Caitlin smiled and nodded, "And I'll be in the stands figuring a way to beat you in tryouts next year." She said playfully. When he asked about going outside, she nodded, "Yeah, sounds good." Caitlin said, walking beside him. She could almost feel the awkwardness in the air. She didn't know why it was awkward, but it felt like it to her.

Katrina appeared in the Seventh Floor Corridor, dragging Hufflepuff Steele Thompson and Ravenclaw Chase Henrick. She started for the portrait of the Fat Lady to wait for a Gryffindor to get Sam. However, he was standing outside the portrait with another girl. She dragged the two boys to Sam. "Sam! I need you to come with us. Me and Ariana made an awesome discovery and we need you."

Kat nodded when Sam said that he was bringing Melinda, whom she recognized from the Sorting Ceremony. "Alright then, just keep up with us," she said and turned. "We're heading to the Third Floor now! Come on!" She dragged Chase and Steele to the Grand Staircase.

The Seventh Floor corridor.... near the suits of armor... Sam picked this location was it was seldom used, and the only people that really came through here were Professors and Prefects when they were patrolling, looking for students out of bed. He waited impatiently, getting his mind around what he wanted to say to his friend and fellow housemate. He liked her, but he loved Cait. He was confused and... well, he needed to get this off his chest. Sam felt his heart hammer in his chest, overwhelming his courage. He wanted to leave, to go back to the common room and pretend this didn't have to happen. That he could be happy with Cait without getting this off his chest. But it had to happen, or Sam would not stop thinking about it. He gulped in anticipation.
