Well, it's pretty much all fan-related stuff for me right now, so it would depend on how familiar you are with the Saiyuki series anime/manga. Otherwise, I'm not sure how much sense it would make to you, unless you don't mind reading about characters that you don't know anything about.
But, if you were familiar with it (or didn't mind reading something unfamiliar) then I'd always love to have another reader. I actually need a beta reader in fact, I had a few typos on the last thing I posted.

I would not mind reading something I know nothing about! In one of my old favorite series, I started on the 6th book, halfway through the series. Haha.
