Top 1: Mazuharu
Comments: Her fresh rendition of Paramore's My Heart pleasantly surprised me. What I truly liked about her cover is that she did not settle with how the song already sounded, rather, she tuned it in a way that would fit her voice perfectly (unlike the other contestants). Her breathy vocals and subtle vibrato is definitely her asset music-wise. Props on your song choice and arrangement! Be wary of the way you pronounce words, though!
Top 2: ScarletXCrossXCrusader
Comments: Despite the poor recording quality, her voice definitely stood out from the bustle of buzzing. The smooth transition from notes is a sure plus but you can hear a slight shaking in her voice when she croons "heart attack."
There might be some inconsistencies here and there but there are more strong parts than weak. Also, it felt a bit contrived so let yourself go next time!
Top 3: xhimei
Comments: You can easily tell that these kinds of songs are not your forte and we can hear that you are not in your zone but I like that you took a risk that measured your variety and range. There are disappointing pitch issues in some parts but there are promising and magical parts. I heard the potential and your perky, jubilant voice would be better suited in an upbeat tune. Try to stick to what you know best next time.
Advice for the finalists: After hearing this round of songs, I want to make a general comment that everyone needs to let go. You can tell that they are holding back (possibly kasi nagrerecord sa bahay, nakakahiya naman di 'ba? haha) pero semi finals na ito! You need to show all you've got and bring it. Wala nang hiya-hiya! Also, be conscious if the song fits your voice: for some, don't let the cat try to be a tiger and for the rest don't let the tiger try to be a cat. Good luck, everyone!

Comments: Sa lahat ng entries, sayo yung pinaka-nagenjoy ako. Maganda yung version mo ng song. Suave sa tenga kaya pwedeng ulit-ulitin *thumbs up*
Top 2: ScarletXCrossXCrusader
Comments: Honestly, akala ko disaster yung magiging result kasi nakita ko yung song choice mo. Pero in fairness, keri mo siya at talagang nag-take ka ng risk na kantahin yung ganong klaseng song. Kahit na medyo sablay yung pagkaka-record mo, nilagay pa rin kita sa top 2 kasi maganda naman yung voice mo eh. Sana makapasok ka sa finals at kung gusto mo ng fighting chance na manalo, dapat next time maganda na yung recording.
Top 3: xhimei
Comments: Okay naman siya. Hindi ko lang ma pin-point kung ano yung pinaka flaw sa song mo pero siguro kasi parang na over-power mo yung instruments? Parang ang lakas kasi ng boses mo kesa sa tugtog (or baka vice versa, mahina masyado yung music). Lalo na nung intro. Medyo nagulat ako dun, medyo lang naman. Tsaka parang medyo may diin yung pagkakakanta mo? Kasi yung original version parang relax lang (referring sa verse 1).
Siguro next time, better song choice na lang. Actually sana makapasok ka din sa finals kasi gusto ko rin mapakinggan yung susunod mong kakantahin 3nodding
Advise for the finalists: Pili kayo ng song na enjoy ninyong kantahin kasi minsan obvious or mapapansin ng mga listeners kung nag eenjoy/comfortable yung singer sa song niya. Tsaka wag kayo matakot na mag take risk pa, or try niyo yung song na akala niyo hindi niyo kaya, malay niyo keri niyo pala diba.
Basta go lang, enjoy lang =)
