Uhhm, my name is LeineLiebe, I've been on Gaia since 2008, so I'm somewhat ancient (Though I did stop a few months in and only recently came back.)

I'm...somwhat[?] an artist. Though I mainly do digital illustrations(where my art style differs with each piece), I also dabble in traditional drawing.

...Though lately I've mainly been draw abs, when it comes to trad.Art. dramallama gaia_diamond

I've been on gaia since 2007/2009, so I guess I'm pretty old. I do draw a bit; I've been getting into pixel art for the past week and I've been practicing with new styles and looking at various tutorials to better understand the process/color/proportions/etc.

I work at Taco Bell just for something to do over the summer before I go back to college, so I guess that's another thing.

OH, I'm a major fan of robots and loads of hurt/comfort/fluff, tell about all the robots that I can become friends with! 4laugh

Hi, folks! I'm Prite (or "omgeodude" or "mainlyterrestrial" depending on where I'm lurking). I turned 27 last month and I live in the US. I currently have a job proofreading college textbooks, and I generally stop in to Gaia a few times every 3-5 years to draw a series of pictures before petering out (I never met many folks I could chat with so it's too easy to drift off if something diverting occurs).

I like a lot of things very earnestly and don't know how to talk if it's not at great length! I'll... try not to do that... so much. Unless you guys enjoy that kind of thing. whee

Can I offer my sincere thanks for the invite? This seems like such a chill little community. One of the things that often urges me away from Gaia is that, while there are occasionally people who are kind and good to talk to, the forums at large are kind of... uh... baaaad, maybe? Populated by mean little gremlin-people, perhaps? And a small community that recruits more members seems more likely to be a kind place than the entire unchecked Gaian population.

I'm currently following my dream of being a comic book artist/author. I love drawing and painting, both traditionally and digitally. I also enjoy making cosplay accessories like ears, tails, horns...etc.

That was my thinking when I started the guild mostly. A lot of gaia can be a bit mean haha, so I thought a smaller portion of the site might be easier to moderate. So far everything has been pretty smooth in here. I think when you have the chance to get to know people a little better, maybe you're more reluctant to be a total jerk-off. Hahaha.

I go on hiatus a lot too. Real life has a way of occupying all your time razz

I like it! It's a challenge. I really enjoy drawing, and animation actually is not a lot of drawing haha so I'd prefer to switch departments. But learning to make things move has been a good growth experience.

I've always been interested in animation, but I thought there would be a ton of drawing involved so I didn't pursue it. I'm surprised that you say there isn't. What department would you rather work in?

I've always been interested in animation, but I thought there would be a ton of drawing involved so I didn't pursue it. I'm surprised that you say there isn't. What department would you rather work in?

Right now I'm aiming for storyboards. A lot more putting the pen down.

Animation is all digital now, so it's a lot more like moving a puppet around the screen than drawing. Each scene usually has a couple of things to draw, like new hand shapes or whatever, but you sketch that out and then cleaning it up is dragging vector lines around a screen, soooo.... All in all nowadays animation is more about having a sense of timing.

Welcome! I was recently thinking of taking on some sort of hitting people class. It has come to my attention that if somebody wanted to hit me, I'd basically just be at their mercy. My best combat skill is tickling people. I hope if anyone attacks me they happen to be ticklish. Welcome to the guild!
