Meh, am I one of the few single and bitter of gaia? Reasons why single people should also rejoice on Valentine's:
1.) It's still cold and flu season, there for all this mushy business will spread "cooties".
2.) A survey has found that most start-up couples around this holiday break up on Halloween (no hurt feelings for you).
3.) There are Valentine sales going on, and you don't have to buy anything for anyone- buy something for yourself at a low price.
4.) My god, there's chocolate everywhere. You won't get this kind of chance till Easter, and then Halloween! Stock up on the seasonal types, then gloat about having them later.
5.) With the namesake in mind, those who celebrate solemnly are actually honoring St. Valentine more justly: he was barred in a cell for loving a woman (possibly a nun), and died there. This day, then is pretty grotesque.
6.) Many people around the world don't celebrate this holiday as we do today, as it hasn't been commercialized, so if you didn't do anything, you're like most the globe's population. With that in mind,
you are not alone.
