I'd love to hear. smile Have a nice walk! I should probably get some sleep, I need to get up tomorrow and do the reading for my western philosophy class. stressed Fortunately I don't start school until 4 pm though. I made a mistake when setting up my schedule for this term, so now I have school from 10 to 6 on tuesdays (in completely different buildings and no lunch break), and then only from 4 to 6 on wednesdays. whee

Western... Like, the Americas?
Well, if you need my help, let me know. I'll always help a friend! biggrin
Anyway, those stories... I have about three;
1. YuriKa!: It's about a seemingly average black American kid, oddly named Jessicia Miranda Jackson, who manages to get a mansion in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, Japan. His grandmother is a wealthy Japanese citizen, due to her incredibly successful business of female-specific products. When the man arrives at the mansion, however, he finds out that the mansion has already been inhabited by females. They immediately begin questioning him, but as he turns around to talk to his grandmother about the situation, she's in her limo, driving away. As the scene finally settles down, Jessie calls his grandmother's cell, only to find out that she gave her cellphone to another girl, who claims to be Jessie's adopted daughter. Long story short, his life is turned upside down. He soon hits on the girls, only to be physically harmed afterwards. His grandmother finally calls him while he's in his room bandaging his wounds, telling him that all the girls in the mansion are not interested in men. Thus starts the great tale of YuriKa!
It's sorta based off the Harem anime of Japan, where one dumb guy is surrounded by girls who love him. I wanted to do the exact opposite, and came to this. I actually love this idea, but I need to work on the characters before actually writing the story. I have Jessie all planned out, but that's about it. I have ideas for all the other characters, but nothing concrete...
2. Sleeping Beauties: Okay, I'm sorta tired after the last explanation, so here goes: A princess is woken up by a kiss from an armored knight. Upon leaving the castle where she slept, she asks the knight to remove his mask, only to reveal the knight to be female.
This is taking a fairy-tale and turning it on its head. I also love this idea. >_>
3. Dissociative Identity: All I have so far is that the main character is a girl who has multiple personality disorder and photographic memory.
This story is about screwing with your head. I also think it's quite brilliant.
What do you think? I know it's an awful lot of writing, but you're an awesome friend, so I'm wondering what you think of it. sweatdrop

Patrick: No, the West as in not the East (the cultural tradition rising around the Mediterranean with the Greeks and spreading throughout Europe excluding Russia, and then North America and Australia). The people we study are 98% Europeans though, and most of them died some thousand years ago. sweatdrop But thanks! biggrin
Ooh cool ideas.. I'll be a bit hard on you, but that's just because I know you can take it. wink
1. You've told me about this idea before I think. What kind of storyline does it have after the initial opening? Sure, I love watching lesbians beat up innocent boys, but it would get old after a while if there is no more plot, and not even a romance developing. This is a pretty difficult one, but it could become really cool. Just try not to go too much with the lesbian stereotypes. wink
2. I like this one! Again you'd need to spend some time developing a good plot, but this definitely has potential!
3. Interesting character, could be great with an interesting storyline and if you make her realistic enough.
My fingers are itching to illustrate, you have some vvery good starts here, I look forward to seeing more. smile
Thank you Aliae! smile
Clarissa: Cool, do you want me to draw your current avatar?

1. Yeah, I did tell you, but that idea has always been stuck in my head. >_>... Anyway, the plot after that is basically the acceptance of difference. All the girls have little quirks and problems (one is missing a hand, one is stuck in a wheelchair, one is deaf...) that Jessie will try and help them with. He has no reason to, but he does, and that's the point: You don't need a reason to do something or to accept someone. They do not accept him at first because of his odd origins, but he begins to become more and more accepted as he helps them. Oh, and the adoptive daughter illustrates how a good parent is a good parent by helping their child go through life, not by making them try their hardest. >_<
2. Ah, the plot for this one is basically the two girls trying to get back to the kingdom where the Princess lives. Most of it is a sorta relaxing adventure, although there are discussions about whether being male or female is important in the grand scheme of things, and why love cannot just be love. I'd sigh a cute sigh, but I can't, because I'm not cute. >_>
3. Ah, it's all about the trippiness of it. Multiple things going on in the same head, questionable memories, random insanity... Just weird stuff like that. >_>
AH MAN, I can't do geography worth crap. Don't give me a map or you'll get lost damn quick. -_-
Illustrate? Illustrate what? >:3

Patrick: I'm looking forward to read whet you come up with, I think all three ideas have a good potential! smile
I am horrible with maps. Most likely worse than you. But I'm also very stubborn. When we were travelling this summer, my friend decided that I should find out our directions (since he's too lazy). After two hours going in the completely wrong direction ("Are you suure this is the right way?" "Of course I'm sure, I recognise that lamppost!") we ended up in a pretty dodgy neighbourhood in La Paz and had to take a taxi to where we were originally heading for.. sweatdrop
Well, first of all I have to make an illustration for the story you are writing about Ylva! I'm embarassed to say that it's still in the early sketching stage...
Clarissa: Don't worry, take all the time you need. smile
Blue Thing: That's kind of why I advised you to post around instead of volunteering myself, I'm a bit in over my head with work at the moment. sweatdrop But I will try my best to come up with something for you if I get the time this weekend!
Sui: Sounds great! I'd love it if we got pizza at work tomorrow (HAHA not gonna happen).
Aliae: Wow, that sounds interesting! It's actually a mandatory class everyone in university has to take (Even if you study like... math), so it's not really that wonderful.. Our teachers are the ones who once apon a time wanted to be professors, but they didn't make it and got stuck with that for some 50 years instead. I used to be very interested in philosophy, but these people are working hard to make it as boring as possible. sad I would much prefer Eastern Philosophy!

yeah, mine could be required but its one of those, many classes can fill one requirement electives so it shouldn't be that boring... should it? sweatdrop So far it is very interesting even if a lot of the reading makes my head hurt after a while.
I'm also taking a class about the White Power movements that is so far very interesting aside from the teacher's nervous tick of saying "right" almost every time he stops for breath.

I'm afraid it's just on paper so far, but I will try to scan it soonish, when I'm happy with it.. smile
If it doesn't make your head hurt, it's just not philosophy. 3nodding I'm actually reading a pretty awesome book now called 'A Very Short Introduction to the Meaning of Life'. Mostly just western philosophers and authors, but still very cool. I am looking forward to the conclusion! biggrin
