As Jamie stepped back away from Ezra, prancing awkwardly on his sore, burned foot, he knew he'd made a mistake. Hell, he knew he'd made one before even going through with it. Even if he wasn't used to magic in projectile form (or otherwise), he was starting to realize he'd need to get creative to save himself the grief. Except that's when Shiloh showed up and that's when Jamie stopped worrying about it for a hot second.
Shiloh! Jamie said in their mind, already stretching into the connection like they'd been apart for so much longer than this. It felt good and he felt undeniably relieved that Shiloh was here and, more importantly, unharmed.
"There you are," his voice was soft and affectionate as he left Shiloh work on his foot. I love you, too... Don't worry, I've got this.
It was actually Shiloh he took inspiration from next. Though Jamie had no flower powers of his own save a crown—as far as he knew, at least—this was Other Ashdown and he could do anything if he put his mind to it. Materializing rose thorns in his mind, he sent them hurtling at Ezra.

Nasir laid hands on Ezra, who was on fire. This had predictable results with regards to the fact that Ezra was on fire, and Nasir was, um, now also on fire. So... yeah. It was difficult for Nasir to tell if the pain and smugness that he now felt was his own emotions or Ezra's, stolen, but... Fire. Yeah.
Chester's knife struck home, but all it seemed to do was strip Ezra of a little more of his human guise. America's pillows didn't even get a chance to strike before they were incinerated by more of the flames bursting free from Ezra's human suit. Alexis's mirror shard shattered from the heat that boiled forth, and Erin's wind glyph was consumed and only seemed to empower the raging flames that raced back towards her. Lily's snowball saved her from Ezra's flame-on-ness, and opened a path for Jamie's rose-thorns to pierce Ezra's skin.
Leila felt that blip again. Not anything worth writing home about, really.
[the next GM post will come later today at 10am PDT]
Erin spent more time trying to put herself out (to no avail) than actually trying to cast magic.
As it was, her glyphs didn't seem to be doing very much...
She tried once again, simply just throwing a very angry ball of magic at Erza's crotch, because she might as well try a different tactic after all.
This was going swimmingly.

It would have been fine if they were on fire. (Well, no, it wouldn't be fine, but it would be better than this, anything would be better than this - because Nasir was on ******** fire.) The heat boiled up their arm, singing their shirt, their arm an angry angry red, but it didn't matter, not the flame licking at their skin and clothing, because Nasir was, still, on ******** fire.
(Okay. Alexis was a little on fire, too. But it seemed less relevant at the moment.)
Alexis wailed, like an animal, and threw themself at Ezra-and-Nasir's connected arms. you can't hurt him you can't hurt him you CAN'T
"Nasir!" His boyfriend darted for Ezra and grabbed hold, just for Alexis to toss their body between them. Wil rushed in, arms looping around Nasir's waist and tugging him back again so he could once more smother his flames.
"Not sure what you thought would happen.." The blonde said with distress as he smothered the fire all over the other. "You're just going to hurt yourself that way.."

"I could give you a bit of an adrenaline rush, love.." Alg muttered to Jeremiah. "We could always try and restrain him but I'm not sure how well it would go.." It didn't seem like anyone's powers besides offensive were doing much of anything.
Alg watched Nasir leap in, then Alexis follow, and as Wil dragged his boyfriend away Alg could only watch Alexis continue to attack regardless of the flames.
He admired the determination but they weren't going to last long burning up like that. A hand was waved in Alexis' direction and stifled out some of their flames.
The girl was right, Chester's magic was 'damn cool'. He could afford the briefest of admiring expressions, even when the knives were cast off as failures it was still incredible in his eyes.
Speaking of cool, when Preacher lit back up like a birthday candle Kaleb was right there to pull the flames off again. This time he tried to chill the magic slightly as it reached for the fire, giving it the texture and feel of soothing relief where it made contact with skin. He was nowhere near skilled enough to do any real healing, but maybe it would help something...
Shun didn't like how Ezra was just standing there in the middle of all of this. It was like he was just waiting, in a way. Which, quite frankly, could very well be the case.
He hissed sharply as the flames caught him once more. As he recoiled back, he saw Nasir run up to the Burning Man. He had no idea what it was he was doing though.
Gritting his teeth through the pain, he looked around. There were still a lot of shards of glass on the ground. Running over towards one decent sized chunk, he scooped it up, then flung it towards Ezra's back.
Leila summoned some pins for herself and Eve: they both stuck their fingers, and Eve made her thumb and forefinger slick with blood.
"Okay love, count of three..."
On three, Eve pinched the candle flame and Leila shook a drop of blood into the water.

Why was EVERYTHING STILL ON FIRE. Cass had uninvited herself from the punching party on request, but it seemed she was one of few who were in that position, the young woman still moving about to try and extinguish what flames she could. Noticing that a certain young person she'd seen extinguished earlier was still kind of ON FIRE, she reached out again, pulling the flames towards herself again - and wincing again when the flames burned her hand.
She just didn't have quite the right touch for it, but at least Erin wasn't burning as much anymore.

"Got'cha." Shiloh sounded fairly cocksure, all things considered. Jamie was at the fore front of his mind, keeping him steady and focused, their headspace intertwined. Shiloh didn't have any doubts; he was magic after all. "Just direct your magic through me, okay?"
Shiloh waited for any indication of a surge--the flame licking out, the blood dripping into the water--and his mind's eye painted a picture with his magic; of the Burning Man split apart, of Ezra Fitzpatrick freed and unlocked, of two entities similar but so very seperate. The flames would leave his body. Unlock one door. Close another.

"Wouldn't say no," Jeremiah replied, his hand flicking once more towards America and drawing the fire away from her right as it was about to return. His hand closed up, the fire extinguishing. What would Taym do if her hair caught fire? It just wouldn't do.
He honestly was not expecting to see Nasir, of all people, going running in but- That actually looked rather painful to see the young man flare up with fire.
"I pushed myself with moving that many people," he said in a low voice, "and he got all three regardless." The set in his shoulders said he wanted to act but did not. All this fire was meaningless to him, just something he could control and not be hurt by.
It was less shocking this time, a thing to be expected and the reliability of Jeremiah having their backs with his magic on hand. With a grateful look, America reaches once more for her magic and this time only her magic. A thing string turns into a thick ribbon. She reaches further, and the ribbon of power becomes a rope.
It circles Ezra and loops upon itself and around him again and again until a knot is formed that merges on itself. She focuses on his fire and suppressing it.

She grinned at the two of them before gingerly picking up the knife Chester had made. Maybe she wasn't cut out for throwing knives, but damn she sure was going to try.

"Detective!" Temperance yelled out. "Can you try not to set yourself on fire so often?" There was a splash as she upended a pitcher of water over his arm.
