His words made her smile turn shy, her head duck in embarrassment. The blush on his face surely matched her own, her her head remaining ducked slightly to hide the shy look in her eyes.

The soft words and nuzzling sensation made her look up again, his laugh making her smile perk back up. His intense stare made her tremble slightly, her head tilting slightly as she comprehended his words. Did that mean that he wanted to spend more time with her, in the seasons to come? That he would not leave her as so many others had in the past? Pushing such thoughts aside, the young female shifted closer to the beast beside her, her voice drifting out, almost quiet.

"You think I'll give you happy memories...?"

Why did that thought make her insides feel odd? The female did not know, and for the moment, she was content to remain as is, rather than questioning herself further. Questioning, she had learned, tended to ruin a good thing, rather than enhancing it.

And at this point, she wanted things to remain good. Warm, happy, like she was.

Eiwen closed his eyes, and wagged the tip of his tail. 'Fond memories, gentle reminiscings, pleasant things to remember about these cold nights...' His paws felt a little chil so he pulled them into his chest to warm them. The air seemed to have taken on a frostier sense he thought as he lay his head against Abbie's soft ruff.

A cold wet sensation on the tip of his nose made him open one eye as the snowflake melted and dripped down his muzzle. Both of his eyes opened in wonder and he lifted his head to the starry sky. White powder drifted down from the heavy clouds gathering overhead. The moon's bright face was frosted by he falling jewels.

Eiwen smiled gaily and turned to Abbie. 'Look! It's the first snow!' He got up from her side and danced in the flying powder as the sparkling flakes collected on his thick coat. He looked down at Abbie and pranced over to her, then crouched down, touching his nose to her own. 'Come play!' He licked up a fallen snowflake that landed on her nose and smiled lightheartedly.

The words of Eiwen made her close her eyes, a soft smile lighting her usually blank features. It appeared that the beast had grown quite fond of her, a fact that she found she quite enjoyed. Snuggling closer to him, she blinked, the feeling of something on her face making her blink stupidly. Crossing her eyes to see what it was, she found a white blur across her nose. Sneezing and shaking her head made it go away.

Snow…? She blinked, tilting her head to watch Eiwen move about in a happy mannerism. When he licked her nose she stood, trying not to look too foolish as she watched him. Play? Her head tilted slightly, a frown marring her features.

“How does one… play?”

Head tilted, the females eyes shifted from Eiwen, to the newcomer into their quiet area. A shift backwards was made, her muscles shifting slightly as she surveyed the newcomer. Not wishing to be rude, or cold, she did not turn away, unsure if this was a new being to the pack, or if this one had more pull than she herself did as yet. Ahbuusiv was, as usual, uncertain.

That said, she was still going to respond. Having been ignored enough times in the past, she knew that a response was preferable to being ignored time and time again.

"Hello..."

*He calculates the rection of one female of the pack tense at his arrival. He calmly walks in front of her and sits down*
Hello, there is no need to be tense. I am mearly the newest member of the pack.
*The male twitchs his head slightly and the cold breeze lifts*

Blinking, Ahbuusiv resists the urge to growl. This male had just invaded her personal space. Refusing to be rude, for she had experienced the sharper end of that particular attitude, she flicked her ears forward, her eyes bright, wary. This being was one she did not know, and what she did not know, she did not trust.

"Welcome, then, I suppose."

Perhaps a little bit less welcoming that she could have been, but Ahbuusiv had never been the outgoing sort right from the start, and this was, in all senses of the word, the start.

Her gaze drifted about, her eyes clouded slightly. Where had Eiwen gone off to?

Serenity trotted aimlessly through the dense forest. She laid down for a while to rest, panting heavily. Although this forest had abundance of prey, they always found a way to escape from her. Still lying down, she felt her stomach growl from hunger. She was just a lone wolf. She couldn't catch prey as a pack could. Even though she could transform into her human form, she still chose not too.

A glance about caught sight of yet another being in the forest. Ahbuusiv inhaled slowly, her nostrils flaring slightly as her gaze shifted from one beast to another. The new one appeared somewhat gaunt, as though she had not eaten in a few days, or as though the food she had eaten had not been sufficient for her size. A brief flash of concern etches across the facials of Abbie, her tail twitching slightly. Though it was not her concern, the thought of another's belly growling as hers had on occasion stirred a lick of warmth towards the stranger.

A soft shuffle of welcome escaped her mouth.

As it did, her stomach growled. She too was hungry, it appeared.

Lifting her muzzle towards the sky, Serenity caught the scent of another wolf nearby. Fur bristling, she rose to her feet slowly, glaring into the wolf's eyes. A soft growl escaped her throat, as she stood her ground. The distance between them was a few feet, and Serenity could not hear the greeting. Tail stiffening, she continued her reaction towards the strange wolf. Although she did not like fights, she was not about to let down her guard.

Head tilted slightly, the female glanced at the other before her, her silver gaze shining slightly. The growl that came forth was not unexpected, but a little harsh on her already frayed nerves. Ahbuusiv was tired, worn out, and not in the mood to spend an hour or two convincing another that she was not out to rip some throats. That had never been her particular style of greeting, though she'd met those with such tastes, and would probably never be her typical reaction to a new face. Instead, she simply sat and watched calmly as the other growled a bit, and showed that she was not going to back off. That was fine - Ahbuusiv had done the same only a short time ago. She knew; she understood the feeling.

...Hello. I'm not going to attack you.

She stayed where she was, perfectly aware that the other was not comfortable at this time, and that moving forward would be like being aggressive. And Abbie was not intending to be aggressive.

Noticing the wolf's reaction towards hers, allowed Serenity to calm down just a bit. The thoughts of attacking were slowly dimishing as her glare changed into a gaze. Lifting a paw, she begun to approach cautiously, lowering her head as she did so. The female's words soften Serenity's thoughts when she spoke. Stopping in mid-step, she responded. "Hello.." She said softly, lifting her head slightly. Her ears lowered, she was sorry for growling earlier.

Ahbuusiv tilted her head, her tail wagging slightly as the other stepped towards her. No sudden moves were made, of course, she did not wish to frighten the other, or startle her. Her ears flicked forth, then back, her head righting itself as the other spoke, the soft word almost... apologetic, perhaps? Or maybe she was being hopeful. Probably the latter, considering her personality.

" My name is Ahbuusiv... might I ask what yours is?

Funny how it was her being greeted, not too long ago, and now she was the one doing the greeting. Strange, even.

((Sorry for my late post..><))

"M-my name is Serenity." She answered, stammering a bit. A small wolf smile appeared upon her lips. Tail wagging slowly, Serenity assumed this wolf was friendly. There was no need to be cautious anymore. "Sorry for growling at you earlier." She spoke, yet soft again, while noticing there were other wolves near the female. Chilly winds embraced Serenity, gliding it's way through her midnight-black fur as she stood, making her shiver a little.

Ahbuusiv titled her head, blinking once. Serenity. What a lovely name! Having scarcely heard the words before, she had never once encountered another wolf with such a name. Though then again, she had never met another Abbie to date. Perhaps these lands were filled with unusual names... an interesting concept to explore, should she find the time to simply sit and mull things over. Her lips twitched into a doggie smile at that. Time? Who had the time, these days?

Abbie was dragged from further thoughts by the sudden, and unexpected apology. Glancing at Serenity, she noticed the other wolf shiver a little, and frowned. It wasn't too cold out - the other needed to eat, probably, and regain some fat. Abbie knew that when a wolf, especially a female, got thin they tended to freeze to death, and that would be entirely unwelcome, in this instance. Perhaps later, there could be a hunt of some sort? Abbie found herself salivating at the thought, for she's been alone long enough that food other than a simply hare or grouse had been nigh-impossible to find.

"No need to apologize. I understand entirely, for I am new here myself, and not yet comfortable in these surroundings. Are you new as well, or simply returning?"

Head tilting at a purely curious angle, Abbie watched the other, her silver eyes sparkling slightly. This place was strange... but the wolves here interested her.
