Darksol88 "When it comes to it." Aden answered. "He knows how to fight just fine, with or without it. I think he just likes having the extra option." "Hmm." I thought for a moment, then shook my head. "I suppose. Anyways, now for the main course. Like I mentioned earlier, it would be a bigger benefit to you if you can get chi to go where you need it to go. I noticed that you were trying to put it to your shoulder earlier. Well, try that now. No pressure or anything."

Aden figured it was better not to keep on that subject either. At least keep out any other reasons for Sol to later take a fist to the face again.
"Yeah... right. Should be a little easier now, come to think of it." He said. Given he could move the chi out of him with some sureness, he figured doing what he tried before would be a little more successful.
He didn't bother to try and work an attack into the mix this time, focusing some of the chi he had into his right shoulder. Sure enough, he found it easier to pull off, or that he was at least able to keep it there.

And I could sense it too. I gave a nod of approval. "What you are doing is similar to what I have been doing with water chi that Luke taught me. You remember, from the Hyda region. That said, while what I do with Water Chi is more defensive, yours is more offensive." I said to him. "Now try it on that same arm, but on your elbow this time."

"You're using it like a wall, while I use it to get more force?" Aden asked, figuring that was the case. Still, he doubted things would be too hard there; he was able to get the chi re-routed fairly easily. He was getting the hang of it faster than he thought, but it was mostly moving chi from one area to another. He wasn't sure just how much force would actually be there just yet.

"Now try your other arm. Your shoulder first." I said. I had to get him bending this stuff to his whim effectively.

"Alright..." Still not too hard. A couple seconds of delay, and the chi would find its way to his other shoulder. Then, for good measure, he went ahead and moved it to the elbow on that same arm.

Now to screw with Aden a bit. "Alright then. How about use Psychic on your right shoulder, and on your left elbow, at the same time." I said.

"Uh..." Okay, that was a little different. Both fists? Sure. Both legs? Nothing. Two different parts? Not so much. But maybe it wasn't too difficult. To start, he managed the chi into both of his fists, to give himself a basis for this one time. That chi would soon move upward, his left side gradually stopping at his elbow and the other at his shoulder.
Before anything else could be said, he let that chi go, and worked to do things a little better. It wasn't long before the chi was back at both places, this time without the whole coursing.

Good." I said. "Of course, this is to get you adept in trying to get the chi where you need it. It's going to need to come second nature to you, if anything. Now finally, the knees." I said.

"Somehow, I don't think I'll find many moments where I'd have to hit something with my knee." Aden commented. Though, he got the chi to both knees just fine.

"Speaks the one who tries to be prepared for just about anything." I said. Hypocrite much? "Alright how about left knee and the right shoulder."

A little bit easier, though the matter of up and down almost threw him off for a second. At least he did pull it off. "Maybe, but you don't see me randomly carrying a plunger in the off chance of a clog or something." He probably wasn't doing himself any favors, what with that umbrella he had back at the Pokemon Center.

If Aden could pull this, I'd get to the next part of the lesson.

A little tricky, to be sure. Thankfully, it wasn't too bad. Getting the right knee and left shoulder was quick enough, and it wasn't much longer at all before the right elbow was involved too. "...There."

I said, going back over towards the tree. This thing's job was not done yet. I righted it back up and took a few minutes to pack sand down at its base and once again reinforced it with Ice, courtesy of my Ice Beam. I then got behind the tree, just to make sure this thing stayed up against the punishment that it was about to received. "Alright Aden. With the general idea of manipulating the Celestial Chi where you need it, time to put it to work. I am going to get you to start attacking this. You attack how I tell you, where I tell you. I may get a little rapid-fire with the commands, but considering in a fight, things will get hectic? Yea. Granted this is just a tree, but we're just working on getting you worked to move chi on the fly." I said. "Make it almost instinctual, as it were. You clear on that?"
