The pup jumped again, wings spread and flapped at hard as he could. Stumbling up onto the rock, claws scraping, Zefal managed to keep his balance with his wings out to steady him. "Heh, I made it!" He grinned his milky white puppy smile and his tail wagged furiously.
Vera wandered over to the lake and punched a hole in the thin ice with her paw, lapping the cold melt water at the edge of the thickening ice spreading out over the lake. She sneezed twice and then walked back over the stony beach, ears and eyes attentive to the new surroundings.
Zefal sat next to Selly and curled his tail around his paws to keep them warm. He sniffed the air and sneezed once, not expecting the icy chill to be so bad. He let his face relax and watch the opposite shore seriously, trying to imitate the big black wolf next to him.

Sel looked at Zefal and laughed, "Watcha looking at?" he asked him has he sat up on the rock and looked around sniffing the air curiously before turning his head to face backwards, Seeing a small group of hairs playing in the snow.
"Hmm..." He pondered for a short period before he yawned once more. Looking back towards Vera, and Zefal both, "I see your not used to the cold... It gets really cold here in winter, and almost always a nice cool breeze in the summer." He said randomly, "But of course I spend alot of my time upbtop the mountain... So that is to be expected." He laughed.

"I was, um... I saw stuff?" he finished lamely, he didn't want to say "because I was copying you". Then Zefal's eyes got wide and he turned to look at Selly. "Mountain?" He'd never been on a real mountain before, just some big hills and he'd seen some cool caves before, but they'd never been far enough north to see mountains. "I bet I'll like the cold though, my fur will keep me warm and the snow looks fun to play in!" His tail thumped the rock in a quick rhythm and he watched the bunnies with interest and wondered how soft they would feel.
Vera wrinkled her nose from the cold chill and trotted over to the base of a red pine to curl into a ball on the cushioning needles. She tucked her nose into the tip of her tail that she'd wrapped around her body. Her wings folded carefully, she used them to warm her. She turned slightly so that she could still see both of the wolves on top of the rock and simply watched the clouds floating by overhead. Zef certainly was enjoying himself in this new territory but she wasn't so sure she liked the cold much.

Selleinis laughed at Zefal, "Well its a really long walk to the top, Tiring too." He told him has he looked around once more and jumped off the rock onto the rocky shore, to get himself a drink of water, The cold Not boring him one bit.
After getting his drink of water, He sowly step onto the ice, near the shore where it was thickest and slowly slide around the ice, very carefully knowing it wasn't think ice. "Quiet much?" he simply said looking at Vera.

Vera pinned her ears back to herr head, surly tempered in the cold. "I'm not much enjoying your climate," she frowned. The she-wolf's wings were even shivering sadly enough. "How do you put up with this terrible freezing feeling like you don't ever want to wake up, just huddle in a warm spot?"
Zefal hopped down too, a little sad to get off of the big rock, but not wanted to be left out of anything. Her trotted over to nudg Vera with his nose. "You complain too much, sis!" He laughed a little chuckle and then bounded off after Selly. He skidded to a stop just before the lake and put one cautious paw on the hard, freezing cold ground. "Is this water?" He tried licking the ice and his tongue stuck to the surface, he pulled a bit and it came off, but his tongue felt a little numb... sad

"I Lived in this kind of climate all my life, You get used to it." Simply put by sel, "which is why its always a good Idea to keep on moving." He told her has he slipped around on the thin ice pushing his luck more and more, "A shivering body is the first sign, telling you to get moving, go for a run, walk, anything." He said with a sneeze when powered snow flew into his nose The ice bending under the weight of his massive body. "well Ofcourse, Until you start sweating. then you risk the chance of Hyper-thermia, which is bad." He noded an slowly slide away being sure to get away form the bending ice, He knew to much what he was doing. and was pretty sure Zefal wasn't heavy enough to break the ice but wasn't sure so he made sure to keep a close eye on him.
Sel laughed seeing Zefal, "Mhm, its what happens when the weather falls below Zero Degree Celsius. Colder it gets, harder and thicker the water becaums." he told him, "And... don't do that to any Metal Object when there cold. Its much worse then sticking your tongue on Ice." He said with a small laugh.

Zefal's ears pinned back on his head and a look of horror flashed in his eyes. He'd be sure not to just lick any old thing from now on.
He was curious and took a hesitant step out onto the ice, testing it and then putting his weight on it. It held and a huge grin lit his face then he bounded straight out onto the ice, sort of hopping and gliding with his wings out so he slid further.
"Woah! This is sooooooooo cool! ...Oof!" He face-planted onto the ice as he overbalanced on a jump, the pup's rump sticking up in the air as he splayed out on the ice.
Vera stuck her tongue out at the big male when he wasn't looking then slowly and reluctantly stood up from her warm spot. She spotted Zef out of the ice and sort of worried, but thought he was having enough fun and it looked safe. As he plopped down face first she sprinted forward in alarm, but stopped at the ice's edge, worry creasing her brow. Then he was laughing. She shook her head slowly.
"Wahahahaha! That was awesome!" He pushed himself up and his tail wagged furiously. It sort of hurt, cuz the ice was hard, but the cold made it feel better even if he'd probably get a bruise later. He tried to stand and slipped around a little bit, the ice was kinda wet where he was standing and he saw little cracks forming by the place he'd crashed. "Ooh..."

[xD Fails, Why didn't I ever reply to this? Well here's a new Unrelated post.]
Lloyd had been wandering around since the early hours. His long hair tied in a pony tail, His shirt Messy and his legs Hurting from the lack of rest they Received. His Ipod headphone cord hanging out from his backpack and his headset around his neck, Listening to Old iron maiden. The sky above was darkening, because of both nighttime and light rain clouds above. His left hand in his jeans left pocket while his right hand held on top his backpack left shoulder strap.
Has he Arrived at the Lagoon after a long walk following the Ocean side. He jumped up on the rocky shores and walked along until he near the center of the lagoon, Where he stood his arms out into the air, Stretching an letting out a long drawn out yawn. The wind blew through his hair, strong enough to blow his ponytail up and around and send waves of water crashing along the rocky lagoon.
"Ah, What an Uneventful day." He said out loud has he dropped down on a rock and pulled out his rifle checking his scope, and then setting it down on his lap in case any game beast came by.
Seeming has if he was a Hunter, His gun on his lap and not being able to tell if other wolves where around since he never did in tune his Wolf side with his Human, Lloyd laid down on the rock, His hand behind his head and his eyes closed, Letting the Occasional rain drop hit his face and the splashes from the Ocean fall on his self.
"I wonder...." he mumbled and then sighed, "No plans for tomorrow again.... Maybe I'll head over to the mountains Get a view of the land." He said to himself.

Vera alighted in the trees when she saw the glint of water up ahead. She lept down branch by branch and then folded her crimson wings gingerly. She was bored and at this point worrying massively for Zefal. She wasn't able to find her little brother so she'd already been to the cliff to see if she could spot him from that height. Having failed there she was looking for places he may have gone off to play. She'd heard there was a lagoon within the pack's boundaries and decided this was as good a place as any to look.
She wound her way through the trees and stopped when she reached the rocky waterline. She bent quick for a drink under the deep shade of overhanging trees. She coughed and spat out the salty water. Her ears folded back on her head and she sauntered on along the water's edge, keeping in the shadows warily.
She glanced around cautiously and sniffed the air, catching the scent of human and growled quietly. She scanned the rocks and eventually her ruby gaze fell of the man seated with a rifle across his lap off to her left and around the lagoon. She padded closer as silently as possible, curious.

Hearing foot steps nearby Lloyd sat up holding his gun in his hand. Looking around for a second thinking he might eat decent food tonight he spotted the fem wolf, A winged wolf. This was definitely a first for him has he pulled up his rifle up to his eye and looked into the scope to get a better look. She was a strange one, Her red eye's shined brightly into the scope has he passed over them. He zoomed out a bit seeing more of her body.
"This is a truly unique animal." He though out loud has he took a quick glimpse of her out of his scope, and into the forest around before back at the scope.
He had No intention to shoot her of course, but holding his gun up, pointing at her made it seem much different. The wind blowing his pony tail to the side of his face over his left shoulder.

Vera's eyes met his and for that breif moment she was scared stiff as he raised his gun. All of her instincts were shreiking at her to run but her feet were planted firmly, shock keeping her body rigid.
A whine passed her lips and then she snapped out of it. She barked and her eyes blazed, she lept into the trees and spread her great, feathered wings to get her into the branches and out of sight.
She had no idea that the man was intrigued by her but the rifle that had been pointed square in her path definitely painted a different picture. She cowered in the branches of the sycamore she'd alighted in.
Vera whimpered and thought of Zef all alone, she needed to keep herself safe for him as well. No heroics, no bravery for her. They may have lived for many more years together than any other brother and sister could stand but that didn't make them immune to the hunter's bullets that teared through flesh and shattered bone.

See her fly out into the tree branches he realized he had scared her. Not his intention at all. He looked for her through the tree's Not a hard target to find, Standing up he lowered his gun and sighed has he jumped down the rocks and landed on solid ground near where she was before.
"Hey, wait!" he yelled out at her Hoping she would understand him. His back pack had been on his back for so long it had became part of his body.
"I'm not here to hurt you." he said out loud shyly. He hadn't spoken to anybody, Human or animal alike in a long time. Long enough that those few simple words caused him to flush lightly.
Looking around at the Area once more he put his rifle back on top of his backpack, and reached into his pocket pulling out surefire flashlight he kept charged with his solar panel. He didn't use it, but rather threw it up into the air a couple of feet and grabbed it before it hit the ground. he repeated this continuously has he kept an eye on the winged wolf into the tree's. The light from the flash light turning on and off once in a while when he grabbed it.

Her ears flattened to her head and Vera just stopped herself from yipping in astonishment as the man waited below. She growled low and balanced herself on the branch precariously, turning so that she'd have a better view of him. Her fear kept her from taking flight again and the trees made it practically impossible. In fact her only way out would be to run back out of the trees and fly into the open to gain height fast enough to escape his rifle, if shooting her was what he still intended.
She peered down at him, though apparently he still didn't know exactly where he was, she could see him clearly enough. The she-wolf's claws held onto the bark as she leaned to listen. He said he didn't want to harm her... But when did she start trusting humans?
She snarled and landed on the ground with a small thud when her paws met the earth. Hackles rose along the she-wolf's back and she bristled, teeth bared at the man in hiking gear. She watched his strange lighted stick twirl in the air and took a step back, misinterpretting its purposes.
"They promised there would be no humans in this pack's territory!" she growled severely. "Who are you to disturb our peace?"
Vera was surprised by the conviction and steadiness of her own voice while her heartbeat pounded in her ears and fear again froze her limbs as she confronted the human.

Great he though to himself, He didn't understand wolf, let alone speak it. His only tongue was Human English. He sighed thinking he was now endanger, and he was not about to pull out his gun, Not after last time and considering if she was to attack he would have to be inhumanly fast to pull it out and c**k the rifle. Hearing her thud when she landed on the ground sent chills into his spine, He couldn't make noises if his life depended on it in his wolf form, He spent very little time in it. He stopped throwing his light into the air seeing has how she seemed afraid of it and held it open against his self, then his hand and slowly brought it up to in front of her, Not letting the light touch her.
"I don- on't under stand wolf," He said nervously running his hand in front of the light "It for dark places and nights. It makes it seem has day" He said wandering if she even understood him or just making himself seem like a moron.

Her jaw just went slack and hung open as she stared up at the human who was not quite afraid of her. Obviously he wouldn't understand her. She growled at herself quietly and then she slowly edged forward to sniff the strange stick he held out. She made a noise and then stepped back, watching him closely with a sceptic look.
Vera huffed a sigh then sat down, wings folding on her back. She appeared relaxed but the distance she kept betwwen them was evident that she didn't trust him. She barked once and tossed her head up proudly, her eyes narrowing to ruby slits.
This object was not a weapon as far as she percieved and he hadn't reached for his rifle so she was pretty sure he didn't want to harm her. She ruffled her feathers restlessly and glanced over her shoulder. The forest was thick and not a likely escape route so he stood in the way of her only path out. A slight chill ran down her spine as she thought again of Zefal and hoped he was having a better time than she was on his own.
