I think perfect IV's are worth it cuz even a little extra boost is helpful in a battle.

Yeah, I'm not saying IV's don't help, I saying they don't make as big of a difference as people seem to think.

IVs do help. My Drapion almost had a perfect IV for Defense.

IVs are too much work for me. i only do EV training and vene at that, it seems a bit much just for a game. Buts thats probaly because I have the worst luck in the world. x3

Why do people care so much about having perfect IV's in a pokemon? What people offer for 31 IV's is way too much.

Do the math. At Lv 100, IV's can only effect a stat by +/- 15 points. Perfect EV training, on the other hand, can effect a stat by up to +63 points in a particular stat. What's better, natures and characteristics can effect a stat buy as much as -50 or +100 points at Lv 100.

Anyway, there's my rant. I hope I leveled out the trading market a little bit.

Do any of you try for perfect IV's?
How much would you spend for perfect IV's?
Did I change anyone's opinion?

Overall, 31x6 is more than 63x2. Also, 31+63 is a lot higher than 63.

I'd give 3 days for a pokémon with perfect IVs (and nature), since that's how long it takes me anyways. In a trade, I'd give a similarly raised pokémon in return- perfect IVs for perfect IVs. It only makes sense.

Well, I go for 2 or 3 perfect IVs in choice stats (attack+speed for Salamence etc.), and will continue to do so, because it helps a lot. I don't care about the other 3 or 4 stats, though.

My Forrtetess has 31 IVs in DEF it has 400 DEF!!!!!!

I take a percentage to see how much IVs matter. If it's only 1-3% of the pokemon's total stat that gets lowered, I'll accept that. But if a pokemon's base stat is low (shuckle's HP), the IV means much more.
