"Alright, so you got by Clefable. Now let's see you try this one on for size!" she said. "Go! Ditto!" She shouted, tossing the Pokeball out.
"Wait. What? Since when...!?"
The ball landed on the ground and before the Nidoran out came...a gelatinous blob. "Ditto!" It spoke up.
"..........." I...was officially...at a loss for words. I said that Normal types tend to adapt to anything that comes their way, I DIDN'T MEAN LITERALLY!

"...The heck is that thing?" Aden had to raise an eyebrow at this one. A blob? Really? If this was Whitney's way of looking down on him, he didn't like it. "Nidoran, make sure that thing isn't going to suffocate you or make you drink it. Just... go for a Focus Energy or something."
He really was at a loss here. He didn't really even know what use a Ditto was. Nidoran, though, pumped himself up in a hurry. He was ready, for now.

In a bright glow, right before Aden's and Nidoran's eyes, the Ditto changed shape. It went from a blob...to a exact copy of Nidoran. "NIIIIII!" The copy cried out. "Heeeere we go." I said. This was getting painful.

He knew that they lived in this area, but for Whitney to actually go out and get one? It was quite the surprise.

"Wait, crap, what the...!?" Aden and Nidoran just stared for a moment. Oh hell no. This wasn't right. This wasn't right at all. "No, just... no. Nidoran, attack that jello impostor! Horn Attack!"
This led to Nidoran going for a harsh attack from the getgo, trying to jab Ditto with his horn. Any chance of poisoning was right out, but it'd still hurt.

The Ditto takes the Horn attack head on, getting knocked back a bit. "Niiii!!!" It cried out. "Well! Apparently someone isn't all that appreciative. Thank you for showing a few things about your Nidoran earlier, Aden! Ditto! Use Flatter!" she shouted. The Ditto managed to get back on its newly found Nidoran legs then...started to complement the Nidoran. Nice Horn Attack that was back there.

Aden just stood there, mouth gaping. She... she was using everything against him. Even his own blasted Pokemon. And he had to go through THIS just to reach Morty? "Nidoran, can you try anything?"
Even Nidoran didn't know what to make of it thanks to the flattery. The question didn't even ring through, everything was too confusing.
"This... really isn't good..."

"This... really isn't good..." This wasn't good. Aden doesn't even know what to do at this point. He had his own tactic turned against him. It was obvious to me that Clefable was foreplay, if Aden realized it or not. Taking all those hits left and right, and causing damage in the meantime, forcing Aden into switching on a near constant basis...God, she played Aden like a piano! "Alright, Ditto! We got them on the run now!" she said. "Go! Use Fury Attack!" she shouted. "Niiiiii!" The Ditto rushed forward, making its rapid fire jabs upon Aden's Nidoran.

Sudden jabs, on the other hand, proved to get Nidoran back to reality a little. But only a little; it was still confusing to be given a compliment and then attacked. Nevermind how many times he had done it himself.
Not that this helped Aden any. He was trying not to panic. There had to be something to keep him afloat. Though, there was that one side effect of Flatter... if he could get it to work in his favor. Nidoran was hurting from the onslaught he was given, though. He wouldn't have too many chances here.
"I'm not running. Nidoran, try getting a Shock Wave off!"
However, it still didn't quite go through. Nidoran turned around, trying to make out what was said. He didn't quite hear it...

"Hahahaha! Thanks for reminding me! How about you give Shockwave a go, Ditto!"
"Niiiii!" It then fired off its own electrical wave towards the Nidoran.
My God, Nidoran needs to get it in gear, already...

"Nidoran, watch it!" But there was no avail. Not with that attack. Nidoran was zapped with impunity, managing to hang on... but it wouldn't be for long.
"Last chance... Nidoran, give it one of your own! Come on!"
That time, Nidoran managed to hear it without being so muddled. Shaking his head, he was quick to charge up and fire the attack. A thank you for the earlier flattery.

"NIIIIIIIIII!!!!" That by no means was kosher. That one. REALLY hurt. So badly in fact that the Ditto was in relatively the same shape at this point. "Uh-oh. Ditto! Use Horn Attack!" she said.
The copy shook its head then looked ahead then started to move, rushing for the Nidoran as hard as it could, charging head first for Aden's Nidoran.

One horn jab going against several jabs. That was not going to end well. Nidoran got past the hard charge, one jab after the next, and what didn't help the Ditto's case, unlike Clefable, it wasn't defense padded. The jabs hit their mark, one right after another. The Ditto fell back and hit the ground. And it was probably to their relief, the Ditto de-transformed back to its blob like state. "Diiiiittttooooooo..." It moaned on the ground. It wasn't getting up. "Ditto is unable to battle! The Winner of this bout goes to Nidoran!" The ref announced. "Holy hell." I said.

Nidoran, however, was reeling from the Horn Attack. How he was holding on, he nor Aden knew. But right now, it was a slight edge. Very slight. "Nidoran, come back for now..."
Aden didn't want to risk things further. He recalled Nidoran to give him a chance to recover, getting Flaaffy back out. Now there was that cow... unless she's since gotten a new terror.
