Azar had been waiting for the opportunity to attack one as they came her way. Or really for that matter she was waiting for back up, low snarls emitted from her bared teeth. Her tail lashed around her. AS she found there were only two left she took her chance to attack, she launched herself forward and aimed to attack the hyena. Her jaws snapping as she did. Sadly from her position though she couldn't reach the way that she wanted to. She just wasn't quiet in the right spot.

The dust-red lion rolled his shoulders, watching the purple-marked female climb. Who was the coward here...? He then looked to the other hyena, before snarling at him. "This ends here, stink-dog!" With a ferocious roar, he jumped on a rock and then leaped at the hyena, claws out and paws stretched. Whatever they'd done, he wanted to mess this thing up.

The Firekin had essentially won the battle - but then two more burst forth. These two were burlier and more fearsome than the rest, and Roihu decided that it was time to fight. Many of the other lions were too busy holding down their captives to fend off these two in their attempts to escape, and he was the last one standing by the cliff wall who stood a chance of stopping them. So he threw himself into the tussle, slamming hard into the black female. His claws caught her flank... but she tore away. Scheherazade had escaped, and again, Roihu had failed. He attempted to chase her down, but he couldn't leave the rest of the Firekin to be caught in the flood. But there was still the male remaining back in the heat of the battle. If they could take him out, certainly there would have to be something vital revealed.
"Scheherazade!" called the hyena still trapped in Morag's grasp. Her name was Asuen Kipeys, but she wasn't likely to reveal that information to anyone - if they could even understand the thick, harsh language she would have introduced herself in. "Maexo vaiu vaev ka klo vuad'tob raerb," she said, still laughing mischievously, completely ignoring her captor as she encouraged her leader to escape. She was watching the male intensely, as if waiting for orders.

Zjarr didn't bother with words. She'd found them of little use, save perhaps as distraction. Since there was plenty of that going on already, she did away with that tactic and launched herself at the hyenas. Luck seemed with her, for she, along with the others, was able to snap, bite or claw enough to draw blood, get his attention, and force him away from the climbing one.

There was such a wicked laughter when Scheherazade managed to scale the cliff and vanish over the other sider. It practically echoed through the canyon, mingling in with the low booms of thunder and the falling rain.
Elcca winced, crawling out from a pair of rocks she'd wedged herself in to escape the crazy female's jaws - and she looked none too pleased about it. She did a quick sweep of the terrain, eyeing the little furry bodies being pressed into the water. This wouldn't do. They didn't have enough people to keep holding onto them and chase after the leader.
"I think we can assume that the leader is heading back to wherever the doctor and the others are being kept," Elcca said. She looked over the group, and finally signaled out one of the wild dogs.
"You! Answer questions! What are you doing here?"
The wild dog laughed nervously. "Hey, you got this all wrong! I didn't sign up to die for that crazy b***h! I just owed Sarakh a favor!"

Having been occupied holding down his feisty little captive, Yayuka hadn't been able to help as the others dealt with the remaining too, and frowned when he realized their apparent leader got away. Curses!
But at least they had many hostages here. He sat down on the male hyena, using his good front paw to hold him down by the throat so he couldn't bite, but also so Yayuka could free up his mouth for talking.
"If we've got this all wrong, now's your chance enlighten us!" He growled at the wild dog's reply.

Morag snarled as she gave her captive a viscious cuff upside the head, using more strength than she probably should have when you consider the hyena was more or less helpless.
"Shut up, or say something useful, b***h!" She barked at her, pressing down her claws a bit harder.
If Elcca was going to do some questioning, she'd better hurry it up. This was going to become an exercise in futility if they didn't get some answers soon.

Eld shifted on top of his prisoner, allowing the dog enough air to talk. He still pinned it down with both front paws, and if she thought of using her mouth for anything other than talking he might forget to keep his claws in. If she tried to bite him again he'd bite back.
"Give me a reason not to hurt you," he said.

Tempers were flaring, even in the chill of the rain. Kosuke watched the female hyena escape, then slowly turned back to the babbling dog. He went padding over, then bent down. "Calm yourself. If you tell us what we want to know, then you'll be fine. We'll give you a sound beating and dump you at the border, and you'll be on your merry way. Now.. Where is the doctor, where are the cubs, and who is Sarakh?"

The wild dog grumbled underneath the weight. The water was becoming to be a bit of a concern, at least for the smaller and slighter framed dog. She spat out a gulp of sandy rainwater, and scowled up at her captors. She had been right about one thing, she hadn't signed up to die to these brutes.
"Sarakh is a friend," she gritted out. "Look, we were only supposed to steal some of your medical supplies. Skall said you were the only ones likely to have it. But Sarakh he-"
She gurgled, and then snapped her teeth. "Hey, I didn't hurt anyone! Stop trying to drown me, 'ere," she grumbled. "It was just the four of us, and then Sarakh started acting crazy. He invited the others."
"Scheherazade and her friends started talking crazy and grabbing 'ostages," she grumbled. "Sarakh is just tryin to save Nini. She's very sick."

Asuen tried to shrug off her captor, yelping sharply as she was struck in the face, hot blood pouring from the wound. Her neck was also in agonizing pain, but she seemed to ignore it, her ears perking as she listened to the dog speak. The hyena didn't understand common tongue very well, and couldn't speak it at all, but she caught a few words and definitely knew the names. Sarakh, Scheherazade, Nini. She was also fumbling in the water, unable to understand what Morag was yelling at her, so she barked at the wild dog to shut up and reveal nothing more. "Dar'k tlaeuo aiu tokuokt!"

They were helping a sick friend... The lion stepped back, then took stock of the hyenas and dogs present. "If we keep shoving them down, they'll drown and be of no use. Let them up so they can talk." His eyes bore into the dog. "I have another important question for you... Were there cubs with the doctor? Either at the wards, or when you left." That was a fairly important thing to determine - It had taken to that moment for Kosuke to realize they had all jumped to the conclusion that the cubs had been with Ea that whole time. Had they been at the Wards at all to begin with? If not, had Singh and the other medics taken them elsewhere?

Azar's jaws snapped together at what the canine was saying. "why were you trying to steal the supplies in the first place?" She started at the canine, she didn't understand why is that all that they wanted seh felt like there was much more going on here. "Did some one send you here." She growled to the creature.

Zjarr was mutely surprised at having delivered the blow that stunned the hyena and knocked him down. It had been a fairly heavy blow to the temple area of his skull, so she didn't hold him down, but she did stand over him, growling softly in warning. This was her first combat situation, and she had managed to hold her own. She set aside her rising jubilation for later, and focused on the situation as a whole. When instructed to let the canines rise from the rising water, she roughly shoved the ugly grey male with a paw. "On your feet," she growled quietly, positioning herself behind him, nearly breathing down his neck. Should he choose to bolt or become violent, his life was hers.

"Grabbing hostages," Alya repeated, turning her head towards the canine that was speaking while sparing enough attention to let the hyena she was pinning up, without letting him run off. She stood close, teeth near enough to snap at his throat. The water was rising. They needed to make this fast. "What hostages? If they aren't here, then where are they?" the lioness' lip curl and she released a snarl. The weather was making this more difficult. The reasoning of helping someone injured was reasonable enough, but if there was someone in the group grabbing hostages, then they needed to be found. "Her," she questioned again, eyes narrowing. She looked from the canine speaking to the grey one beneath her as she motioned towards where the black female had rushed out, "Where did she run off to?"
