- RUN: You take -5 collateral damage on the way out, but manage to flee as the turret continues to fire.

Nat decided that while she found the display offered by Hunter-Killer in poor taste, they would participate in this human hunt for the glory of War.

Bare feet took to the wilds and their nose wrinkled in displeasure when they took in the heavy rain. Perhaps the Amazon would have been a better choice.

Ah, well it didn't matter, they had chosen and they would continue on.

As they went about their travels, red eyes sharp, flicking to and fro for any humans to bring back, they spotted the building and a - what was that?

Squinting, Nat decided it was decidedly not human and backed away, taking a graze to the arm on their way out.

- RUN: Good call, wouldn't want to accidentally attack another horseman.

A creature lumbered out of the vegetation and Nat tensed, eyeing the creature in case it shifted. Could it be another horseman? No, it was standing on two legs, it must have been an overly hairy human they intended to capture.

Ring daggers were drawn and they slid in close, striking with precision.

The hairy human went down with their next strike but claws - wait did humans have claws? - struck Nat on the way down. With a grunt, they drew the hairy things body over their shoulder and trudged back to the portal.

Perhaps it was the town she had stumbled upon again after getting (totally not) lost from before, either the case Siggy was pleased in the least she she hadn't somehow circled back towards the ship. But that didn't mean this building didn't make any more sense than the ship, that she could understand with the environment and the feeble human 'innovations' that always found themselves in ruins.

This was the sort of building, if she remembered correctly, were used by humans to relieve them of their digestive systems. Why there was a lone building for such a thing in such a place where they were sure to freeze to death was very odd (didn't they attach these to other buildings?)

But fruitful, apparently, with a lone human through one of the doors.

Upon trudging back out on a hunt for a less hairy human, Nat came across a base that made them snarl. Picking up an old phone had red eyes narrowing suspiciously before they chucked the thing and moved on.

Continuing about their way, they managed to find what appeared to be a nest of humans in strangely close quarters. The smell was repugnant, but there were captives to capture!

They seemed upset that they could not discern if Nat was male or female and began to chatter aggressively.

The first one to get close to them, with an aggressive intent they surmised, received a punch to the face. That clearly did not sit well with said human as they cursed at Nat and waved their arms in angered response.

The smell of the room had the war pony feeling a little dizzy, head spinning with what they thought might be some form of headache as the human began shouting obscenities at them.

"Get the ******** outta here ya freakshow!" He shouted at them and received a palm to the face in response. Not the most effective but got him out of their face.

It became very clear why they kept this building separate. The smell, she found, was very pungent and a little overwhelming. Though, she did her best to push past it, to complete her task and strike at the unknowing human.

There was the sound of something flushing and for a moment Nat was thrown off guard as a putrid smell filled the small space. Despite their attempts to shove the human against the wall, they missed, or maybe the human moved, they couldn't tell, and they staggered into the wall instead.

There was hope that it was simply the stench of the small building that was throwing her off as much as she felt she was - it had been a while since she had battled after all but going against an unarmed human shouldn't have been as difficult as it was turning out to be.

Zosma entered late (as usual), her hands smoothing through her bangs in an attempt to not look so bedraggled, but she spotted Signy and slunk to the back as Hunter-Killer spoke.

When there was promise of blessings and spoils, however... Zosma perked up slightly, moving towards the portal behind a few others that had darted ahead, glancing between them before finally deciding on one that looked lush and inviting.

When she stepped through, she found that it was humid and a bit wet, and that there was an abandoned hunter base in front of her.

Curious, she moved forward as she held her raven-skull necklace, wings folding behind her as she glanced through the place thoroughly.

The entire place seemed to have been razed, and a feeling of sadness welled up inside of her as her usual grin faded, leaving a cold look on her face, making her seem almost angry.

Of course, her stoic face made her look like something was troubling her, but inwardly Zosma was breathing and calming herself, knowing that anger was not the way to win this battle.

Shaking her head, Zosma paused as she glanced to something shiny on the ground, bending over to pick it up and scrape a bit of dirt from it.

What was this contraption? It looked like some sort of communications device.

Too bad it was dead.

Shrugging and pocketing it, she moved forward.

Leaving the abandoned hunter base, Zosma wandered for a long time until she saw a very large fortress, glancing up to it with wide eyes.

There were humans (or what looked to be humans, anyway) here, and they were shouting something that Zosma couldn't make out.

Projectiles were flung at her as she blinked, and it took her a few moments to realize that they were firing at her. She could already see that there were too many of them, so she turned and fled as fast as she could, using her wings to propel her forward, gaining an arrow in one.

Hissing, she jerked it close to her body as she managed to get away with only minor damage, finding a safe place to sit down so she could rip the arrow out of her wing as cleanly as she could.

Idly, she wished Signy was here. It wouldn't have been so bad had she had the company... but she'd arrived late, and avoided mingling just to avoid that disappointment.

Oh well...
