[Jayden smiled at her and then was glad she said they had to go inside. He was getting really tired and he needed means to do his next action. "Before we go, I have to do something," he said, smiling at her. He then kissed her on the lips. It was ephemeral and short, but it was really the first time they would do so./align]

For Newlyn, it seemed like they were no longer in the gardens, like they were no longer on Earth. Surely they had to be on a whole other planet, because she felt like gravity had been reversed and she was weightless, floating, with his lips on hers and she never wanted to come back down. She'd never kissed a boy on the lips before, and ordinarily she would be freaking out as to what to do, but it seemed completely natural to lift her hand up and place it on the side of his face, fingers in his hair while she kissed him back. The girl could have stood like that forever, lips locked on his, eyes half closed, but reality sunk in eventually. She need to breath. Newlyn pulled back slowly, unable to keep from beaming. "That was the best way to say good night. Ever." she whispered. The Hufflepuff interlaced her fingers with his and started out of the garden, still feeling like she was drifting through space.

Caitlin walked hand in hand with Sam to the Gardens. She had never been to this part of the castle. She glanced at her boyfriend, color slowly returning to her cheeks. That had to be the most embarassing thing she had ever done. Cait ran her free hand throug her hair and waited for Sam to say or do something.

Sam walked into the gardens with his girlfriend's hand in his. A lump started to form in his throat. "Cait I... well..." He turned to her and put his free arm around her, pulling her close to him. "I feel the same way." He didn't actually say the three words, but he hoped it would be enough for her. The thoughts of Remy were clouding his mind and making it difficult to be sure.

Caitlin looked at Sam, a small smile danced across her features. She hadn't smiled for a long time, it felt almost good...Maybe she'd try and smile more. "I was worried you hated me..." Cait said softly and kissed his cheek gently. She squeezed his hand gently, following him wherever he wandered.

"Yes Cait, I hate you. I hate you so much I'm going to kiss you all over," he said in a very sarcastic, teasing tone, then proceeded to kiss her cheek. He kissed her cheek, then her nose, forehead, other cheek, nose again and finally her lips. "I could never hate you. You just... surprised me."

Caitlin giggled a little when he kissed her. "I was surprised too. Well, I knew what I wrote, I was surprised I didn't pass out..." She said quietly, her face was now red from blushing at his kisses. Cait had grown, but still needed to get on her tip toes to get where she wanted to be. She pecked his nose softly, he was the first person to make her laugh in what seemed like years. "You know...I never actually got to hear you play your guitar. I've heard so much about it too."

Sam smiled when Cait blushed and kissed her forehead again. "You know, you're right.Oh, but I'm still so dreadful at it. I'll give it a shot for you." He led her to a bench and sat down, taking his guitar off his back. "Don't make fun of my singing." He tuned the guitar like his cousin taught him to and cleared his throat. Then he started singing. When he finished, he put the guitar down.

Caitlin smiled when he said he'd play for her. She listened as he played. He wasn't dreadful at all! He was a lot better than she was when she first started. When he finished, she frowned, she was going to get him back, "Sam...That was dreadful. It was so dreadful I have to kiss you all over." She said, smirking. Cait kissed his cheek, his nose, other cheek, his forehead, his nose again, then stopped at his lips. "It was bloody brilliant. Why would you say it was dreadful? I doubt anything could be dreadful while you're doing it."

Sam did something he rarely did... he blushed a light pink when she said he was brilliant and kissed him. "I... thanks babe," he said and kissed her. This was a weird sensation for Sam. He usually knew what to say and how. "I practiced that all summer after you left, you know. I wanted to impress you. Also, I missed you and it helped me to think of you."

Caitlin blushed, "I'll try to smile more...for you." She said and kissed his cheek. Her heart fluttered each time he complimented or touched her. It was pounding, but not like the way it did when the man killed her father or when she was kidnapped or when she found Grace, basically the whole summer; this kind of pounding of her heart, she kind of liked.
