@Orielle: Wow, that sounds like a really expensive vacation. How are you able to afford all that?
Lol, you're welcome. o3o
Yes, I'm going to the mall for a school trip tomorrow. xD I see it is pointless evaluating how nutritious the restaurants are in the food court. ._.

Iaruk: I finished your drawing, hope you like it. smile Thank you Kuramika, but I'm in the middle of exams right now, and I'll be away from my computer all summer, so I can't accept any more freebies or trades right now.. sweatdrop Jewel: I've been working almost full-time in addition to my studies this term, so I've saved up enough money. 3nodding The plane tickets are pretty expensive, but other than that I think you can live very cheap in South America as long as you don't mind low standards. whee I finished the wip I posted on the page before this, so if anyone wants to take a look it is here. smile

Sweet gezz, Orielle, you never cease to amaze me! The drawing has the feeling of a sun-drenched face, looking at a field of flowers before him. This drawing is not exactly as detailed as some of your work, but it more than makes up for it with an original style.
It reminds me of a game called Ico. Here are some screenshots:

The game had sun-drenched graphics, giving the game an odd sense of being in a dream. It's also one of my most favorite games ever, so...

I'm glad you like it Iaruk! Thanks, Patrick! Haven't really heard of that game before though.. I submitted a new tutorial to the guild and DA, here it is if you want to take a look: It was a fairly quick tutorial, but I think it shows a little of how I work, and how I paint skin. smile

Wow, I've never seen someone draw old people before.
I love the details. All the wrinkles and little flaws in the skin are amazingly well done.
You never cease to shock me with what you can do with your skills, my dear Orielle. XP

Orielle Jewel: I've been working almost full-time in addition to my studies this term, so I've saved up enough money. 3nodding The plane tickets are pretty expensive, but other than that I think you can live very cheap in South America as long as you don't mind low standards. whee
What pretty pieces! <3
Lol, I'm not that type of nature and cultural person. I can't stand living in somewhere extremely hot without air conditioner and all. I'm so spoiled. XD;;
But there is a trip to Costa Rica for next year in my school where only 20 people in the whole school can go. The whole package is amazing and the cost is only $3000 plus fundraising. You get to help the less fortunate and enjoy hot springs and etc for two whole weeks! I'm disappointed I can't go. Then again I'm afraid to ask my parents because it's always no and they want me to focus on my studies. If I told them I want to work for my own fare like my friend is doing, they would completely freak out on me how work would take away my studying time. >>; And I don't even study!

I fav'd "warning sign". You are truly amazing. I don't have any cool items or avatars, but I'd be thrilled if you'd art trade with me. All my avatars are found on the first page of my thread, but maybe you'd prefer to draw me? If you sent me a picture of you, it'd be more of an even exchange and I'd attempt my graphite again? sweatdrop It's still not as good as yours x_x

Thank you, Patrick! xd heart
Jewel: I just love anywhere that's different from here.. whee That trip sounds awesome! I just spent three months writing a project on ecotourism and its' effect on the local population (got an A biggrin ) so I'm really looking forward to going down there and seeing everything in real life. Everyone I've talked to who has been there said the nature was stunning and the people absolutely lovely.. smile We will probably stay with the family of a friend of a friend just outside San José, so it will be cool to see how they live as well.
Thank you Stars! I'd love to trade with you, I really like your drawings, and I appreciate the one you made for me, but I am leaving for South America the day after tomorrow and I will be gone for two months.. Ask me again after the summer, and I'd be more than happy to. smile

You are such a busy person! Traveling here and there! How did you get into these programs? Is this for a university/college or something different altogether?

I tried drawing wrinkles in art class before, and it ended up looking like some guy had cuts all over his cheeks and face. >_<
Anyway, school is finished. I'll try and get both chapters for your story done over the summer, but I just got Metal Gear Solid: Essential Collections, so it really might be hard. razz
