Curtis Saxton is the head of Star Wars Technical Commentaries while EvilleJedi is a World acclaimed game modder whose Warlords mod has been hailed as the most realistic depiction of Star Wars ever made.

What You fail to realize sir! Is that the LEC authorities never get it right! They said the Executor was 8 Kilometers long, the Broadside class cruiser was something along 300 meters, and that the Falcon was 25 meters across. In truth the Executor is 19km long, the Broadside is 55 meters long, and the Falcon is 55 meters across.

Also, Thrawn would have been insulted that they named a Star Dreadnaught after him. He always fought against the construction of such large ships, arguing they were a waste of credits. You notice that he commanded a number of battles in the Galactic Civil War on a VSD?

The Pelleaon may be the replacement for the ISD, but if there is a Thrawn class it would probably replace the VSD. He so loved those Light Destroyers.

Until it is confirmed that the palleon is not a super star destroyer, too small to be considered one, and is the size of an ISD, we're going to hold the validity of the maker's words as the most accurate and reliable source out there, which claim that the palleon is the most up to date replacement for the super star destroyer line. Not some theoretical abstract based upon numbers which are obtained by looking at a picture which lacks any details to make a full fledged comparison.

Plus, if we're going to count on the fact that the authorities are wrong, what makes you think that your calculations are going to be accepted as right? They will make it whatever damn size they choose, whether or not it fits your little formula. If they wish to throw out your little measurement system, you're screwed.

In all rights, we're going by canonicy. And a little math problem created by the game gurus will always be secondary to the people who actually created it. End of Story. Get over yourself, and play the game.

If we held to the makers words above all else the Imperial Star Destroyer would be six miles long! (As its original conceptualization states) It doesn't matter what the maker says... What matters is what the canon shows (In this case the Comic Books and published images)... In the case of the Pelleaon all we have are some images with Pelleaon-class ships by themselves and one image with an unknown vessel which we don't have a name for in the distance. A Vessel which Elladan Kenet misidentified for the Pelleaon.

I've been looking at the few images of the Pelleaon we have and have some interesting information for your consumption. The Pelleaon is an interdictor, equipped with a pair of projectors which are identical to a Dominator class Star Destroyer.

So I took one of the few images of a Dominator class we have and used it to calculate the ship's length. Thus I can give an upper and lower limit for the vessels size. She is between 3.2 Km and 4.8 Km. So a little bigger then my original calculations. While big, the Pelleaon isn't nearly as big as a 19km long Executor. In terms of vessel mass and scale she's much closer to the Titan Class Star Cruiser.

So here it is... A Pelleaon-class with an Imperial Star Destroyer in close escort. This image assumes the smaller 3.2 Km length of the vessel.

What the heck is your definition of canonicy (Which isn't a word by the way, I think Canonical is what you're going for)?

Is it the official information or whats revealed in the film/books/movies. I ask because the two are often times at odds, and I'm sure they'll be at odds on this.

Their only argument is that the ship was a new take on the idea of a super star destroyer. As I have said, artists intentions mean nothing in Canon... How it appears and is comparable to the rest of the universe is what defines it. If the artists intentions defined star wars the Imperial Star Destroyer would be 6 Miles long, because thats how big the artists originally envisioned the ship to be.

They immediately assume that the term super star destroyer means the Executor-class when they completely disreguard that many MUCH smaller vessels have been deemed "super star destroyers" and that my definition of the vessel is still in that "super" category. The Allegiance class has been called an SSD even though its only 2.4 Km long, the Vengeance is an SSD thats only 12 Km long, and even the Super-class (A miniaturized Executor) was just a mere 8 Km long.

So sure my definition of the ship is smaller then they expected, but it still can be called an SSD. But do they really expect Fel's empire to waste that much resources on ships the size of the Executor? Come on! Give Fel some credit... He's smarter then that.

Anyway, if you guys are going to insist on having the Pelleaon-class be a star dreadnaught. I'll have to start working on making up some ships to fill in the gaps... Cale: add the Wombat-class Star Frigate and Revenge-class Star Cruiser.

I'll start working on some Light Star Destroyers, Heavy Star Frigates, and Battlecruisers for the Empire.
