History: When she was old enough to start asking about him, Hasana's mother told her her father had left them, but would never say why. It is Hasana's belief she had the intention to when she was older, but unfortunately, her mother passed on when she and her twin brother, Banji, were both cubs.

The loss rattled Hasana greatly, but with her brother, she was convinced she could keep going. It was cruelly ironic that the sleep she drifted into after deciding this would be the last she would have in his company for a long while. She awoke to find herself alone. Panicking, she was convinced her brother was lost somewhere, so took off to find him.

Filthy, tired and on the verge of starving a month later, her desperation to find her sibling drew the Goddess of the Lost, Mwokoti, to her. Mwokoti felt pity for the orphaned mortal cub. She promised to find her brother and took her to a small group of lionesses to be cared for until that time. There was also a single male, a cub named Nishan. The two met when Nishan mistook Hasana as an exceptionally small zebra and attacked her. This would have made enemies for many pairs. Nishan and Hasana, however, ended up as best friends and their mutual titles are still standing.

The two aged quickly. Around the time they could be considered juvenile, Mwokoti finally returned. She told Hasana that her brother had left her of his own free will, that he was not lost, and, worst of all, that he had no desire to meet with her again. The blow caused damage to her personality that would not be noticeable until later in life. The young lioness refused to accept the reality, and struck out on her own to find Banji.

She fed off small birds and things she managed to catch, or things she would find dead, which didn't happen often. Her time from there on was spent entirely alone. She withdrew from even casual conversations. Her mind was set on finding her brother and nothing else. It wasn't until she had almost reached adulthood she finally gave up her quest.

The first lion she met after this decision was one named Triv'an. Perhaps because of her lack of social interaction for so long, Hasana fell for him. Fast. The two ended up having six daughters before they were really ready, especially Hasana. Among these daughters was one named Tarajia, who bared a striking resemblance to Banji.

The memories of her brother came rushing back, as did the ache in her heart that his presence had left. Without realizing it, Hasana began to try and turn Tarajia into Banji. It was unfortunate she never realized how much strife this caused not just Tara, but her other daughters.

On a day that didn't seem all that eventful at first, her oldest daughter, Nyumbani, her most dramatic, Ohahira, and Tarajia just happened to find Banji. Having no idea how his sister had changed, the fact she had children didn't surprise him, and he agreed to come with them to see her, having changed himself. A chain of events followed, none of which were good for Hasana.

Tarajia, with Banji reunited with Hasana, opted to leave. Nyumbani chased after her, though to Hasana's knowledge she had simply left the family, too. In his guilt, Banji left her also, for the second time. Ohahira began to change in personality, and Hasana blamed herself for it, assuming that driving her daughters away had been to blame. Thinking she wanted to leave also, Hasana gave Ohahira permission to leave her, feeling it was for her own good. Her daughter misunderstood this as telling her to leave, which Hasana never figured out.

The days after that were long ones. Hasana became determined to make herself better. She endlessly worked on improving her own flaws and being the best mother she could to the remaining three daughters. She began to prod them to find mates and have grandchildren, so she could display and prove that she was more suitable as a parent--or in this case, a grandparent--than she had been before.

It ended up that she had three more sons of her own before her daughters had even spoken with any males.

Personality: Hasana has impressively improved many her personal flaws since half of her daughters left her. Unfortunately, the fact she is desperate to show this to those that said flaws caused woes to is proof that in process of fixing old flaws she's created new ones. As she's attempting to be more firm and 'parental' with her offspring than before, it may not seem like it, but she now desperately seeks approval from her entire family, especially her second litter, fearing her they may come to hate her.

Any spontaneous, harsh words her remaining daughters or sons fling at her in times of anger she will take to heart. To an extent, she has also become self-loathing. That isn't to say she's hateful toward herself entirely, but the past events have left her paranoid, for lack of a better word, that anything bad happening within the family is her fault. This causes a lot of eternal guilt that she's kept hidden so far.

Even with three new sons, she still wants to baby her daughters, including feeding them. This is a bad habit she's trying to break by treating them as equals; as adults, and letting them do as they please. Still, if they ever did anything that created back-lashing consequences, Hasana would be right there to make things easier.

The deep-rooted love that she still has for her family, she now has for everyone. 'Motherly' is a word commonly used to describe her. Any sad lion she comes across she will make avid attempts to cheer up, and any orphans that stumble her way she will welcome to be adopted into her own family. Even if they aren't cubs.
