Gundam ACAM: The Protectors [Re-opened, New Rule change]

"Yeah you did you old coot." Kamon smirked, and saw the circuit board John was holding. "I'm sure the board can wait till after what I have to say." He took a deep breath, some of this wasn't going to be easy to say. "First off, I'm sorry for what I did earlier, it won't happen again. You all know what I've been going through, but that is no excuse for abandoning everyone. From now on I'll be right by your sides. Second, I'm going to rebuild Arashi, only this time I'm going to reconfigure it to work with some of the CAS parts, and I'm going to take Zero's computer and put it into Arashi when it's done."

"Why're we talking about age now?" Adalwulf muttered, letting Nick go at last. "Good to hear that. But, building another Arashi's going to take some time." He brought up his desktop on his laptop, running the programs he needed to make it work properly, another fail safe.

"Arashi may be complex, but no more so than Zero. The challenge is going to be getting a couple of Zero's CAS parts to work with it. I was thinking Raikou's wings and thrusters, as well as Yaiba's solid sword." Kamon looked up at John, thinking for a moment. "Maybe even some anti-matter weaponry as a last resort."

Nick had on a curious face when Kamon was saying it would be hard to configure the certain parts to Arashi. Nick laughed a bit embaressed. "Hehe, well not sooo hard. I kinda...still have a copy of Darkwing's AI in a file on a computer in my room. What we could do is put the AI into either Arashi or the CAS."

Chris awoke suddenly and saw numbers flash across the screen. Then he had control and he got off the table he had been rebuilt on. He jumpped off the table and looked around at the many engineers standing around taking diagnostics. "So how'm I running people?"

"Good, sir. All areas check out as green." The technician looked up at him.

"Very good, now where is Dure?" Chris' new body was now more slender and less square. It gave him a more human look as he stepped up some stairs escorted by gaurds to Dure.

Demyan did a quick eye-scan to see if he'd fixed Sasha's box properly. He thought it looked fine, but a little testing wouldn't hurt, just to find the kinks in the rewired system. After calling out to one of the crewmen on the floor below, both his suit and a dummy one were raised up into the testing area by motorized platforms. They both launched into a mock battle with enthusiasm, with Demyan making a mental list of what he needed to improve, aiming to perfect it for another try at John.

"It's not that that would be hard, remember Arashi isn't a big suit, and Zero's parts are made for a bigger suit." Kamon looked up at the ceiling for a moment before continuing. "The problem would be getting the parts to connect to the frame, without limiting the movement. But I'm only going to get certain parts to work, such as Raikou's wings, and the docks for the sabers off of Yaiba."

((What part of "I work nights" did you guys miss? I only can get on for a few minutes on my break! xd Just be patient until I get back. Hounding me when I'm not here isn't going to make the shift end faster. )) John raised his eyebrows. "You called all of us in here to tell us what you're doing with your mobile suit? You couldn't just mention it in passing while we were in the hangar? John scoffed and began twisting something lose from the board. After the tiniest metallic sound, it snapped loose and John examined it closely. Marie picked up the rag he'd dropped and draped it across his face. "Pick up after yourself, love."

"Minister Duré," he corrected again. "I have been right here in the war room, awaiting your return, my child. Is there something you would like to tell me?" As he spoke, the old man checked a PDA at the end of a chain in his pocket. From a distance, it looked like a pocketwatch. Another operation of his was ahead of schedule, freeing up some precious resources and manpower. This was good.

((And I especially don't wanna hear any lip from you, Mr. Leave-without-a-word-so-we-are-all-left-waiting-and-wondering-if-we-should-keep-waiting-or-just-go-ahead...man. xd ))

"Jooohn." Adalwulf said, sounding like a mother hen. "Some things should be said in person." Then he went back to typing, fingers darting across the keys in a blur. The rejection from that "Church's" mainframe didn't actually unnerve him, it had just piqued his curiosity. Not many systems, or people, were able to do that.

"Well in any case now that we have everyone here we have a more important topic to discuss. The Church of Final Atonement." Nick got up. and sat next to Kamon. "We already know that it employs some of the most skilled fighters we've faced before, defiantly better pilots then Backdraft used to be." Nick thought for a moment. "Not to mention the fact that Chris is on their side...Yes i know old topic but remember this: He has seen the schematics for each and everyone of our suits. Add the issue of his size and you've got a very efficient weapon against us. Also Demyan is with them as well and we all remember how durable his suit is." Nick got up. "All in all we have the first large task as The Protectors. Any ideas of how to fight back?"

"Yes Minister Dure. It's about what I was going to tell you before I deactivated. I have found a major weakness." Chris had bowed once he was in front of him and stood up. "Now as you have seen their skill is undeniable but ask yourself why are they so strong? What makes them so undeniable?" Chris used a computer showing a video of the battle. He rewound it to a moment when Chris was fighting Byrd and Koza and paused it when Marie intervened. "It is their unity. Their strength lies in their ability to function as a single undeniable sqaudron. They watch each others backs, they communicate with each other, and they move together. Though they are capable of fighting on their own from what i've seen..." Chris fast forwarded to the part where Kamon get's his arm cut off and pauses it. "They aren't unbeatable alone and with enough men we could even beat one. I beat Kamon by myself. A few more hits and he would have been dead. Only because of their unity did they survive." Chris shut off the video. "Together they survive, divided they shall fall."

" 'Still can't believe that b*****d isn't dead yet." Adalwulf muttered, scanning through the few bits of information he'd been able to gather. "Must have a new suit, though. I don't think Chris was able to get a few of the suit blueprints. Maybe Kamon, Byrd, Koza, and yours, but not mine, Marie's, and John's. I think..."

A loud thunking noise followed by a ground-shaking thump signaled that the next to last of the dummy suits was out of commission for a while. They'd be easy to repair of course, Demyan had tried to go slow with them. He took his hands away from the controls to tamper with Sasha's box while the surrounding crews rushed over to inspect it. I should add a drill...but then that would not be the best thing to learn to fight with., he thought, blinking at the sparks the portable welder threw off.

"Impossible," Marie said in response. "He may be slick, but he never left my sight while he was here. He knows nothing about Mercy, Vendetta, or any of the Modus Operandi models. And he'd have no reason to look into Adal's suit...so I doubt that he has readouts for it."

"Even still he still has an immense knowladge of how a gundam funtions and your suits, though they're anti-gundam, still incorperate gundam robotic technology right? I mean from what Kamon's told me, he built a suit by himself from the ground up. But since we're on the topic of Chris, I believe that a few things should be clarified." Nick went over to Adal's computer and took it. He set it down and brought up the video feeds from Ater Mico and Zero Fire. "Now watch my cameras for a sec." Then out of nowhere a small suit appears infront of the cameras with a sword. Nick paused it. "Thats not just a mini suit thats being remotely controlled. That is Chris himself. He has made himself a completely robotic body. He is a gundam you could say. Also Demyan." Nick went to Vendetta and showed the pictures of the three suits that attacked John. "The middle suit here is Demyan. He was also supposed to be dead. The reason why their alive can only be the Church. So any ideas on how to stop them?"
