With a glance at her comrades, Ahbuusiv turned, shifting closer to the deer at a steady gate. She could tell by the rapid way that Eiwen was moving that he had already selected a meal for them, and was headed on his way to take it down. Though the dark female was sure that her friend would be fine on his own, she sped up regardless, her lithe body fairly dancing over the ground. The chase was what she lived for, not the fight. Bursting upon the scene, she stopped, her gaze narrowing slightly in annoyance, then turning from the sudden appearance of the buck, to the fallen form of the doe. Large enough, it seemed, to feed them, and already dead from the draining of it's blood. Rash choice, perhaps, for now the buck had turned on Eiwen, and, Ahbuusiv knew, in turn, herself.

Stepping forward, a throaty growl lit from her small frame, her tail stiff and full in her mixture of fear, and anger. How dare the buck turn - he knew the rules of the hunt as well as the wolves did! Her growl escalated slightly, a glance at Eiwen telling him that she was right there, regardless. Though boy oh boy, those antlers did look a tad menacing. Shifting closer to Eiwen, so that she was square with him and on the opposite side of the buck, a harsh growl came forth.

She would protect her friend and the food, if the stupid herbivore didn't get the hint.

-Cajarsa wandered in the forest, afraid like, as if she didn't know what was to become of her. Her pace was slow and cautious. Her ears were up in high alert and her body was stiff. She sat under a tree for a long while before rolling on her back and taking a deep sigh. She hadn't seen anyone for a long time and wondered where they were. She slowly thumped her tail on the ground.-

Eiwen's hackles rose and he snarled again, snapping at the buck's leg as it danced closer. 'I've made the kill, and she died almost instantly, so it is a fair kill! Back down!' The male snapped at the wildly anxious deer. 'Are you stupid? I said it was fairly taken, and the doe was limping anyways.' Eiwen circled closer to the kill and glanced over at Abbie who was being smart and keeping her distance from the angry buck and its antlers.

The deer suddenly lunged forward at him and the brute jumped sideways just in time to avoid the piercing antlers. The buck struggled to regain his balance and spun, clipping Eiwen on the flank with a sharp hoof. The wolf snarled and charged at the stupid beast in turn, knocking into its legs and upending it next to the corpse of the other deer. The buck was a swirl of antlers and hooves as it tried to right itself, and Eiwen was forced back again. 'Damn beast, listen to reason!'

Eiwen trotted up next to Abbie, panting heavily from the struggle. He could smell another wolf nearby, but was unsure if he should alert the buck to another target. Eiwen let out a quick bark followed by a long howl to tell the other wolf of the nearby danger. He understood the fear felt by newer wolves and didn't wish to involve anyone else in the chaotic hunt unless they knew what they were up against....

Ahbuusiv watched the struggle, knowing it was not her place to intervene. Though her growling grew in volume, she did nothing more than step forward. Terrorizing the buck with two targets would be cruel and unneeded. He was merely reacting poorly to the removal of one of his does from his herd. Once he realized that she was dead and gone he would calm down - she hoped. When Eiwen was forced back once more, she dipped her head, sniffing lightly. Was that his blood she caught the scent of? A ping of worry echoed in her head and she pushed it back, refusing to acknowledge it until the fight was well and truly done.

"Has he gone crazy? With two of us, we could easily take him down."

Her nose twitched, her eyes glancing at the deer. Stupid buck - if they had to take him down, the meat would rot and go to waste. There was no way they could eat that much meat with just the few of them in the forest.

'It would be a waste, I don't want to have to fight any more than we need to.'

Eiwen licked his side as he stood next to Abbie then he lifted his head to again meet the gaze of the buck. His emerald eyes peircing into the frightened deer's brown ones, eventually the buck shook its head and turned. It trotted off into the trees in the direction of its herd to protect its numerous other females. Eiwen barked at it a final time as its white tail disappeared around a pine tree.

Exhausted from the effort, Eiwen lay down, panting heavily. 'It's been a long time since I've tried to take down large game... too long perhaps.' He sighed and looked up at Abbie. 'You may have the honor of first to the kill, I'll join you once I've caught my breath...'

Watching Ewien, Ahbuusiv frowned fully. The buck had left, and now she was certain that she could smell blood on her companion. As he lay down, she tried to hide her frown, but assumed that she failed horribly, for she could not feel it go away. With a quiet thank you, she trotted to the fallen doe, and eyed the corpse with hunger. But, first things first. Finding a delicate looking chunk of meat, she gnawed slightly on the tendons, pulling gently on the meat. As expected, it slipped out easily enough, and, carrying it in her mouth, she returned to Eiwen, setting it down in front of him. He may not have the energy to tear into the deer, but that was no reason he couldn't eat. After all, he was the one who had killed it. Quietly, she spoke.

"Thank you... I've no clue how to hunt large game at all, you know."

Eiwen laughed at Abbie and tried to smile gently to reassure her. 'I'm surprised then, you held your ground well even when faced with that insane creature. ...I'm glad you're not hurt though.' He gratefully grabbed the meat and tore off a generous chunk, swallowing hard.

As he looked back up, Eiwen could see the frown set upon his friend's face. 'Now, don't look at me like that...' He shifted uncomfortably and tried to hide the blood matted fur on his flank. 'It's nothing, I'm sure it'll heal in a couple of days.....'

Huffing in annoyance, Ahbuusiv trotted back to the deer, grabbing another chunk of meat and plopping it down in front of Eiwen. before sitting down herself, though, she got herself a small portion, her mouth salivating fully by now, and her stomach contracting painfully. It had gone months without much more than spare bits on occasion, and she was damn near starving. Chewing happily, she turned back to Eiwen, mumbling at his last comment.

"Or it could get infected. You'd better be sure to keep it clean, or I'll knock you flat and do it for you."

Making a face, she stared at her paws, slightly surprised at her own words.

Pakak wandered in and looked at the injured wolf "Are you okay, you aren't hurt I hope from hunting the deer?" Pakak started walking around getting into everything seeing Ahbuusiv eat her prize. "Don't eat so fast you'll get sick from eating so rapidly it could kill you from your stomach's painful reaction." Pakak's telepathy showed that Ahbuusiv was in pain.

Neve lifted her ears, the flowing tail waving back and fourth silently through the air. She could hear the voices of a wolf that was close to the ocean.
The she-wolf flicked one of her ears down in slight irritation. The pack-lands were unbelievably barren lately, and the only wolves or creatures that she ever did find she wouldn't communicate with.
'What is wrong with me...?' She wondered mentally, before lifting back up the ear that had been laying on the side of her head. The small bangle that be-fitted it gave a small jingle before settling in its normal position. Curiously, the white pelted wolf crept forward.
Of course, it was a few pack-members, as the she-wolf had expected. She gave a small sigh, and rolled back into a sitting position. Her ears picked up as the brute spoke up about the other wolf being in pain. 'I wonder how he could know...well, it's not uncommon for powers around here...' she thought to herself, before sighing, and staring out at the water.
"I wonder where the rest of the pack is..." the she-wolf murmured quietly to herself.

Pakak heard a voice and tryed to trace it looking around and then headed off in Neve's direction. Pakak thought to himself There is someone near this place he sprinted looking for this voice and finally picked up the scent. "There!" Pakak shouted and went through a few more trees and found her this wolf he was unfamiliar with. "Who are you?" He asked curiously.

The white she-wolf jumped, scrambling quickly to her paws. She took a few deep breaths, preparing to answer. When was the last time she'd talked to another wolf? Neve couldn't remember.
"I-I-I'm sorry...for...listening-in." Her gray markings seemed to glow with embarrassment, "I-I...was just curious." Neve's ears fell down onto her head, showing that she wasn't trying to be dominant over this new wolf. Her orbs studied him for a few moments.
"O-oh...right..." she began, "I'm...Neve..." her words seemed to be stumbled over, showing that she wasn't very social. The female never had been one to talk or start a conversation. The whole world of speech seemed new to her.

Pakak looked away "Your fine and don't be so afraid," He wags his tail and walks over to her. "You're not the only one that is new in our territory." Pakak explains the place to her and his story. "Before I leave to the den do you want to come with me to see the others? No one knows what happened to a lot of them they just disappeared." He started to walkaway sensing her nervousness. "I think you'd need the socialism." Pakak laughs. "You won't believe me when I say this but I'm 426 years old. I can technically be called an elder. Let me explain my abilities, When I was a pup there was a wolf injured so I mended her with all my strengh. It so happened she was a spirit and gave me immortality, the powers of the elements, telepathy which is how I found you, and the power of healing in case I get hrt." He knew she was confused at all of this andhe was heading for the den.

Lifting an ear in confusion and curiosity, Neve padded slowly after him. "So...you're immortal..." she began, "Doesn't it ever get lonely, having to have other wolves...around you...you know...die?" Her eyes were somewhat sorrowful. She wouldn't choose immortality, that's all she knew.
"Did you...say y-you can heal?" Neve asked slowly, her voice cautious. She didn't want to ask too many questions at once. Her head bowed slightly as she walked along beside his flank. "I-I can too...and I c-can see...future events..." her ears flattened, and she studied the trees intently, as though suddenly fabulously interested in their rough bark.

"Don't be so nervous around others they'll think badly of you." Pakak laughed then thought of her question. "Yes but most emotions of sorrow and death went numb after so many died." He stared at her curiously. "I also have Invisibility so I can be a good spy." He tried hardly to cheer her up and have her get used to him.
