B.D.O. is not a patch on HOMEBAKE.
In other news, Japan Punk Group GUITARWOLF will tour Oz later this year.

Big Day Out is so much better than Homebake. It's more diverse. International acts and Australian acts together, it's better because of that diversity.
Guitar Wolf I believe has shows booked in Brisbane in the next few weeks. I'd see them if I could. 3nodding

But the crowds at Homebake are a bit more responsible, a lot less moshing with Elbows out. Have no idea why this is though. also think homebake is a bit better value for money.

Another reason BDO is better - It's not only in Sydney, hence I can go with a considerably smaller expense.
Also, Homebake doesn't have Mars Volta xp
Garrgh. I just went to vote in the Hottest 100... but then I realised that there were more than 10 good songs last year sad Ahh decisions, decisions.

I can't remember what I voted for, I'll try and recall of the top of my head.
Doesn't Remind Me - Audioslave Phoenix - Butterfly Effect The Car Song - Cat Empire Four Kicks - Kings Of Leon Do-Do's And Whoa-Oh's - Kisschasy The Widow - Mars Volta Ray - Millencolin All The Young Fascists - Shihad Shot In The Head - Shihad Question! - System Of A Down
Woo, I just checked my confirmation email. Good selection.

I voted for:
Get Fly - Atmosphere Drunk On Election Night - Dan Kelly & The Alpha Males Hurricane - Faker Middle Of Nowhere - Hot Hot Heat King Of The Rodeo - Kings Of Leon L'Via L'Viaquez - Mars Volta The Widow - Mars Volta Gabrielle - Ween Hounds Of Love - Futureheads Computer Camp Love - Datarock
The Computer Camp Love vote was more of a tactical thing... Because I figure it will be fairly up there, and I just one someone to beat Bernard bloody Fanning to the top spot.
It was so hard deciding sad I had to leave alot of worthy people out.

I tried to get a good diversity in my artist selection. I mean, I only voted for Shihad twice because they're awesome. >_>
But hey, Mars Volta and Kings of Leon gor votes from us. 3nodding

Hmm, what do you think is going to be the best act at the BDO? Don't play favourites here, but honestly, who do you think will be the most entertaining? Franz will be pretty fun, I think Shihad are always with the showmanship, not sure about teh Volta but I'm sure they'd be pretty awesome. Now, that's just a few, but then again, I think they'll all be pretty good.

Well... I just don't know.
The Volta, are known for putting on pretty spectacular shows. Cedric dances like his pants are on fire or something.
Iggy and the Stooges maybe? Just because they're old and funny looking and have been around forever, so they must be doing something right, eh?
Henry Rollins - I want to hear his stories dammit!
The Go! Team - Well, there's 6 of them, it's gotta be some level of uber awesome going on. Plus they have a harmonica.
Shihad will be fun 3nodding
Sonicanimation have those guys in weird suits... which are pretty cool to.
Franz Will put on a good show. Too bad they're on at the same time as The Volta gonk
Everyone will be good somehow... If they're crap they'll get stuff thrown at them.

If I was going I would head straight to Iggy Pop. I saw him live a couple of years ago and I thought he was going to do himself a near fatal injury on stage he was that frenetic. Besides, he will probably be dead long before anyone else performing. He has lived an INTERESTING life.

xd Hahahahaha that's what everyone says.
"We'd better go see Iggy Pop because he'll probably die soon."
Who knows. Maybe he'll still be going when he's 100.

From the main BDO line up, Iggy Pop would be one of the only acts I want to see.
