Turning around upon entering the school, Timothy led the students to the entrance to the Great Hall, watching for stragglers before he spoke next. "First of all, welcome to Hogwarts. I am glad to see all of you made it. Now, this school will be the home of your studies for the next seven years. Here there are four houses, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw. You shall be sorted into them here shortly. Now, I must stress several key things to remember about these houses. They will be the place you will live for the time you are at school. Many people in your houses will become friends or family. However, keep in mind that your behaviour reflects back onto your house. Good behavior will earn you house points, while bad behavior will lose you points. I am the head of Gryffindor house, and I assure you, any of your Heads of Houses are available to talk to you at any point. The house with the most points at the end of the year wins the House Cup, which is a high honor in the school. Now, please be patient and wait until we are ready for you to enter. I shall be back shortly to lead you in." With that, he disappeared into the hall.

Location: Antechamber Thinking: Well, sorting's about to begin. OOC: Please wait here until Timothy announces the sorting to be open.

Lin Daiyu Unsorted ** First Year ** Seer
"Honesty is being blunt, being blunt is right. Never back down from a fight, let your courage and wisdom make you right.
Lin waited with the other first years at the boathouse, before she saw someone come up to them. Lin nodded at his introduction and followed the deputy headmaster to the antechamber.
When she arrived Lin just stared in awe, so this was where she would be sorted and finally find out what house she was in. This was so exciting! She hoped she was in a cool house, hopefully she wasn't in Slytherin, she had heard all sorts of bad things about the house, Gryffindors seemed like brutes not thinkers.....Hufflepuffs were......Hufflepuffs. Seriously. What even made a Hufflepuff? Loyalty?
Pfft...
Ravenclaw would be neat, but she had heard they were uptight so...really she didn't have a clue what house she could fit in. She could be brutally honest, so maybe Gryffindor...but she liked to read and such, so....hm...
I feel uneasy you know? My inner thoughts are, "What house..." I'm in the house of Unknown I am a proud first year My puppeteer says "Free to chat with. o:" Out of character.

Jayden raised an eyebrow as the red head joined them and finally spoke up. She still didn't state her name so he hadn't a clue who she was.... still. But by now he was pretty sure he didn't give a rat's a** who she was. "Oi I know magic can be dangerous you nit wit, I'm not an idiot." He growled. "That's what makes it all the more fun." He grinned and turned his back on the redhead to look back up at the castle. He wasn't dumb. Magic could hurt, did hurt, but what would be the point of an adventure if there wasn't a little danger involved. When he'd said they probably wouldn't die if they got lost in the castle, he meant that the people within the castle were magical and would probably look for them. It wasn't worth his time to try and explain this to the snotty little girl though.
When Genevieve determined to answer the girl in just as obnoxious of a way, he grinned even wider. He liked this girl. She was hilarious. He liked how she turned the girl's bratty comment into an insult towards her. At her question to him, another chuckle left his lips. "Finding the Chamber of Secrets will be our first challenge eh?" He raised his eyebrows at her, almost challenging her to back down. "Scared yet?" The grin on his lips was that of an excited child who was probably going to get himself into a load of trouble.... the best kind of trouble though. From what he'd gathered about Gen so far, he'd have an accomplice too.
As the crowd of students began to move, following the deputy head master, Jayden made it his duty to stick near Gen. She was much to amusing to lose in a crowd of annoying first years. As they entered the antechamber, he looked up and all around him curiously. The deputy headmaster was explaining the houses and sorting and he snorted as the man walked away. "I agree by the way. I dunno how a stupid hat can determine the future of our next seven years. Its a hat for God's sake."

"Sketch the trees and the daffodils"
♫Ayla Stone♫ First-year, Unsorted
"Catch the breeze and the winter chills"
Looking sheepish, Ayla hurried into the corridor, glad to have made a lucky escape from her previous situation, although she was still annoyed and a little upset. Hopefully the sorting would go better....but even that thought made her feel a little nervous. There had been a lot of people heading towards the castle after all and her father her explained the sorting to her...she would have to put on a hat, in front of all of those people. Ayla had been told abot the houses Gryffindor Hufflepuff Ravenclaw and Slytherin, and she hadn't a clue which one she'd be put in. Gryffindors were supposed to be brave, Hufflepuffs loyal, Ravenclaws clever, and Slytherins ambitious. Although she had no clue which house was best or which one she'd fit into, she found she didn't care. As long as she fitted in okay, she should be fine right?

![User Image](https://i853.photobucket.com/albums/ab91/slokil/flippedcropStefDawsonYoung_zps1ff8b80d.jpg) Oh you should've stayed home. You should've known better!
Wendy Madeline Chaisty [UNSORTED] Wand: Hazel and Merpeople Scales, Inflexible, Decorated Shaft, 9 1/2 inches in length Blood: Pure. Currently: a 1st Year Wearing: Plain Black Uniform
Joined by: Mira Mitchell, Genevieve Le Feuvre, Henry Jace Isles Jr.
----------------------------------------------------------- Wendy began to chuckle when Genevieve said the word 'envy'. She seriously doubted Genevieve or anyone else had anything worth envying. She was an Avery technically, even if it was only a member of the branch family. She had almost everything she wanted at her disposal and she didn't care about silly fantasies or goofing around or exploring some castle. When Mira, the blonde from the boat spoke up trying to play both fields-first by saying not to let her statement bother them and then telling her that she had a point. Yet before much more could say the Deputy Headmaster appeared and escorted them to the castle and she followed him with a toss of her hair into the castle of Hogwarts and its antechamber and smiled half amused as Jayden and Genevive continued chatting happily.
When the first years were stopped in the antechamber she listened as the Deputy Headmaster, who so happened to be the Head of Gryffindor house, spoke a bit on the very basic concepts of the house system of Hogwarts. She wasn't impressed. After the speech ended she spotted Mira nearby and said, "I don't particularly care for people who try to make everyone happy by telling two different things to different people to suit their needs of being liked. It is sort of sad."
"Either agree on a side or don't bother saying anything," Wendy added, narrowing her blue eyes at the blonde. Maybe she judged Mira's actions more like something Cathaline League would do just because Mira did happen to have similar enough coloring to her Hufflepuff second cousin-they both had blonde hair of some sort and brown colored eyes. "I don't need someone to approve of my points or not and I could care less if what I said bothered mere strangers or not. I only spoke the truth."
You thought you were gonna throw it back in my face, but tell me how do my leftovers taste!
