Ion Dragon
The
Ion Dragon is the product of four years of intense effort by the two Rapora and their comrades in arms, manufactured piece by piece from combat debris and recovered materials the ship is patterned off of the Krask’kar-class used as a patrol and security vessel in Raporan space, but this vessel departs radically in armament and onboard systems while retaining the Krask’kar-class’s phenomenal speed. Its two immense thrusters, recessed between the wings provide the 90 meter long vessel with enough thrust to keep pace with an Imperial Predator Starfighter.
Its two forward firing ionic-plasma cannons are a design that is the direct result of Revak Valar’s tinkering with ion cannons; each one is capable of delivering three times the ionic damage as a Class-10 Ion Cannon at twice the range. Additionally a dual pair of plasma turrets on the main hull can deliver three times the damage of a high end turbolaser, but only at half the range. In the head of the starship a pair of small rapid fire plasma cannons is recessed, while capable of firing at a rate comparable to quad laser cannons the weapons deliver only a little more damage then a standard class-5 turbolaser. Recessed on either side of the main neck of the vessel is a pair of plasma-missile launchers, each one a swifter self contained version of the Raporan plasma bomb.
The ship is designed to carry the two Raporan Kar’Asp starfighters which Revak and Calra arrived in on a pair of grapples directly below the engine block. In order to execute boarding operations a pair of small boarding tubes can extend from the bottom of the vessel’s upper “neck” section. The vessel utilizes a standard raporan capital ship shield array which uses three forms of shielding including ray, particle, and gravitic shielding. This array creates a shield bubble that can withstand fire from multiple batteries of class-10 turbolasers before it collapses, in addition the scattering effect of the gravitic shielding makes the likelihood of a shot punching through the shield without bringing it down first much less likely.
Short History:There are many force traditions in the galaxy, and while only the Jedi and Sith are seemingly prevalent in the history of the galaxy that doesn’t mean that they are the only major players. Enter the force traditions of the Infinite Empire, ancient ways that predate the Jedi order by thousands of years the force traditions of the Rakatan and other parts of their Empire differed widely from the traditions that became the Jedi and the Sith.
In that ancient empire there had been three castes of force users, the builders, warriors, and prophets. Each had its own discipline, specialization, and history. Each also transcended the races of the Infinite Empire spreading themselves across the galaxy and into reaches still unknown to the Jedi and Sith. When the Empire fell it was thought that these traditions had been lost forever, but on the Homeworld of one of the major races that had built the empire the traditions remained intact. Little else of the Empire survived even on this sheltered world.
They called themselves the Rapora, a species that claimed a small system deep in the Unknown Regions their home. They were not born on that world, nor had they evolved upon another world. They were the children of the Rakata, genetically engineered soldiers of astonishing strength, skill, and speed. But like most soldiers they returned to the planet that had been given to them itching for a simple life.
For millennia since the fall of the Infinite Empire the Rapora have been at work, salvaging what they can and creating a new society lead by the Worker and Religion castes of their force order, but suddenly all that changed. The Warrior caste had become disillusioned with the progress of their society. There had been no enemy to fight, no opponent to test their skill in battle, so they turned upon each other and moved to oust those who had lead them, sending forth exiles into an unprepared galaxy and delivering knowledge long lost into the hands of the Jedi and Sith.
Revak Valar is one of these exiles, a leader among the Worker caste he is a master in the lost art of force-forgery or the ability to build and construct complex objects with nothing but the raw materials. However his knowledge in other areas is almost nonexistent forcing him to rely on his loyal bodyguard Calra Nordur a cast out from the Warrior caste.
Since entering the known galaxy Revak has managed to get into trouble since the get go, first with a “terrorist” bombing on the Chiss world of Csilla caused by the Chiss attempting to reverse engineer a bomb they stole from Revak and Calra’s ship. Since meeting the captain of the
Pride of Mantell Jenel Olo they’ve gotten into trouble serving on both ends of the merchant marine fence, as an escort against space pirates, and then as a privateer under Bothan contract in their proxy war against the Hutts. Their small band became known as the Blood Claw Pirates.
The war proved to be quite profitable for these new space pirates, and already Revak and his associates have begun work on building a space fleet of their own, built around their brand new ship. The Krask’kar-class corvette
Ion Dragon.
Over the years Revak’s bond and friendship with Calra, his longtime bodyguard and traveling companion has matured into a loving affection for her, a feeling that is mutual for them.
Description:
Revak Valar is of average appearance for a Rapora. He stands just shy of two meters when fully erect and has a build which is not humanoid. The rapora are of bipedal saurian design, a rarity in the Galaxy with only one other well known example (Ssi-ruuk). He has a dusty brown skin which is scaled but unarmored. Both arms end with a five fingered clawed hand while the legs are classic biped except for an enlarged and raised claw in the middle of the foot, this ‘killing’ claw can be used to slash unarmored people in hand to hand combat.
His force skills include, force forgery, energy absorption and emission (Required for advanced forge techniques), Telekinesis, Micro-telekinesis (The ability to move atoms and other sub atomic particles through the force), force structure (The ability to detect the workings and structure of an object through the force), and basic force healing. His combat force skills are almost none-existent except for combat use of energy emission which enables him to project a blast of energy at foes.

Short History: Calra Nordur was a cast out of her species long before her exile from Raporan space along with Revak Valar. In the warrior caste females were considered to be inferior to their male brethren, despite their better base physical condition as well as their ability to handle pain. This is due to a tendency for females in the species to be weaker in base line force abilities. Therefore in the Warrior caste females were restricted from all the trappings of a member of the warrior caste.
These restrictions did little to stop Calra, she snuck into the military training academies and quickly became the top of her freshman class before she was found out. Disgraced she’d been thrown out of the academy despite her abilities.
Two of the top leaders in the Raporan Imperium found out about her circumstances. The two were Lorak Valar and Crel Asden. Seeing her potential as a warrior Crel asked that Lorak give her a place within his household while he trained her in the ways of the warrior. Calra became the personal bodyguard for Lorak’s son Revak while Crel trained her in total secret.
Nine years would pass before the Warrior’s launched their coupe and in that period Calra lost what little loyalty she’d had to the Warrior caste when the Warrior’s stormed the palace she fought alongside Crel defending the Valar’s and watched him die. In the end only Calra and Revak Valar escaped while Lorak was captured and immediately executed. Using only two hyperspace capable starfighters as transport they fled their home looking for a new life among the stars.
There they discovered a life full of conflict and adventure… and injury. Shortly after being pursued by the Chiss Calra took a shot from a Trandoshan Concussion Rifle that proved to be nearly fatal. With Revak’s and Jenel Olo’s help she managed to make a full recovery. Afterward it became clear that the two worked well as a team as they battled pirates, hutt minions, and a rather dogged sith called Darth Bellum.
With the formation of their pirate band operating against the Hutt’s, Calra has taken up a new mantel and responsibility as the head of ship security and boarding operations. In addition Revak has begun tutoring her in the ways of the Worker Caste in order to help them maintain their new ship, the
Ion Dragon.
Calra’s relationship with Revak has changed significantly, no longer are they friends or even bodyguard and charge, but lovers.
Description: 
Calra Nordur’s appearance is striking for a Rapora. She stands approximately 1.8 meters tall when fully erect and has a build which is not humanoid. She has a rusty brown skin on top with grey scales on her underside. The two colors are separated by a black and white stripe which starts at her eye ridge and moves to the tip of her tail. The middle claw is slightly smaller then the one found on a male which along with her slight chest are the primary means of differentiating her and other rapora’s gender.
Calra’s force skills are extremely limited, she has the ability to use basic precognition techniques in combat as well as force enhancements to all of her basic senses. Her other force abilities include push, absorption, and telekinesis. She’s currently learning force forgery, energy absorption and emission (Required for advanced forge techniques), Telekinesis, Micro-telekinesis (The ability to move atoms and other sub atomic particles through the force), force structure (The ability to detect the workings and structure of an object through the force), and basic force healing.
