sasuke created a fire in his hands. "looks like i'll be useful afterall." he made the fire larger and placed his hands right next to mobius. "you're not dying so easily....."

"P-p-p-p-lease... L-l-l-l-let m-m-m-me b-b-be..." His eyes were slowly closing, fluttering as they went. He exhaled a breath and fainted. His heart was still going, louder than ever, and he stopped breathing regardless of whether his body needed it or not.

His heart started to beat less, and his skin was returning to it's deathly white pallor.

Night looked darkly at Mobius who was laying on the ground and breathing weakly. She walked to him and wrapped Vasily's spare coat around his shoulders carefully. As she did, Night sent him a message trough her mind.
So you took it...you thought that the Nexus stone from the north would make you stronger. It would have done so but your heart is too warm. You can still feel love, hate, sadness and joy...Lauren couldn't do half of those. The stone's power is at its peak when people who are cold as ice use it. The more you feel, the more it hurts you.

sasuke eyes turned red as she sent the message to him. "nexus stone......" he said quietly. "i wonder if....." he oulled out a stone from his pocket with one hand, keeping the other near mobius to keep him warm. he looked at the stone. "could it be......"

He woke up, still quite groggy. He was at peak condition... For a vampire, anyway. He only spoke one word in his fatigue;
"Why?"

Shore kneeled next to Night, "I have a fire going," she said quietly, staring between her, Sasuke, and Mobius. Her cheeks were flushed a bit from the chill. Even though she was wearing a shirt and jeans, the snow didn't seem to bother her at all. "I'm Shore, by the way," she said as a side note.

He simply repeated, "Why?" A hurt look was in his eyes, and he was on the brink of tears.

He slowly started to choke up, a small, wavering whimper filling the air as tears threatened to fall... He did not sit up. He had not the energy, the mood, or the whim to. His body heaved with his sorrow, and shivered slightly from the molten snow which covered it.

Shore looked down and gently whipped his tears away. She didn't really know what was going on, but she wanted desperatly to make his tears fall. She was feeling a little choked up too. "There there..." she murmured.

He rolled over, hiding his face from the world in the mud. He deserved it, and her comfort only made him feel worse...
Elsewhere, the Holy Statue of Nythera shattered, throwing a gnomish village which had settled around and worshipped it into chaos.

Shore frowned slightly, gently tugging on his shirt hem. "..Come on now, you shoudl get closer to the fire.." She bit her lip, seriously worrying for the vampire.
