There's this thing called Bully Group at my school. It's a group that gets together on Sunday nights and it's basically Theatre of the Oppressed, if anyone knows what that is. If you don't: It's a little difficult to explain, but it's where you tell a story about a time where you were bullied or bullied someone or when you were oppressed, etc. and then people act it out (or "workshop" it). The situation is played with and we try to find out as many ways to handle the situation as we can.
For example: Say someone shares a story where they were with friends and they saw someone else hitting another person, but they didn't do anything about it. We would take that scene, do it once without changing it, then we would start trying to find solutions for it. Like making one of the friends stand up for the person being hit or something like that.
Anyway! We had a really intense group tonight, resulting in a few people crying and one of the leaders said he would give his phone number out if anybody wanted it. He then followed that up with this, "I want everyone to have a resource and have someone to talk to. I don't necessarily want to be that person, but I can be. But I would rather not be. But I can."
SO much unnecessary background info for that little snippet.
