This never seemed to end well. Not when he was asked to come at someone else. But, he made his attempt all the same. Except, it wasn't for a rush and punch, kick, or what have you. He tried for a shoulder charge, trying to move the chi to that instead of his fists. However, it didn't work out too well, and the chi that did get there wasn't much.

Somehow, he had a feeling this might hurt a bit.

While I commend Aden for trying what I was suggesting right from the get go, rather he succeeded or not, I actually had something else in mind. I gave a quick leap over Aden's head, then made a quick turn with a quick charge of a one-handed Ice Beam, firing it right for Aden's back. He was probably about to eat sand in the next second.

Ryan watched this unfold and flinched. hard. He wasn't the one on the receiving end, but even he felt that one!

If Ryan thought it was bad seeing it, feeling it was a different issue altogether. Aden looked up as Blizzard leaped above, but he didn't have a chance when it came to what followed. Taking the spine-chilling attack, he found himself promptly falling forward and into the sand.

"Didth..." He rose his head to spit out some of the sand. "Did you get the license plate of the Miltank that just rolled over me?" He asked, shivering as he tried to get the chill back out of himself in a hurry.

"Basically, long story short, Aden, is that I am wanting you to give more than one use to your attacks, at least to your Psychic attack for the time being. What I am trying to get here, oh sure...you got yourself a mean set of celestial brass knuckles or greaves when in use, but...well, you still need to mix it up a bit. You don't have to go out of your way to leap over people's heads but do something along the lines of small psychic bursts, pushes, things of that nature to trip someone up. Throw them off kilter, gain or maintain a upper hand, and so on. Even so much as to get someone off of you if things get a little dicey." I said.

Ryan just sat there, listening to Blizz. He knew all of this. It had been the same thing his father had taught him many years ago. It was just nice to hear it all over, to help keep it fresh in his mind.

"I kinda had that feeling... if not now, then later, and if not later, then dad or sis would probably drill it through my head just as much." Aden said. "Though, with the attacks I've got... hm." Suddenly, he was getting ideas.

"Well for now, one thing at a time. Since you apparently can actually use Psychic with one hand at least, I want you to start with that before you bother trying to do some crazy stuff with your other abilities. First things first though. I then checked the stability of the log. It was still stuck in the hole, rather firm, despite the beating Aden gave it. "Alright...I want you to try to at least knock this thing over with a Psychic burst." I said. "You already got part of the formula to using Psychic as is, when you do what you do. Now you got to expend it. Basically, this is to give you more control over what you can do."

"A burst... so, let out the chi itself?" He said, thinking. It sounded plausible enough, though that did sound odder. He was already used to having it in conjunction with some sort of attack. Not by itself.

The closest thing that came to mind was throwing a punch at the air, only no punch would be involved at all. Air, though... he thought he might have some sort of idea. "Alright." If he was going to do anything to that log, though, he'd have to put a lot into it.

For now, he was going to see if he was even close on having the right idea. He focused the celestial chi still around, trying to force it out of his body entirely. Let it get into the air, gather near the log and all... from there, he thought, he might be able to emulate the attack he'd normally deliver. He let the chi give its own force, striking the log of its own accord as he wondered about the results.

The log would barely budge from that. I crossed my arms and thought for a moment. I didn't have a Psychic attack other than Extrasensory, and even then, that one wasn't exactly going to help me in this. And I didn't have a Pokemon with Psychic. Not even Golduck had that attack on hand to use. Maybe...

"Aden, does your sister know Psychic?" I asked.

"Not the way you're thinking." Aden answered. "Her way of using it's more like telekinesis or whatever she calls it. Though, she's been self-teaching herself when it comes to chi. I think I might still have this." If nothing else, he though, he might be on the right track.

Well so much for that. Still though, he apparently has an idea. "Well show me then." I said, looking towards the log.

"Already planned on it." This time, Aden stepped back. He also started working Calm Mind into it, unlike the last attempt. He wanted to get as much chi as he could, and amplify that as well.

He could feel that chi leaving him almost as soon as he started, only for it to well up in the air between him and the log. To him, it was almost like a line. Maybe if he focused on manipulating that, he'd have some progress, he thought. He still didn't throw any sort of attack, testing the line of chi. Sure enough, it seemed like it'd retract, growing more concentrated.

He figured this was crude at best, but it was his best shot. He reared back as if he was about to do something, but nothing came of it until he forced the chi to condense into a single spot against the log. With the force from it, maybe it'd have some benefit.

I sensed a slight chi spike coming from him. If I hadn't known better, he had to cheat it a little by using Calm Mind. Which I suppose I could let him go in doing for a moment, but he's going to have to eventually try to do it without it at one point or another. Still though, progress was made. The log shifted a bit. The packed down sand started to jar loose a bit. It probably needed another good push before it came down.

"Yeah, definitely crude.." He mused. It pushed some, which was good. As for the objective, though, he wasn't quite there. Maybe he was going about it wrong. While it was done differently, a push was a push. He thought for a moment, wondering if instead of a simple push, it should be more befitting of that burst.

The only thing he could think of was going back to the original idea. No lines or anything like that, but have it condensed in that one spot ahead of time and let it go out all at once. It might still offer the force he was needing. He still let Calm Mind amplify things, though even he could figure it wasn't quite what was wanted.

As the gathered and amplified chi left him once again, it came at the log itself, wrapping around the front of it. "How about... this?" He could feel it well up there, condensing, tightening like a spring. Instead of forcing anything like before, this time he let the charge go off by itself. Let the tension seek immediate relief, all of it culminating in a burst that threatened to do something about that log.
