Random Number Game!! (Read 1st post for a chance at 20k!)

No regrets as far as my personal actions in the conflict are concerned, anyway- I still regret that we were never able to see eye to eye, but at least I know that I did everything that I could have possibly done to avoid it.

And that really is what's important, after all.^_^ I've come to understand that regret is the absolute worst thing in this world.

It's well worth the risk of looking a little uncool at the moment, to avoid a lifetime of wondering "What if I had...?" or "If only I had just..."

If there is something, or someone, important at risk I will do anything I can think of which might improve the situation even slightly in order to avoid those awful questions.

"Live your life so as never to have cause for regret."

I try to live by that- it was hard-won advice, and I've unfortunately had more than enough experiences to develop it and try it out.^_^

At least I can say with certainty that it works.^_~

Now... if someone could just come up with a catchy little maxim to keep me out of these situations, that'd be great. sweatdrop

But life's what happens, ne?^_^ I'll keep looking to live in ma'at, and deal with stuff as sincerely as I can when I slip up.

I just got home from work, and am just checking in briefly before taking a shower.^_^

I stopped by the grocery store on the way home today- we have a Whole Foods in the city and it's just wonderful! Everything in that store is organic, cruelty-free, or environmentally and socially responsible in some way.^_^

The first time I went inside I was absolutely floored. This is no corner market store- it's a full-blown all-out grocery store. Complete with sushi bar and a florist!^_^

It feels so good just to go there and watch all the people- bustling about, doing their part to help the environment and look out for the other species...

It feels even better to pitch in with them.^_^ I do it as much as I can- which becomes more and more frequently as my pay rate increases each year.
