Julia sighed, "Please no spiders, no spiders..." She wispered as she followed them down the steps.

Lance asked a friend to drive him to the location. It was a fairly long ride, not much to do except wait for the trip to be over. During the trip his friend Robert was rather quiet. He didn't say more than a few words the whole way there. Get in the car when he had first arrived at my house to pick me up and we are here once we had arrived. After dropping me off he just started up the engine driving off. All the talk about ghosts must have scared or annoyed him in some way. Not everyone believes in ghosts after all, I however was an exception to this. I knew that ghosts were more common than most people wanted to admit. But hostile high level ghosts and poltergists were a completely different story. These type were people that still had something tieing them to this world. Something they hadn't completed in there life. I've personally seen and heard ghosts in my house. But enough about me, I'm sure you don't want to here me ramble on about myself for forever. There's the house in front of me. It is rather run down, doesn't look like anyone has lived here for quite some time. If I were to find a ghost this would be the place, ghosts rather like older houses. Lance entered the house turning the front knob in the front. There was a spider web above the handle that I almost stuck my hand into while turning the door knob. What is this, I was told that there would be more people showing up at this place. The spider webs over the front of the house should be gone by now, what a bizare house.

Julia heard the front door open. She turned and ran to it. "If i were you i would turn around and leave..." She said to the guy that had just walked in. She smiled, "This house is really haunted... and it is getting wosre... two people that came here have already dies.. at least we think... Oh and watch out where you step, the house will, how would you say it, eat you... The couch ate someone and spit them back up... and me and Ash were swallowed into the floor, I dont know what happened to Walt..." she smiled again, "but like i said, you might want to leave..."

Lance smirked at there comment about the house eating people. He knew this wasn't the work of ghosts. But rather some really bad furnature. I was told that there would be ghosts not demons possessing furniture. His grin widened as he said this to the strange and rather shaky stranger before him. I'll watch where I step though, this is an old house that is in disrepair. Wooden floors can corrode due to a number of reason. Water damage, termite damage and other things. I know about ghosts and nothing you have mentioned sounds like a ghost to me. Catching something out of the corner of your eye. Strange shadows that you can't quite place. A sudden decrease in tempature all can be signs of ghost activity.
(Just a note those signs of ghosts are actual signs that ghost hunters use to track the spirits.)

Lance stepped back when they said that.......what! Floors don't just close back up once broken. That follows the theory of possession, it makes sense in a way since you didn't mention any ghosts in this house, the house itself is possessed.

Lance looked curiously at the young girl before him. He held his chin as he spoke in a rather suspicious way. Hmmm, if this house is as frightful as you say then why is there a smile on your face? Perhaps this is all a falsehood you and possibly others are trying to play on people. Your story doesn't check out and trust me I've come prepared with all the knowledge I need about ghosts. He smirked as he stepped past the young girl that was speaking to him. Lies...nothing but lies, you can't honestly think I would believe such nonsense. Lance began to walk into the next room under an archway. It was a rather elegant room, a large red and gold rug. The gold looked almost white from dust and wear. A couch was at the far end of the room and an unlit fireplace behind it. Besides that there were two doors one on the left of the room and one on on the right. Lance turned to the girl in the other room pointing the to couch, is that the couch that ate your friend?

"No... We burned it... " She pointed to the large pile of ash. She rolled her eyes. She turned and looked at the door, it was still open, She walked over to it. As soon as she got close enough to reach out and touch it, it slam shut. She curse under her breath and walked back over to him. "The others are in another room... and i would go near rugs..." She said looking at the one sittng in the middle of the living room. "They bite..."

Lance looked at the rug rather inquisitively, "rugs that bite how exciting". He started walking backwards toward the rug as he smirked at the strange girl. So if I were to say... walk onto this rug it would try to take a bite out of me. He stopped on the rug then slammed his right foot down rather hard on the rug as he stepped on it. So if what you are saying is true then this man-eating rug definitely felt that. Or perhaps it is just a falsehood as I said and I just stepped on one of your friends. He put his right hand to his ear, I didn't here any sounds like ouch to support my theory. Nor did I feel the bite or grasp of this rug from beneath my feet, perhaps I am immune.

Serbrina shook her head. The rug started to growl loudly. "Told you... get away from that thing before it bits off your ankle... Dont mock them, and they wont attack..."

Lance jumped off of the rug quickly then turned to face it. He pointed with a confused look on his face then spoke. Did...di.....that rug just growl at me..no way are you sure this isn't some sort of elaborate trick? He said this with less confidence than before as he stares at the rug half expecting it to move.
