One thing you have to give the Sith: When they invaded the galaxy, they had the best strategy, the best soldiers, and the best technology available. The Fury-class is the best money can buy for sith transports.

The Fury-class is a multi-purpose vessel. The size of a small corvette, it has firepower that would rival a frigate, room for a gaggle of passengers, and engines that look more at home on a blockade runner. These vessels serve as the transport of choice for the Sith elite, ferrying their warriors and Lords wherever they need to go, along with any passengers and prisoners. They include armories, prisons, a medbay, everything you could ask for.

One of the most striking features of the ship are a group of retractable s-foils. Usually concealed during transit, they can be opened during combat, increasing maneuverability and range. Against smaller craft, the Fury is absolutely lethal.

Before the X-70b in the Cold War, the Sith needed a vessel to ferry it's agents across the galaxy. There was a need for high tech, low profile ships that could hold their own in battle while offering all the necesities for a servant of the Emperor. The first ship conceived was the X-70a.

The original spectre was built on a hightech frame. Very curvy, with no moving parts aside from the landing gear, she has a very Nubian design. The spectre's were covered in a prototype alloy that hid the ship from sensors, especially while powered down or idle.

These vessels are not mass-produced, and only given to the most senior agents in the Sith Empire.

If a T-16 Skyhopper had a baby with a B-wing, and that baby was born deformed and more than four millenia before its parents, the Thunderclap would be that baby. First created during the Great Hyperspace War, the BT-7 is the Republic's go to ship for heavy armed transports, perfect for ship-to-ship combat, ferrying soldiers, and even taking out other transports.

It might be ungainly, but these ships are durable. They can take a beating, dish one out, and fly away to fight another day. Still, despite being 1300 years old by the Great Galactic War, it was one of the most powerful small craft the Republic could field.

Made by CEC in the years prior to the Great Galactic War, the Defender was designed to serve as the ideal transport. While not as heavily armed or defended as typical military-grade corvettes, the Defender still boasts an impressive array of engines, defense, and armament to scare away any potential enemies.

The prototype of this vessel had a very short life with the Jedi Order. Just before the Jedi arrived to take the vessel on a test flight, a Miralian smuggler named Hylo Visz commandeered her. The ship spent the rest of it's life as her personal joyride, until she was presumed dead not long before the Battle of Coruscant.

Still, CEC went on to produce many of these vessels for the Order. Of note are the advanced conference rooms, complete with hologrpahic interface, to entertain guests.

And here I thought the Sith made nothing but cool ships. This thing is just... weird. I mean, it's a mini Star Destroyer, but with wings. Do the wings help in atmosphere? Beats me, but it looks fugly.

Not much else to know beyond that. This is the standard escort of the Sith Empire. Not all that good in ship-to-ship combat, but excellent at taking on smaller vessels. Also note that she's pretty fast for her size, able to keep up with smaller vessels such as Thrantas and corvettes.

My reccomendation: leave it alone unless you're in a big ship yourself.

Meet the granddaddy of the Firespray. It's ugly but fast and tough as nails. Designed to serve as a flying weapons platform, the Mantis is the latest ship outta KDY, as of the Great Galactic War.

It may be small and ugly, but the vessel is surprisingly well built. Intensive use of vertical storage, heavy armament, armor, shields, and engines, and retractable s-foils. If you're looking for something a bit on the more timid side, then go away, ya pansy.

Despite being as good a ship as she gets as far as small craft goes, KDY never built many of them. Owning one either says you're rich, lucky, or have no sense of fashion. Probably all of the above.

The Gage-class Transport is even uglier than it's big brother, the Terminus-class Destroyer. It's considerably longer and more heavily armored. The trade-off is a slower top speed and lack of armament. These are above all, not combat vessels .

Of note of these vessels is the Black Talon. During the Cold War, it was entangled in the assault on the Brentaal Star. All hands aboard were lost but the mission was successful: a testament to the hardiness of the ship.

Based on earlier ships like the Endar Spire, the Thranta-class is the latest medium-sized warship available to Republic forces during the Great Galactic War. Technically a corvette, it's quite fast and powerful for her tonnage, able to make quick and hard attacks, before fleeing.

These ships are good for two things really: escorting, and running away. Despite only being a corvette, these ships provide the bulk of Republic naval assets.

Notable ships of the class include the Esseles and the Brentaal Star.

Okay, so, picture a Nebulon-B, but bigger. Like, totally round and all, more meaty. You'd look at one of these and think they were built by KDY or even the Mon Calamari, but nope. In fact, we're not even sure Rendili made them, now that we think about it. Oh well.

The armament of the ship is spread all the way around, mainly on the corners. In fact, most of the entire armament is located on top of the ship, and the ship has very minimal defenses on her underside. A common strategy against one of these ships was to attack from the rear, or underneath the ship, avoiding as much of the armament as possible, though there were still some defenses to deter you.

Still, if you're travelling in Republic space, the safest way to go is on one of these.

Small as a mynock, fast as a howlrunner, and about as lethal as a gundark. The Talon-class forms the bulk of Republic starfighter forces. Though they technically serve alongside the venerable Aurek-class, these fighters have been seen more and more since the war.

The bloke who decided that Hammerhead should be used for three millenia in the Republic Navy is either a genius or an idiot. We're still trying to decide.

Yes, the same class of warships as the Endar Spire, these vessels have been used since before the Mandalorian Wars, and were still considered capital ships as of the New Sith Wars. And Capital Ship is a bit of a stretch; at 300 meters, she barely qualifies as a corvette.

Truth be told, she's been upgraded more times than your grandpappy's freighter. There are dozens of variants floating around. The modifications vary throughout the years. A stock model of these though... well, let's just say that if you're in a decently modern vessel of similar tonnage, you shouldn't have any problems at all.

Weaknesses? Evil Sith Lords and Sith fleets. And gravity.

During the Sith Empire's campaign to conquer the galaxy during the Great Galactic War, Imperial strategy required a few things: speed, power, surprise, and technology.

Without the massive number of worlds the Republic had, the Sith Empire had to make up with ingenuity and cunning. To supplement the might of the Imperial infantry, the brilliant minds in Weapons Development came up with these bad boys. Manufactured by the Colicoid Creation Nest, the Sith War Droid bears a cunning resemblance to the Droideka of later years. Anyone who thought the Colicoids were just savage bugs are wrong; any creature that can make machines this lethal is quite sentient. These machines are massive, well armored, and well armed. Their purpose: walking weapon platforms that demolish enemy infantry and light vehicles. They're not fast, but damn, they're scary. No sane Republic trooper would dare attack one.

Ever since droids were invented to first supplant the lazy and unintelligent of the galaxy, security droids have been around. Whenever a force has need of man power, but lacks living and breathing sentients, or the resources to field an army of organics, security droids make a good second choice.

Usually, you'll see security droids in the more secure areas of a factions holdings. Though effective at keeping the peace, they don't make good detectives, and are ill suited for areas under constant attack. Usually you'll find them in small patrols, though finding lone ones aren't unheard of. They also tend to be more intimidating than living guards, and most criminals are deterred by droids, whom are harder to intimidate and bribe.

During the Great Galactic War, security droids saw use on both sides of the conflict. The Sith Empire used security droids quite heavily, Imperial Engineering even developped a variant that could serve on the front lines as a battle droid. They may not be as pretty or useful as an astromech or protocol, but security droids definently have their place.

Subject: Raven-class Heavy Bomber
Status: Canon
Capsule:

Matching the Talon-class fighter, Rendili cooked out a design for a bomber to go with the Republic's new fleet.

The frame of the Raven is basically identical to the Talon, with a few differences. the Raven has a larger wingspan. Because it carries a much heavier payload, including proton bombs, concussive missles, and proton torpedos, the vessel is armed with an additional engine, bringing the total up to three. Despite this, the Raven is slightly slower than her sister, with the addition of heavy armoring. She also turns about as slow as a Hutt on Hoth.

In short, she isn't the fastest ship in the Republic fleet, but she can take a pounding, and level objectives in a fly. They typically fly in flights of three craft, as part of a 4 flight squadron. Statistically speaking though, the Republic has a lot more Talons than Ravens at her disposal, so seeing these in action is at least cause for occasion.

Capsule:

Not strictly a Military class of vessels but a catch all term for a variety of similar sized ships refited for the same role, Wanderers are stripped down military ships (Usually corvettes) that are refitted for civilian use. Rather than let old warships be scrapped, the Republic prefers to remove most of the armaments and modify it to serve official or civilian use as passenger ships and cargo vessels. For an ordinary citizen not involved in interstellar trade, booking passage on a Wanderer is often far cheaper and safer than renting a bunk on a tramp freighter or a free lance cargo ship.

Despite a Wanderer typically having upwards of 70% of its load being civilians, they are always crewed by military personnel. Wanderers are still Military property and piracy is still a threat, even on secure hyperspace routes. As the war progresses, more of these "cargo" ships are being rearmed and returned to active duty

RP Info
~~~~~~~~~~
To represent a Wanderer class vessel, simply take an existing ship design of corvette or frigate scale, drop its weapons down to a quarter of their normal number and power, drop the shields and maneuverability by one rating and reduce the hyperdrive speed by one point.
