PaulTheWolf5575 Yup...this is true... And its different. If you yank all the armor, rebuild the superstructure and replace it with modern equivalents it becomes a modern vessel. Its different with Spacecraft Yeah, but where do you get the money to do that?

Des Voh Well we don't really have anyhting new to workwith. Legacy is still very new, and theres not much out about the ships or equipment thats times has brought forth. Well then make stuff up or start being intentionally vague. The fact people use century old technology pisses me off to a degree that I cant even begin to explain.

I'm more curious as to what ground technology is.
AT-ATs are probably about as used in legacy as Juggernaughts in the GCW.

Cale, The Falcon was old when Han got it.
It continued on to the New Republic era, still flying as well as it had ever.
Even Post-Vong War.

Of course, there was the Kapella... a design over 1000 years old...

And he flew it for another 30-40 years after that. And it was always malfunctioning, shorting out, and spent more time in a maintenance hangar than in space.

Not to mention the complete system incompatibilities and strains the systems always underwent. There's a reason the three droid brains all agreed the thing wouldn't fly. He jerry-rigged the entire thing before doing a hop and a jump, then repairs were needed. Its a wonder the hyperdrive could even handle itself.
