Ninniach came back to the pride with his mate after a long absence to escape the former king. Back then, the two of them hadn't been allowed together because he didn't have purple in his coat. Lions sought his life, making it very dangerous for him to stay there. He and Hathel ran away together, and they thought they would never come back. Then they heard Bwana stepped into the role of king and sought to change things, so they returned with new hope in their hearts.

He is a kind, worry-wart of a male and a groundling in the pride.
