My personal favorite by far is Shikamaru. He's an intelligent character. That seems wise beyond his years. Despite his laziness the character also makes a strong leader. His loyalty to his friends is genuine which is something you can't say about all of the characters. My favorite villain would have to be Raiga. First off the guy was very menacing. His very presence caused fear or anger. The guy would use the power of lightning as a weapon. Which made him a rather unlikeable guy. If it wasn't for the kindness he showed to that one character. Standing by them for all of those years caring for them. This character would have just been written off as an insane one dimensional villain.

My least favorite character by far is Itachi Uchiha. Anyone that kills an entire town full of family members. Is both beyond help and undeserving of it. On top of that, unrelated to the anime. I've found a number of people that use the alias Sasuke, Uchiha and/or Itachi. To be rather insolent people. I've literally been flamed by more than one person using these handles. The character Sasuke would be an alright character. But unfortunately many of the fans of this character. Pick out the most vulgar characteristics as reasons to like them.
