The Commando Modification features three specific upgrades, increased cooling systems and an augmented forward stock, a new infrared all-aspect scope, and a much larger energy pack designed to increase the blaster pack’s shot capacity three-fold.
Kusei has added a cyberport for use with her own hud and targeting computer and reprogrammed the sight dramatically increasing the weapons effectiveness at moving and ranged targets.
Side weapon: Blas-Tech E-54 Micro
When the Empire set forth requirements for a fully automatic blaster pistol for commando forces, Blast-Tech immediately set to work stripping down the E-54, by removing the stock, sight, and cutting the barrel down to a smaller version Blas-Tech succeeded in creating a pistol with the punch of a heavy blaster carbine. Unlike its predecessor the E-54 the Micro is prone to overheating and has a higher blast dissipation rate making it much less useful at longer ranges.
Kusei carries two of these pistols in belt holsters and has only modified them by installing a sighting chip that is compatible with both her armor and cybernetic implants.

Personal Ship: Tra’Baar-class Corvette

The Tra’Baar-class Corvette is the great grandchild of advances made by the Maki clan with the Arcadia project. The ship represents the most dangerous production starship that can be piloted by a single pilot. Like most Maki equipment it requires its user to be cyberized with compatible implants. Unlike the original designs these vessels lack any sentience or sense of self becoming one with their pilot and entirely dependent upon the pilot.
The small craft is armed with a pair of quad class-7 turbolaser turrets, two class-9 torpedo launchers, and a plasmatic particle-beam emitter that can slice through the shields and hulls of most light corvettes and starfighters.
Kusei’s vessel is pretty close to standard except it has been upgraded with a much more intelligent AI for support in combat and limited independent action. It is also fitted with specialized remote slicing gear.
Personal Droid: Tach A Dral’biskar’strill or “Bright Metal Strill”
Kusei’s Metal Strill is also one of her personal means of conveyance on a planet’s surface. In addition Kusei has used her own mind and memory to enhance the slicing skills of the droid enabling it to assist her when diving computer systems. She named it “Tach” after the primates of Kashyyk for its monkey like antics.
Short History:Kusei Maki is the granddaughter of the current leader of the Maki clan, Ari Maki. Since her youth she was trained both in the ways of the mandalorian warrior and the Maki cyber-commando. She immediately showed a natural gift for the computer programming and cybernetics, for these reasons she received her first cybernetic implants two years earlier then the norm at twelve years. Upon reaching adulthood she displayed her skills by tracking down and capturing a notorious Bothan Slicer and claiming an old Imperial Bounty on his head.
Like the rest of the Maki clan, Kusei allied herself with Mandalore the Immortal upon the outbreak of the second Mandalorian Civil War. She would prove herself both on the frontline and serving as a cyber-warfare specialist with Borill Elsyn’s 12th Task Force. For her services she has been granted a commission in the Imperial Fleet and has reached the rank of Admiral. She served with distinction working against Imperialist Mandalorian Forces and has been begun working extensively with the Imperial Storm Commandos.
While she feels that she is honor bound to repay the Mandalorian Debt to the Galactic Empire and Borill Elsyn, allegiance to her clan and people comes first.
Description:
Kusei Maki is a human of relatively small stature, her natural hair color is blond but she’s been known to color it different hues, most often a shade of blue or purple. She also has a visible cybernetic implant just below left temple, often times she wears a rangefinder or hud over her left eye.
Her armor is a hybrid of Storm Commando and Mandalorian design. It’s a homegrown design which utilized the SCOM-F uniform as its basic design, made with mandalorian armor it offers slightly more protection then a standard set of mandalorian armor. In addition it has been equipped with both a light bending appliqué that makes it much more difficult to see in combat and both a ray shield generator and therm-optic camouflage. Kusei will often times also wear a Repulsor-shield belt to protect against physical impacts.
