Darksol88 About the only thing Aden was relieved for was Poliwhirl. He got off easy. Hurt, but nothing too bad. And about the only one somewhat conscious; given what he could see with Nidoran, talking with him was out. And Flaaffy... yeech. He didn't want to try talking to her for the moment. It all painted a picture that, unlike the battle's initial results, shook him. He had seen his Pokemon roughed up, sure. That was going to happen no matter what. But to this level... it scared him. Had he pushed them too far this time? He didn't say anything just yet, as everything began to sink in. When he did speak, he felt compelled to ask one thing to the nurse. "Is... this normal for anyone returning from a gym fight here?" "Actually, if a trainer is unprepared, this could be done for any gym." The Nurse said. "Incidentally, this isn't the worse I've seen come from the gym here in this city." she then said. "Despite to the contrary, despite me not seeing them in any worse of condition leaves me to think you have trained these Pokemon rather well for what they are." she said.

Ryan hand lingered to speak with Whitney once more before heading off to the national park. it was now late enough that the results should be ready to be announced. Ryan makes his way back into the park. Time to see if the Pinsir he bagged was good enough.

"I'm not so sure about that. If anything, I was trying to play damage control there." Not that Aden was doubting his ability; he wasn't. But he had a feeling he could've done far better.

"It gets to a certain point where it could very well feel like that." The nurse told him. "At any rate, your Pokemon are probably going to need to stay here for a while. I can't allow them out until at the very least your Flaffy and Nidoran are free from their sedatives."

Much as he wanted to be there, there wasn't much point in it for now. He'd let them recover. In the meantime, he stepped out and started to head out of the Pokemon Center. If they were going to be a while, maybe he should check up on the contest.

Blizzard120 As Aden made his way down the hall, I was there to meet him at the front. I was about to meet him back in the room but decided against it when I saw him. "How are they?" I asked him. "Uh... let's just say they had better days..." Aden answered. "Poliwhirl's kinda fine. Nidoran... yeesh. He and Flaaffy were sedated. Difference is Flaaffy was sorta awake, if a bit loopy. Either way, yeah, talking to either of them's gonna be out for now. I didn't think I pushed them quite that hard back there, but..."

"Whitney kind of put you in a spot to either fight harder or take it laying down." I said. "She's good at doing that. Well, if that be the case..." I took a check at my watch. "The results should be in soon at the park, so how about we run up that way real quick and see how you turned out with that Scyther."

"At least I've got Geodude and Raticate if anything happens."

We arrived at the National Park and made our way to the area closest to the ranger station. People were gathering around near the announcement podium awaiting the announcement on the winners and for Aden to claim his Scyther.

He was quicker about claiming his Scyther, though, curious to see how things would turn up.

Ryan was standing there, Parkball with Pinisr inside, waiting for the results. He happens to look over his shoulder and sees Blizz and Aden. "hey there you two." he says.

He was quicker about claiming his Scyther, though, curious to see how things would turn up. "So he went at it over this way too." I said, crossing my arms. It was a short bit before someone came to the podium with a card in hand. "Welcome back to the National Park everyone. With a panel of judges, we have came with the top three Pokemon that we determine the strongest. It was a bit of a tough call this bunch, and that is saying something. There have been quite a few finds that even we didn't think imaginable in this park." he announced. "So without further adieu, let's get to it." He started looking at the card. "Third Place goes to...Aden of Agate Village for his vicious Scyther!" "Huh. Well...hell. You got Third, Aden." I told him. "Third place contestants receive a package of 1500 Pokedollars and one evolution stone, random chance. You may claim your Scyther and your prize at the counter back at the reception gate." He announced. "For the record, everyone, well, namely to whomever gets 2nd and 1st, the same will go for you." He looked back at the card. "2nd place goes to...Ryan of the Orange Islands for his outrageous Pinsir! Talk about a world traveler. 2nd Place receives 3000 Pokedollars and a evolution stone, also random chance." "Well looks like Ryan beat you out...wait...a Pinsir?" I asked. "First Place goes tooooo.......Stephanie of Violet City!" "How did she beat out a Scyther and a Pinsir?" I asked. "What did she have!?" "For her energetic Caterpie!" "........what." I sweatdropped. This contest has to be rigged.
