get Nidoran back out, though he had absolutely no nice words to say to Clefable. Not even sarcasm seemed worthy. So he gave her the harshest Fury Attack series he could.
"Uh..." Aden kinda saw it coming, but... this probably wasn't going to help things much.

"That's...no...Flatter..." I said, seeing Nidoran rush for the Clefable with its multiple jabs. Each jab, cushioned by the cosmic power.
"Well, apparently you need to work on your Pokemon training at this rate, not even your Nidoran is wanting to listen at this rate." Whitney said. "Clefable! Try to get out of that paralysis real quick! Use Heal Bell!" she shouted.
The Clefable lifted its arms up and went to go give it a wave, but before she was able to complete the cure-all, her spine felt like it locked up. Almost as if the Clefable pulled something, which didn't feel too good to it. Paralysis had a pretty nasty grip for a second... "Uh-oh..." Whitney said.

Nidoran only shot a dirty look at Whitney for that one. Any other time, he'd have listened without an issue. Right now? No. He's staring down something that decided to pick him up like some doll and kiss him. Any chance of being nice went after that.
"He usually does. I might be in a rut in this battle, but I'm not out of this just yet. Nidoran, since I know flattering Clefable isn't something you're up for, let's give it another jolt. Shock Wave!" He called.
He figured this would give Nidoran a way to keep some distance, though he was more willing to send the zap anyway.

The Shockwave dealt more damage upon the Clefable, knocking it over. The Cosmic power still cushioned the blow, but it was now starting to get rather dire for it. "Oh dear, Clefable! Try Heal Bell again!" Clefable didn't even bother trying to get up. Didn't want to risk the paralysis taking hold again if it got right back up. The Clefable moved its arms up and gave them a wave.
Gong went a bell, and Clefable was right back up. It was free from paralysis for the time being, to which the Clefable gave a sigh of relief to.
I looked back at Aden. He had to act in a hurry.

"Don't let up! Double Kick!" Forget subtlety, if Aden didn't keep up the assault now, he'd never make leeway. It helped that Nidoran was all too happy to kick Clefable again.
He feared to know what was really going through that Pokemon's mind.

Ryan would wander over to where Blizz was. "Aden is doing alright, but he really needs to finish of that Clefable. What awaits him next is going to require all his pokemon he has left." he says to him in a voice that only Blizz would be able to hear.

What awaits him next is going to require all his pokemon he has left." he says to him in a voice that only Blizz would be able to hear. "There you are." I said to him. "Whitney mentioned you being here earlier. Had to run off somewhere before coming back this way?" I asked him, veering my eyes towards him, only to look back at the action before me. The Clefable got kicked. Twice. Hard. The Clefable stumbled back over. Despite the Cosmic Power cushioning the blow, the Clefable couldn't find itself getting back up from that raging onslaught. ".........Clefable is unable to battle! The winner of this bout goes to Nidoran!" "Oooohhhhh. I'm sorry Clefable! Here, you did good today. Take a break, okay?" "Yeesh..." Aden kept Nidoran close for the moment. Whitney was a lot more brutal than he thought possible. She was making him sweat even more than Bugsy or Falkner did. But he was ready. Or so he hoped.

Back when I was rolling Gyms, Gym Leaders didn't have a set number. As such, Whitney only had two: her Clefable and her Miltank. Which makes the aura around said cow all that more impressive." Ryan explains. And now he was curious as to what Whitney's new pokemon was going to be.
