Neither group decided to surrender, just as Hazuko expected. Their forces moved to continue battle, and though the Loyalist forces focused on Orb defense forces, the Ghosts focused on the Uzumi Nara. "They have made their choice. Deploy Valiants, and launch missiles 7-12 at the concentrated forces." Within the anti-beam field, the gottfireds and Lohengrins would be rendered ineffective. The ship would be using missiles, valiant fire and CIWS to cover itself. In this age however, the ships carried a far more deadly tool; mobile suits, and the Uzumi's Gundams finished equipment exchange. "Open catapult and launch the Gundams!" As the Valiant cannons unfolded from their cover and the catapult opened like the maw of a great beast, missiles launched from the Uzumi, speeding towards the enemy. The detonated a fair distance away, and explosive charges spread out like a swarm racing towards the enemy carrier and mobile suits.

Some of which were successful, and he was promoted to Commander by the end of the second war. He was selected as the Orb military's first choice to captain the Fujin, and he recommended his long-time crewmember Ryuu Taiki to transfer onto the ship as well. With Haru's experience, the recommendation was accepted.
Unlike his subordinate, Haru is a very serious and strict military commander. While he knows about the cost of war, he also believes war is sometimes a necessary evil. He holds a dislike for the Earth Alliance and ZAFT after each invasion on the Orb homeland. He also smokes often and has an occasional drink for celebrations. With his knowledge of the previous major gundam projects, he was the biggest supporter and influence on Project H(inode), and remained paranoid all the way to the launch ceremony. Appearance:

While he waited, Ryuu went over the specs for the machines, locating an emergency equipment box inside the cockpit complete with pilot suit. He switched into it just in time for a clearance signal to flash across the screen, and the Gundam moving. As he clamped the pilot visor down, the unit was placed onto the catapult stand. The door was still closed so he checked the status of the unit. He only received one weapon, the beam rifle, and a shield attached to the left forearm. He didn't have the time to check the specifics, but because it looked strikingly similar to the Freedom of the first valentine war, he could guess its capability.
The catapult airlock opened, revealing open space. While he didn't want to, Ryuu had orders to pilot the Gundam so he'd keep to his orders. He clutched the controls, hands shaking slightly. He threw his mind away from the thoughts of the past to focus, and he received the green for launch. "Gundam Atama. Launching!" The Catapult speed him forward before the mobile suit lifted off the stand and hit the magnetic field of the linear catapult. While they were some distance away still, Ryuu could see the enemy suits and carriers. Realizing he was up against the Ghosts, Ryuu's panic subsided, and was replaced with a sense of vengeance.
Name: Ryuu Taiki (23) Genetic Type: Coordinator Rank: Lieutenant Position: Uzumi Nara XO Background & Personality: Ryuu was an orphan at the age of 7, and since his parents customized his appearance , he wasn't adopted for a few years. As a Coordinator, he was advanced in schooling, but was ridiculed by natural children and their parents who condoned coordinators. He joined the military of Orb sometime after the events of Bloody Valentine in fear of Orb's inclusion as the war dragged on. While he was acceptable as an Astray pilot, his suit was destroyed on the first day of fighting and he choose to become a crewmen instead. Serving with a man named Hazuko, he was able to survive the first and second Bloody Valentine wars. He gained the rank of Lieutenant with Hazuko's personal request for him to be his XO on the Uzumi Nara.
Ryuu believes deeply in Orb's motto, but also thinks if someone has the ability to help others, they should whether it involves them or not. With the shock of his experience, he gets shaky when piloting a mobile suit. He also holds a grudge against Blue Cosmos for his parent's death. He often listens to music to calm himself down, or concentrate. Appearance:

Yaichiro was next, the Sasu fully recharged and loaded with its armaments. The pilot mused over his options as his machine was loaded onto the catapult stand after the Atama's launch. He pondered his tactics and options even at this time, keeping in mind his armament and his machine's role.
Thankfully, he'd been a Murasame pilot, and was well-trained in interception tactics and G-force tolerance. His CQC skills weren't bad, though he wasn't satisfied with them if he were to shoulder a Gundam-class unit with a melee/CQC build. He'd have preferred more simulator time in this machine, but the situation was what it was. He'd just have to manage somehow, and use the machine's speed to its optimal advantage.
"Yaichiro, Gundam Sasu, Launching." Yaichiro said, his voice not betraying his feelings on the matter. It wasn't the time for weakness. He would deploy as well, forming up with the Atama as they moved toward the enemy. He didn't want to betray the machine's true abilities too quickly to the enemy unless it became necessary and considered the power needs of the Sasu's Large Anti-Mobile Suit Swords against the number of likely foes. He decided to stick with the Beam Saber for the moment, unless the more powerful weapon became necessary. After all -- there was probably something to be said for the lower mass of the Beam Saber and the Sasu's speed against the rank and file enemies...

The situation around Orb's dock yard escalated rapidly from one of pure terrorism, to an outright war. After Orb's newest ship, the Uzumi Nara, emerged from its drydock, the area around the shipyard focused into three separate engagement zones. To one side, opposite of the shipyard, was the main force of the Ghost of Cosmos. Down to their mobile suits and only one supporting Drake ship, they had pushed back the Zaft and Earth Alliance escort forces back before coming to a standstill. With an anti-beam field deployed by the Uzumi Nara, each force was restricted to mere ballistics which were neglected by all factions because of beam superiority. Now the Zaft and Alliance forces retreat under the cover of the beam field, while the Ghost units regroup before attacking.
In between the Ghost-Zaft-Omni battle and the dockyard are two vessels, both classified as battleships and both created to lead a faction. Orb's new Fujin-class Uzumi Nara battleship, launched under combat conditions similar to its predecessors, meets the last of the Girty Lue-class ships, the Ghost of Cosmos controlled Thixo battleship. Forming with the Thixo are its Strike Saber mobile suits, exclusively Ghost mobile suits given only to the most deserving. However, they are only mass production units, copied designs from one to the other. The units launched by the Uzumi on the other hand are unique designsl the Gundams. Atama, Ryoko and Sasu. Three of the four units were recovered by the Atama before its launch onto the field and all three were sortied with unintended pilots. Following their launch, the Uzumi bridge launched cluster missiles towards the Ghosts.
in a third direction away from these conflicts and the shipyard was a conflict between Orb's defense forces and the Zala Loyalists. The Orb defenders were weakened, forced to fall back in an attempt to regroup with the Uzumi. They fared poorly in comparison to the Zaft renegades, whose combat experience and updated units showed greater strength. The Loyalists gained their main objective, but upon Commander Hazuko's declaration and the deployment of the new Gundams, the acting commander has decreed they defeat all of Patrick Zala's enemies. Their mobile suits rush forward to end the Orb pilots, and then capture or destroy the new Gundams.
On board each ship the situation is varied. On board the Thixo, the crew is preparing to combat the newest battleship while recollecting their infiltration team with an unintended prisoner; the Earth Alliance president Brenda Parks, sent away along with the infiltrators. On board the Uzumi, the bridge is faced with combat before receiving a trial run, while the panicked and wounded civilians from the ceremony are attended to. In the medical bay, the Prime Minister's current situation is rapidly deteriorating. Every one on the battlefield is fighting for their life or someone else's, bringing back many painful memories from the last two wars. However, such a small conflict can't even be considered the beginning of a war compared to the previous campaigns...

Yaichiro, however, then recalled the nature of the Anti-Beam field, and pondered. He glanced at his saber integrity, seeing if it would function properly in the field or not. If his saber were faltering and his enemies' sabers were unlikely to pose a problem, he'd reconsider his decision...and take advantage of the anti-beam field to take out at many foes as possible with his speed and the fancy beam shield-like sword. Maybe he could do that within enough time to make the expected power drain practical. Little did he know that there was no such drain. Perhaps this special circumstance called for the Sasu's true armament after all...

With missiles flying towards the ship and its mobile suits compliment, the Thixo's CIWS came to life to intercept the ballistics. When the missiles expelled their protected cargo however, the explosives scattered, too many for the guns to destroy completely. The Strike Sabers fired their vulcans and raised their shields for defense. The resulting explosions rocked the battleship, destroying one and damaging another beyond repair, while only light damage to the shield was taken by others. With the explosion cleared, the Sabers accelerated forward to attack the Gundams while the Thixo entered combat against the Uzumi.

Joseph proceeded back to the bridge of the Thixo after the hangar incident. Taking the President of the EA had put them in jeopardy. While the EA certainly had a system to replace her now that she would be considered unavailable for command, he reputation gained during her election meant the EA would be sure to look for her, dead or otherwise. It would be a political as well as 'patriotic' mission for them. When the corridor seemed to move and Joseph hit the wall, he pushed off and rushed for the bridge. They must be in combat with the enemy now. As Joseph appeared back at the bridge, gottfried fire flashed towards the enemy Uzumi. "Yes." he said, believing the ship would be destroyed quickly.
Name: Joseph Mikail (29) Genetic Type: Natural Rank: Supreme Commander of Cosmos Position: Ghost of Cosmos Leader Background: One of the last high members of Blue Cosmos, Joseph Mikail was to be put on trial for his crimes as a Logos/Blue Cosmos member, but was able to escape before being arrested or attacked by mobs. He met with some lower members of Logos and they retreated into the debris belt as the second war ended. When Librarian Works acted, he took advantage of the aftermath and gathered up the remaining Logos sympathizers he could, as well as obtaining the carbon human and cloning technologies of Librarian Works. With these, he was able to raise their military force as well as declaring them the Ghost of Cosmos. He despises Coordinators for their abilities, believing that they flaunt their improved skills over Naturals.

Once the last gundam was launched, the catapult closed, the Tearus still being recharged. The cluster missiles worked well, splitting and detonating close to the enemy. The Uzumi was still separate from the EA and Zaft escort ships and suits, so they would have to finish dealing with the Girty Lue-class in front of them. "Concentrate fire on the Girty-Lue, use the Lohengrins sparingly. Load all tubes with anti-ship missiles and fire at will." Hazuko had been though both invasions of Orb, the attacks against Zaft's Minerva and the assault of the Requiem weapon. He wouldn't panic in this state, although the loss of feeling in his hastily pressured wound made him worry about his own health. A message popped up on the console, the team taking the Zaft commander. "Take him to the rest of the Zaft personnel, but take down his ID."

Ryuu watched as the Ghost suits took shelter from the incoming missiles, only to have them scatter prematurely and send explosive charges into their ranks. After the explosions finished, the Sabers rushed towards teh three gundams, to which Ryuu pulled his shield in front and aimed the beam rifle out of reflex. He didn't care that he was in a mobile suit, only that the enemy were Cosmos pilots. "Die!" He shouted, firing off the rifle, as his shield took on the incoming beams. "Koizumi, fire off mirco-missiles to intercept!" he ordered the Kyori's pilot. Ryuu's rifle fire wasn't on sight, either his piloting skill deteriorated or the unit needed some adjustment but he didn't have the luxury of testing those theories.

During the first bloody Valantine war, Japan got more involved with the EA. Conscription started to happen. The Hikaru Family then moved to the Neutral nation of Orb. Later to face an invasion by the Earth Forces. Sammy's Big sister and father were part of the defending forces at Onogoro island. They both lost there lives while waiting for remaining forces to retreat to the Kaguya mass driver. Now year 75 of the Cosmic Era, Sammy is now assigned as Fire Controls Officer on board the Uzumi Nara. In hopes of honoring his sister, dad and late mom.

Her remains were recovered by the remnants of Blue Cosmos. Because she was the daughter of the Late George Allster. She became one of the new test subjects to have Carbon-human technology in her body. Some memory's and parts of her body were restored. She isn't the same Flay we used to know. With his Beam Saber's integrity staying true and the other pilots attempting to utilize weakened but functioning beams, Yaichiro elected to retain his original selected armament. The Sasu used its mobility to try to intercept the enemy, adjusting his angles of approach and dodging what fire he could while his ally fired back. His time in a Murasame cockpit came back to him, though the Sasu was significantly faster. The veteran steeled himself against the acceleration of his maneuvers as he attempted to intercept and fulfill the machine's role -- to pierce the enemy.
Because the enemy was also accelerating, it took little time for them to close the gap between each other. They'd encounter the Sasu before the Atama due to the former's acceleration. Yaichiro's machine found the first Strike Saber still wielding its shield and beam rifle due to the efforts of the Atama at firing back. The unit attempted to use its shield to protect itself and switch to its saber, but Yaichiro noticed that the shield was lightly damaged from the Uzumi Nara's earlier strike -- enough to where the anti-beam coating was compromised in certain spots.
The Sasu's beam saber plunged through the shield at one of these points, any residual beam coatings only protecting the surface of the shield from the stab for the most imperceptible of moments before the energy carried on through the shield and into the side of the Strike Saber's torso. Shields were meant to deflect slashes more than focused stabs to begin with. The Sasu's knee would find purchase with the shield in the moment after that, the Sasu using the collision to both decelerate quickly and to gain the leverage to yank his saber free. Had he more skill he might have been able to knock his enemy free of himself in one fluid motion or attack in a different manner altogether, but he didn't have time for the luxury of self-critique.
He thruster-boosted away as quickly as he could to avoid the explosion of the enemy machine, which happened less than a second later, and to avoid the counterattack of some of the other Strike Sabers which had likely slowed to attack the Sasu. Of course, this meant that they had likely also turned their backs to the Atama. Yaichiro kept moving, trying to avoid the weakened beam fire and strike down more enemies in coordination with the other Gundams.

"Have the Zaft and Earth forces continue to retreat, we don't want to hit our own allies!" A shout from Hikaru about missiles "Refocus rear-ward CIWS turrets towards the front of the ship, we don't have any threats from behind. Focus Gottfried fire on the enemy's main cannons, tilt bow 5 degrees up, 10 to starboard then fire lohengrin. Maneuver 20 degrees back to port and fire starboard lohengrin!"Lohengrins may have been more powerful when fired together, but firing one at a time allowed for them to recharge separately as well as less recoil from the force.

Sasu had already intercepted one of the units before it could reach melee range, but Kage kept the unit close to frontlines, even if he was attracting their attention. Ryuu fired the beam rifle again, to which a saber maneuvered to intercept the bolt from its intended target with a shield. The target he aimed at placed back its rifle, equipping a heat tonfa and detaching the beam saber to enter melee combat with the Sasu. "Kage, up!" he shouted into the coms, firing at the Saber that intercepted him. "Die terrorist!" it kept approaching, firing back with its own beam rifle. The laminated armor on the Atama's shield performed better than any beam-coated shield, preventing the beam bolts from melting through the armor. Ryuu believes deeply in Orb's motto, but also thinks if someone has the ability to help others, they should whether it involves them or not. With the shock of his experience, he gets shaky when piloting a mobile suit. He also holds a grudge against Blue Cosmos for his parent's death.
