Orielle Rue: I had three years of French in high school, but it is a while ago and I have forgotten so much of it. I really want to know French, but so far it's pretty heavy. So many grammatical rules and exceptions. sweatdrop But at least I'm going to France in a couple of weeks, so hopefully I'll get to practice a bit there. smile Thank you! Really? That's great C: I took French for four years in high school. I only had four other people in my class my last year of the class! Most everyone in my school was taking Spanish or they quit French after the first two years. Wowz! You're going to France?! Oooof o___o I am rather envious------great chance to practice! Please take pictures for us when you go ^___^
Yes, I agree, the language is difficult to get used to just because of all the rules and the sometimes ridiculous exceptions to them. We had to learn sooo many tenses my senior year and yet I only remember a handful of them---although really, the other tenses aren't used that often I believe. I haven't been speaking much French for a few months and I'm afraid I'll forget it if I don't practice :C I had really been hoping to take it this semester in college but alas, it was not so.

I only wanna master one language, because then I can optimize it.
Although if I could learn Japanese, that'd be sweet. >_>;

You are right Sui, it could be worth a try.. I changed mine into something more complicated as well! Thanks Abi, I'll try to find the time. smile Bona: Haha, thank you! I do like your avatar, but I don't have a lot of free time at the moment. Rue: France isn't really that far away for me, and it's pretty cheap to fly there. I've been to France 6-7 times, and my family just bought a house there, so I'll probably start travelling there a few times a year from now on. whee It is really easy to forget when you don't use the language. I haven't had French lessons in five years before now, so it feels like I'm almost starting from scratch. sad I think learning more languages helps you realize the potential of your own language, and it broadens your horizons since more literature becomes available to you and you have more ways of expressing yourself. wink I finished a painting biggrin

MY EYES. THEY ARE LYING TO ME.
NO ONE CAN BE THAT GOOD. NO ONE. D:<
Nah, this is the best you've done. Far above anything I've seen from you before. Takes my breath away. It seriously looks like a picture taken by the worlds most kickass camera. X_x

Actually, that college class I was taking said they wanted me to write a small report about any digital painter I wanted. I instantly thought "Orielle, the most kickass painter I know!" but then he said we needed a biography of the person and some sources, and I thought "well ******** that, she's not gonna lose her privacy over this! D:<" so I chose some odd Polish guy.
Yeah, that's it. >_>

Orielle, you always have the most awesome avies! *has the sudden urge to draw it*
Do I hear something about, le francais? Hon-hon-hon...*ahem* I learned it for about 12 years, 'cause of happy elementary school options. It's a fun language, and I hope never to forget how to speak it ^^.

I speak ridiculously little French, but hopefully that will change since I have my first oral exam in a few weeks. Wow, twelve years! You must be pretty fluent then, do you get to use it a lot still?

The pose would probably make more sense if there was somesort of background. I imagine it would be some form of staircase, possibly a rocky cliff-y thing.
I'm okay, so long as I'm not talking to the Quebecois...they talk far too fast. I just hit university, so I'm talking a French class...other than that, I listen to music and on the rare occasion watch a movie in French. That about sums up the usefulness of French on the west coast of Canada xP
