"Who cares, it's an adventure. Let loose and live a little, go with the flow." Rosette said all this as she slowly rode her horse near the fount of the group, not seeing she was passing most of them. After turning around, Rosette noticed almost nobody had moved. With a slightly fallen face, she returned to the back of the line.

Kendra purchased her horse and decided to ride bareback. "Why waste time?" She mumbled, hoppping on. "Now don't you expect me to name you, beastie." She told the horse stubbornly. Cause then I'll be getting attached."

Tramer sat completely content forgetting about all his problems as Lairen sat in his arms, thou he soon gave a slight chuckle as he noticed the oncoming aura of a griffin, after Lairen stood up Tramer mumbled several words to himself, shortly after a pure black stallion already saddled trotted out of the stable heading toward Tramer, Tramer stood up facing the animal making a slight bowing motion, the horse stopping seemed to return the gesture. Tramer mounted up leading his horse up next to Larien and the griffin, the horse at first was quite skittish but as Tramer showed no fear the horse soon fallowed soot. “it looks as thou we are all prepared” Tramer said facing the group a hint of weakness still in his voice, Tramer then turned toward Lairen a “love you” Tramer said quietly so as only she would hear.

From the high tower King Aegis Reed sat by the window as he watched group after group depart. He had a small smile on his face because all the nobles had participated. "All is going to plan," Aegis Reed muttered to someone who was unseen in the room. "Continue with the second act."

After a few hours of traveling Epotheros noticed something far ahead upon the trail. As they neared it was evident they were the bodies of humans and beasts of burden. "But who are they?" Epotheros questioned himself as they approached. At about five yards distance Epotheros signaled for Shadow to halt and alow him to observe the corpses.

Their skin was a light tan and their eyes were narrow compared to his and most other nationes he knew. They carried curved two handed swords and wore light scaled armor. They had all the culteral and physical characteristics as the people from the east. He had not been in that part of the world since they were requested to slay the giant spider. Whatever killed these men, did it before they knew what hit them.

Clover laughed at Epotheros’ comment about Kendra not liking him, and answered positively to his question. She was quite happy to venturing once again. She was sure he was too. After a bit of riding something disturbing was spotted up ahead. Corpses. Clover stayed mounted as Epotheros checked the bodies. She stayed alert and fully aware of her surroundings. This was all too familiar. The last time they had found corpses littering the ground, hellhounds came out to great them. “What do you think attacked them?” she asked while her eyes continued to dart about.

Kendra reached for her bow, and her sting. She got it prepared, and reached for an arrow, which she held between her teeth, on the alert.

Ezorin stopped a little back from Epotheros and could see what was in front of them. Be ready just don't let your opponent know you are ready. Those where the words of his master. Ezorin thought about those words as he prepared to fight anyone that might come out against them. Then being ready to fight he said, "Are we going to wait and see if the attacker comes back?"

Larien smiled down at Tramer and sent waves of reasurance and love to him, filling his mind.
Keyrim had to take smaller strides than he was use to in order for the rest of the group to move at the same pace. But he was patient and it felt good to feel the light weight of Larien upon his shoulders once again. Once the group stopped for the night they would have to go flying together. All at once Keyrim's as well as Larien's attention was focused on the road ahead of them. The stench of death was thick in the air and Keyrim had to fight the urge not to screech his protest to the group for ventureing near the wasteland of corpses.
Larien could feel Keyrim's discomfort as they neared the dead bodies of both man and beast, she too felt ill. Looking at Tramer, she had a look of many questions that no one could answer right away.
"I don't like the feeling of this place."

((By the way, I added a pic of Keyrim to Larien's profile..))

he felt a little annoyed that the fox girl didnt give him her name, along with Epotheros not answering his quistion. "am i invisable" he thought but shrugged the feeling off as they started to head out.
Shmitty stayed behind everyone, riding singley with no one at his sides.
after following everyone for a few hours, he suddenly smelt the stinch of death and blood, then Epotheros stopped, and his eyes saw the men dead a few yards ahead. He didnt like to sit and wait. he dismounted Odin and sprinted past everyone and headed towards the dead men laying on the ground.
standing in the middle of the scene, he got low to the ground, sniffing the air and keeping his ears and eyes focused on any strange happenings. he looked at the bodys, looking for a clue to what did this.
whatever it was, it was fast and damn good at killing

Tramer smiled warmly at Larien as the set out, only moments before Larien’s comment Tramer cot sight of the corpses with his altered eye, the auras of recently dead men still standing out agents the baryon rood, “death has came early for several pore souls” Tramer said turning toward Larien a solemn expression on his face. As soon as Tramer was reasonably close to the corpses Tramer dismounted and approached, walking past Epotheros and Shmitty Tramer knelt down next to a random body closely examining there wounds, Tramer grabbed one of the man’s shoulder turning him over so as to get a look at his face, “mount up…we need to get out of here fast!” Tramer said recognizing the man, he was one of the nobles present at the gathering, thou it was only a chill up his spin Tramer had a hunch that these weren’t going to be the only people that had been at the gathering that were going to come across an untimely death on there quest to recover an artifact, Tramer couldn’t decide on whether the whole quest was a trap or if someone was using the kings test agents him, thou in the end it mattered not for either way the group was in trouble. Tramer started back for his horse keeping a close eye on his surroundings knowing well whatever had killed these men would not have had time to get very far.

Without warning Keyrim gave one powerful downward push with his massive wings and was in the air within seconds. Larien was taken by surprise and clung to the soft feathers around Keyrim's neck as he propelled them higher into the sky.
"Keyrim? What are you doing?"
The griffin turned his head to look at her and answered in her mind, making not a sound.
"You should be far from that place princess, it is my birthright as your protector to watch over you."
Rolling her eyes she communicated back to him the same way.
"I have not been called princess in many years friend. When the war ended I gave you your free will. Do you not remember this or are the years catching up with you?" Laughing she smiled slightly but kept a watchful eye on the group below.
"Keyrim, if there is any trouble I need to be down there to help my friends."
He simply nodded and replied. "We will see dearest."

Tramer gave a relived sigh as the griffin took the air, awhile back Tramer had shared a few words with Keyrim, at the time fearing his enemies might attack asked him to keep an extra close eye on Larien and if the slightest hint of danger was to show itself to get her out of the area as soon as possible, thou this is not the situation Tramer indented he was glad none the less. Tramer making it quickly back to his horse got mounted up “keep your eyes, ears all your senses sharp, all the men you see in front of us were trained as solders since they could stand, if something managed to take them by surprise it had to be unimaginably cunning” Tramer said as his horse started to slowly move forward

Kendra reached into her quiver, grabbing another arrow, of which she notched. She didn't pull it back, and she pointed it at the ground, ready to fire. The muscle in her upper left arm twitched, unable to tale the stress; she ignored it. With one arrow in her mouth for quick access, and one on the bow for almost immidiate launch, she was pretty prepared.

After giving a quick glance around to survey his surroundings, Epotheros figured it safe enough to bend over to take a look at the corpses. The death blow was dealt with a bladed weapon because there was a thin, but deep slit along the length of the ventral sid eof the neck. Unsure at the moment of what he should do he simply told them to get ready to take off. He will decide later if they should abort or not.
