Well, here it is...The line arts of the clean version of my nude of Ven. I really hate how his paws turned out, so I plan to work on them a bit more, and I think I jacked up his hair...

Done using Corel Painter Essentials 2.

Any input is welcome and more than encouraged! There are still some things that I need to learn, and the more CC, the better ^_^

Edit: Oh, crap XD I forgot to refine his ears...

I have a question. I want to comission someone on FA for art. Only problems are:

1. He lives in a different country than I do, with different currency.
2. How I would get said payment to him.

I don't trust PayPal. Not one bit. It's not as secure as sending a check or a money order, but those ways are out. I HAVE TO HAVE HIS ART.

Here's his page. Be warned, it has some artistic adult content on it.

It would be good to actually ask him the prefered payment. By the way, PayPal is one of the more reliable and secure ways to pay online.

Yeah, it's a LOT more secure than sending a check or money order. People can always open an envelope and take your check and use it for themselves. Can't do that with Paypal wink

I still don't trust it. Every time you pay over the internet you're taking a huge risk, because there's always the chance something will go wrong and instead of paying 50 cents for a ping pong ball, there could be an error and you would end up paying $500.

Besides, there's all that bother about creating an account and setting passwords and things....

I have never actually heard of that happening and in the few cases where I have over paid I have always gotten a refund.

Fog, seriously, people use Paypal every day, and if there ARE any cases of fraud or identity theft with using it, there aren't many. Let's use an example for analogy. It's not the same, but it's another "high risk" situation, if you will.

People get on planes and fly across the country, even the world, many times a day. How many of those planes crash each day? A very small amount if any. Just because there's a risk there, it doesn't stop people from flying. It doesn't stop people from driving either. Why should the risk stop you every time?

I'm not saying you shouldn't be cautious at all, it's definitely good to have some caution when buying things online, but you gotta be reasonable. Chances are higher that you'll have a good transaction and good business with the artist instead of something bad happening.

And even if something bad happens, these places will usually not hold you accountable. I've had my credit card number stolen before. Company called me up and asked me if I made a $350 order from the UK for computer parts. I obviously didn't. They cancelled the order and my card, sent me a new card. Not a cent was charged to me. There's a lot of thought put into these services. They're not out to get you. They're out to facilitate business transactions. I think maybe you just need to have a little more faith.

The only reason I don't like Paypal much is because they keep taking down my accounts. I've had 3! It's not their fault though, so I won't complain. I just use it when I need to

*coughs lightly into his paw* Um, I don't mean to be an a** or anything, but isn't this supposed to be an ART topic? For discussing ART? Not Paypal?
