Salem lifted his head slowly from his paws. He yawned wakeing up.
"Another night at the lagoon....*Sigh*"

Salem stretched then walked to the edge water. He looked around as memories of his friends flashed threw his mind. He laughed softly and shook his head knowing everyone but he and Lock had left. He wanted to stay with her no matter what. He sighed softly and stared down into the water

Lock moved with a swift paw upon the soil driven grass to Salem.

She laid down and started to lick her fragil paws and legs with silence.

Salem smiled down at her. He sat next to Lock then bent and licked her ear. His eyes filled with love when he saw his mate.

Lock did not smile her heartfelt smile like before but... she wore a dimming and worried.

"You were thinking.... of some thing of before... I could feel it."

Lock moved her head upwards toward Salem.

"What?"

Salem stared into Locks eyes then stared up at teh sky. "Its nothing.....just quiet now. All the wolves who once called this home have left, yet we remained... At times i wonder...." He sighed and stopped. He didn't even know what he was trying to say, other than it was quiet out compared to the normal activity of the other wolves.

"What do you wonder....?" her foce graceful and hard to ignore.

"Tell me.."

Salem sighed then stared down at Lock, his eyes held sadness
"At times i wonder y WE didn't leave with the otheres. Why we chose to stay here. I love you Lock, more then the world, but its hard for me to go back to it just being 2 wolves.....I lived alone with Lukas for so long...that to come and find so many wolves...I was shocked, now its back to how I once was, with only 1 compainion." A few tears fell as he remembered the past he lived, from start to here.


Slowly a small brown female wolf walked into the clearing, her light blue eyes shineing. She smiled seeing a male wolf, she decided to sneek up on the wolf and suprise him. (She didn't see Lock)

Lock licked the tears from his face with a comfortaing and angel like hum.

"Hush now.... some one is near..." she sang with a silent note.
