Scraggy would fall right after its 'victim' did, the little reptile drained of its life force as it toppled over, hitting the ground cold. With a scowl Sub would recall the Pokemon and give a little grunt as he stashed the ball away and dug out for another. "I really didn't want to have to use this one again as I hate leaning on a crutch but I see no other choice." With that said Sub tossed his last Dusk Ball onto the field and immediately slapped a hand on the Key Stone embedded in his Snag Machine.

As soon as the device burst open in a shadowy display of darkness the little imp which appeared from the ball would not even have a chance to hit the ground before he was encased in a mass of solid light. The 'crystal' which would quickly form around the Sableye would not linger around for long as it exploded to release a more fiendish looking imp. As the Dark type hit the ground its chest gem would leap out of its body and expand greatly, the Mega Sableye promptly holding it up to prevent it from toppling over.

"Hope you're ready for a fight, Poe, because we are way behind in this one." He warned his Pokemon, doubtful of his ability to come back from the brink of defeat..

As the Snow Warning brought about the hail Sub would pull his coat over his head even more to protect him from the falls chunks of ice. Poe would try to use his giant shield as a shield as well but once the real fighting got started it wouldn't protect him from the damaging ice shards. "Poe, time to dazzle them ourselves this time! Confuse Ray!"

With a fiendish chuckle the Sableye would point the front of its gem at the living tree and unleash from it a blinding flash of confusion inducing light.

The fierce gust of freezing wind and ice would quickly overcome the imp, said Mega Sableye disappearing into the blank of frost conjured up by the living tree. There was no avoiding such an attack under these circumstances and despite its increased in defensive prowess that attack still hurt pretty bad and yet Poe nor Sub seemed too both, or than maybe the shivering and painting Poe who just had a chunk of ice fall on his head afterwards. Damn hail.

"That seemed like it hit pretty bad, don't you think so, Abomasnow? Why don't you find out. Show him, Poe, use Pain Split!" The Dark One commanded.

With fiendish glee the Mega Sableye would lock eyes with the Abomasnow, its otherworldly gaze peering into its soul, deep inside of him. A sinister aura of red energy would surrounding them both, Poe seeming to become more and more energized the long the stare was held while Abomasnow felt like its strength was being sapped away. After all was done and said both were exhaustive but compared to how they started out before the Pain Split Poe was feeling much better and Abomasnow much worse.

Sub and Poe were both not bothered by these turn events as the Abomasnow summoned forth yet another Blizzard. Knowing good and well what the next step was Poe prepared for what he assumed the next command would be as he hid behind his gem.

"Poe, use Protect!" The Dark One ordered.

In response to the command the gem would begin to rapidly multiply, expanding in all directions until a protective crystal dome surrounded it, the fierce frozen gale of Blizzard just washing right over it. In most situations one would consider this stalling, and it was indeed stalling but there was some strategy to it.

"So you just going to keep sending frozen farts at us for the entire battle or what?" Sub said in his signature cocky tone.

As Sub heard the command his eyes went wide, the explosion of ice and bone chilling quickly consuming the battlefield before the man knew what to do. When it was all settled however Sub would see that Poe was completely fine, totally unscathed by the attack. "That was scary..." The man said with a gulp.

"But this presents us with an opportunity. Poe, Fire Punch!" The Snagem leader commanded.

Conjuring up the same blue flames it uses for its Will-O-Wisp but now engulfing his hands. The imp would rapidly scurry across the field and once near would leap towards the much bigger Pokemon and give it a one-two slug of a Fire Punch to its gut.

Upon hearing the command for an Ice Punch the Snagem leader would smile. Poe wouldn't be too pleased right now as its main means of defense was just taken from him and made him vulnerable, it was only when he heard his next command did he become more confident.

"Now Poe! Sucker Punch!" Sub called out.

With fiendish glee the Sableye would disappear in a blink of an eye, leaving the Abomasnow to swing at nothing. Before the mighty beast knew it the imp was scurrying up his chest and jumping off of him in order to deliver a Dark-energy infused uppercut to its chin. They hoped the Pain Split coupled with Fire Punch would leave it sufficiently weak to be taken out by their surprise tactics, otherwise they were still getting a punch themselves, an icy one however. Either way Poe really wanted its gem back after this.

Sub and Poe would both let out a sigh of relief when the towering behemoth went down, both of them concerned that if the Frost Tree Pokemon wasn't felled then and there that they would not be able to keep this battle up any longer. While they both wanted to celebrate they knew it was not the time, Pryce releasing the Piloswine being a painful reminder that they still had a long way to go before they could relax.

The Dark One's first reaction was relief that it was a Piloswine and not its evolved form, but at the same time he knew looks were deceiving and such a seasoned trainer like Pryce had a good reason for not evolving his Pokemon, he doubted such a gym leader as him kept it in this state simply for nostalgia purposes.

Poe had just gotten his gem back up and in hand before the Swine Pokemon had put on a display of its power, the entire gym shaking violently, the icy field underfoot cracking and sending up jagged chunks of ice from the fissures it created as the frozen landscape attempted to quickly seal up any cracks. The Mega Sableye would sway and stumble, falling on his butt just once, the oversized gem coming down and smacking it in the head. Eventually the imp would find its foot again and stand up, swaying ever so slightly and struggling a bit to hold its gem up. Poe was getting worn out, especially after that Earthquake just rattled its world.

"If the stories I've heard about you are true that is one battle hardened Piloswine you got there, looks very spry and healthy though despite its age. Poe, make it share some of its vitality, Pain Split!" Sub commanded his Pokemon.

Pryce would probably not be surprised, it was obvious to both sides that the Mega Sableye was on its last legs and if it didn't heal in some way it would be taken down with the next move. Either way just like before Poe would lock eyes with the enemy, or at least the general vicinity of where it believed the eyes were. A familiar aura of red energy would surround them both, their stamina combined and then split evenly among them both, a great gain for Poe and a very apparent loss for the completely healthy Piloswine. The imp, while still a bit exhaustive, was feeling much better after all was done and said. It was nice that Pryce had so many Pokemon with high health reserves.

Poe would let out a bit of a dramatic, almost cartoony, shriek as the Piloswine gained much bigger tusks made of ice, the imp cowering behind his massive gem shield and 'shivered'.

Sub would just roll his eyes at Poe and proceed to give him his next command. "Hold your ground and use Metal Burst!" The Dark One ordered.

Dropping the comical actions the Mega Sableye would get its self in position behind its massive gem and prepare for the incoming Piloswine as it charged towards him, Poe watching him from behind his transparent gem. The Swine Pokemon would slam into the gem with such force and power that Poe began to slid backwards across the icy field as the Piloswine pushed against his gem. As Pryce's Pokemon pushed the gem would begin to glower brighter and brighter until it gave off an explosive blast of silvery energy, Poe holding his footing this time as he dug in with his claws, and actually getting to use its gem as a shield for once.

Despite holding his ground he was left harmed by the Ice Fang, pushing back against such force would wear down anyone.
