There was a bit of stunned silence, as Aden recalled his Nidoran. He wasn't exactly upset, or at least to the level he had reached several days before. At the same time, he felt like he disappointed Blizzard and Falkner a little.
"Yeesh..." Was the most he actually said following. He'd be learning not to underestimate someone, especially after this. "I didn't think so many ways of rough existed."

"I didn't think so many ways of rough existed." "Well, I have to say, that was a decent effort, but you have to do a lot better than that if you want to get by me and get my badge." Whitney said. "Mila mila!" The Miltank spoke in agreement. I finally made it towards Aden and gave him a bit of a pat on the back. "Don't dwell on it too much. learn from it and move on." I said. "There's always tomorrow that you can try again, just as long as you do at one point or another." "Hey Blizzard!" Whitney spoke up. "Thats a bit of a contender you have there. I'll be waiting whenever he's ready to go again! Not now, obviously, but you know!" "Yea, I know." I said. "We'll see what happens." I said.

"I know... I'll admit, though, it was a good match. But I think I better get my three checked up." Right now, he was a bit justified. Given what went down, he didn't want to delay that too much.
Still, better? This was going to be a bit. Especially with that Miltank involved.

Coming out of the gym, Aden was a lot more silent. A hand was in his vest pocket, trying to think on what happened. It was a little bit before he spoke again. "I think I should've listened to the warnings. That... sucked back there."

"We weren't kidding about her, let alone that Miltank. Though even I had to admit that I didn't expect her Ditto at the very least. I would had figured she'd pull something else like she has been known to do. That one was a new one on me." I said.

"Well I suppose you may just want to hang out at the Pokemon Center a bit and stay by your Pokemon for a little while, at least before you got to go back up to the National Park and see how your bug faired." I said. "It's probably just as well. They probably need you right now."

I thought about it. He probably got on the back of his mind about what Falkner had told him before he left. Expectations to be met, I suppose. I don't know...
It wasn't long until we found ourselves back at the Pokemon Center. "Go with your Pokemon. I'll see you in a bit. I'm going to go look for a Coke, okay?" I said, making my way off.

"Okay...?" Aden couldn't quite put his finger on it, but it almost seemed like something was bothering Blizzard too. Shrugging, he went further inside to drop his Pokemon off, going into one of the rooms so he could speak with them later.

Shrugging, he went further inside to drop his Pokemon off, going into one of the rooms so he could speak with them later. I went to a vending machine close by and got me a Coke from the machine and stared at it for a moment. "I need to invest in straws for travel." I said to myself, walking off towards the back to get one from the cafeteria. I started to think for a moment. That was a near slaughter back at the gym. I wondered at this point what I could do to help Aden. Really, at this moment, not much. Really, it all falls on him to make it through. Whitney has been known to be the first choke in the gym tour for most everyone. "Hmm..."

He wasn't sure what he could do to actually better his chances in the rematch. It isn't like he could spend weeks training his Pokemon or anything... after all, he feared he'd be holding Blizzard up on any potential travels aside.

It isn't like he could spend weeks training his Pokemon or anything... after all, he feared he'd be holding Blizzard up on any potential travels aside. The nurse would come in with Aden's Pokemon, bringing them in one at a time, a couple of minutes between each one. Aden would find that they were already being tended to. Bandages, ointments, etc, all there was upon them. First the Poliwhirl. Despite taking two super effective strikes, he probably got off easy compared to the three. Scrapes and a bit of bruising, and was accompanied by a good amount of water to get rid of the copper taste it has, if anything. Second off was Nidoran. Apparently, Nidoran needed to be sedated though a bit, so he'll be out a while. If not only because of it overexerting itself, probably the prolonged pain from taking the Miltank. Flaffy would also be found probably doped up for the moment. After taking those powerful blows from the Miltank, it wasn't kosher.

About the only thing Aden was relieved for was Poliwhirl. He got off easy. Hurt, but nothing too bad. And about the only one somewhat conscious; given what he could see with Nidoran, talking with him was out. And Flaaffy... yeech. He didn't want to try talking to her for the moment.
It all painted a picture that, unlike the battle's initial results, shook him. He had seen his Pokemon roughed up, sure. That was going to happen no matter what. But to this level... it scared him. Had he pushed them too far this time?
He didn't say anything just yet, as everything began to sink in. When he did speak, he felt compelled to ask one thing to the nurse. "Is... this normal for anyone returning from a gym fight here?"
