She gave him a tiny smile, even though he probably couldn't see it. "Life is short, especially for humans. I want my life to be LIVED, not wasted. Don't you agree..life is too precious." She gave him another little nudge.

He hung limply in Sasuke's arms, not bothering to look or speak to anyone. He actually started to slip out of Sasuke's grip a bit, and started to slide towards the ground again...

"No reason to die, no reason to live! I've lost the woman I loved to time and impatience, my zeal for fighting is on the decline, and our adventure has come to a grinding halt! Everything I enjoyed about life is dead or dying, why shouldn't I follow suit!?!" He was practically barking the words at Sasuke, a tone of desperation and confusion seeping into his words. Tears continued down his face. "ANSWER ME!!!"

sasuke tossed him into the air and punched him. "SHUT UP! YOU'RE LIFE IS NOT MEANINGLESS! AND YOU'RE ADVENTURE IS NOT OVER! NOT UNTIL THE LAST OF OUR BREATHS HAVE CEASED!"

He coughed up a bit of blood, and gave a dry, derisive cackle. The sun had just come up. He began to stagger out of the shade of the forest, cackling the whole way. It was quite clear his depression gave way to delirium and mania.

Night looked bluntly after Mobius before sighing heavily and suddenly disappearing. She reappeared on in front of him and put both of her hands on his shoulders.
All hope is not lost.

He laughed insanely. "Hope is not lost, but nor is it found! To find it, one must go farthest away from it, when it is truly lost! HeheheheheHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" He turned into a puff of smoke and raced towards the edge of the forest. "The only hope lies in death! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" It was quite clear that Mobius, for the first time, was a few soldiers short of an army...

"Vasily, we must pursue him before he does something stupid. He doesen't seem right...Shore, Sasuke, I don't think you two can help. We've known him longer ", Night said and took off after Mobius, occasionally disappearing and reappearing few yards further. She had a grim look on her face, a frown that hid her worry for a friend well.

sasuke appeared in front of mobius. "DEATH IS NE?VER THE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!" he said blocking his path.

he didnt bother to say anything but just grabbed his rifle where it was leaning against a nearby tree and ran after her quickly picking up speed. he didnt bother to teleport as she did but rather run straight through the forest at an almost dizzying speed dodging fallen trees and boulders lagging just a little behind night but always keeping her in his sight. he wasnt quite sure what had happened to mobius over the past few weeks but it seemed he had slowly been progressing deeper and deeper into insanity. it kind of reminded him of a common condition called shellshock that he had seen in many soldiers on the front line. their mind simply could not deal with the carnage and destruction any longer and they either went mad or simply shut down. and at that point there simply is no hope or any chance of recovery...the only thing left is......he pushed the thought out of his mind as he clutched his rifle tighter and ran a little faster.
