Not sure how I've not said anything to this.

If you talk to Wiccans who do not work with the God - they are not Wiccans, period. "One cannot work without the other - one without the other is incomplete".

Also, someone above stated that the Goddess is the power, and the God uses it. This is not correct. "The male is the power and the reservoir of the power - the female taps the power in him and channels it." Without the proper action of both male and female, the power doesn't do anything - both Lord and Lady have a vital role in creation.

to say there is a Goddess is to say there is a lack... there are Goddesses... of the one God's creationism... and no woman in her right mind would ever birth the earth in the state it's in from her own womb, that's disgusting... it had to have been a man's job because man is responsible for his relationship with woman, and woman is indepted to man's care, without the care of the man the moan hasn't the means to develop beyond the hand to mouth think and without the developed woman man has no effort or motivation... they go hand in hand and they develop together and it is God who created the earth and universe for Himself and His Daughter/Mother/Wife/Lover because she and all the other Goddesses watch over God when God works at keeping order and peace as well as fighting for the two... Because they are him and he is she and there is no other way.

For the record, Hera had a child (Hesphios? SP), so it's not unheard of myths for a Goddess to have a child without a man, same deal with the birth of Athena. (She had her child out of spite for Zeus) The Greek creation myths do involve sex between the Earth and the Air, so it does work like that as well.

However, that's more general neopagan as opposed to Wiccan.

Though I come from a monotheistic path there are beings in my religion that can be equated to gods since they are of God. In the Gnostic creation myth, Sophia (Wisdom) and the Logos (Word) are the lowest emanated dualistic couple that are God, and critical since they are the closest to us. It is the coupling of these two that makes one perfect and without one you can't have perfection or know God. If you only have Sophia then all that can be created is abortions. If you only have the Logos then you have just dead descriptions.
